Chapter 81: I am Devon

At Helion Kingdom

"Hah! I knew there was sothing special about the royal bloodline of Ebodia!" Devon cackled maniacally. "No wonder the dragon king’s soul chose the prince of Ebodia as its host. He’s just perfect!"

The news about Queen Mineah’s angelic lineage from the Kingdom of Valcrez finally shed light confirming Tarah’s revelation to him a while ago regarding Ezekiel’s angelic lineage.

Devon smirked at the thought of how he would easily harness the power of the dragon, given his own heritage as a descendant of fallen angels. With both of his parents being fallen angels turned demons, Devon was a pureblooded demon, imbued with formidable strength. This realization emphasized his superiority over Ezekiel, who was only a half-breed, in terms of raw power.

But just as quickly, his expression suddenly darkened, and he raised his hand as if he was strangling soone. Right then, the sorceress not far from him suddenly floated as she struggled to breathe.

"You incompetent bitch! You took months crafting that spell to cause chaos in Valcrez, but look at what you’ve done! It was futile!" he roared in rage. "Not only did you fail in your task, but you’ve also alerted them of the danger coming their way. They’ve gone into complete lockdown! So tell

then, how do we continue from here?!"

"Master, allow

to handle Valcrez," Zoran quickly interjected. "I, for one, know every inch of that kingdom having grown up there. I have spies planted everywhere, and-"

"Zoran! Focus on capturing the damn Prince and that dragon for ! I want the dragon by any ans necessary!" Devon roared, his eyes emanating an ominous glow. "I want him captured no matter what!"

Zoran bit his tongue. Tarah had advised him to wait, promising to deliver Ezekiel to him personally. However, he couldn’t afford to wait any longer. He was determined to capture Ezekiel by any ans necessary and have him imprisoned even if the rging of the dragon’s spirit with him was still not complete.

Quickly bowing his head, Zoran said, "I understand, Master."

"Please spare , Master. I will not fail this ti. Please give

anoth-"

*crack*

anwhile, the sorceress pleaded desperately for her life. However, her words were cut short by the sickening sound of her bones snapping, followed by her body falling onto the ground with a thud.

"Everyone, get out except for Zoran and Sibil!" Devon’s voice thundered, to which the room cleared rapidly, leaving only the three of them. "Zoran. Is the dungeon ready? Make sure everything you need for the experint and extraction is ready."

Zoran raised his head. "Yes, Master."

"Sibil will be by your side from now on in this goal. I want you two to work closely in capturing and handling Ezekiel. He will also lead the extraction of Vulcan’s power," Devon directed.

"Now, leave and hunt as if it will be your last! I’m growing impatient with the slow and sluggish progress! That damn dragon is wreaking havoc on my forces, and I want it gone by any ans necessary!"

With but a roar, Zoran and Sibil quickly left, leaving Marla, who always stood by Devon’s side in the throne hall, promptly dismissed everyone present before then reaching out to touch and caress the Demon King’s shoulders.

"How many days has it been since Her Ladyship returned to us, My Lord?" Marla taunted. "The dragon is wreaking havoc on our forces in this war, and I find it annoying that your Seer is still not giving you any reports on it at all. I’m sure she knows about the fact that the prince has angel blood in him!"

Devon remained silent, allowing Marla to sit on his lap, and seductively brushed herself against him as she began kissing his neck.

Marla was unaware that Tarah had just visited a while ago, and Devon found satisfaction in Tarah’s submissive deanor, catering to everything he wanted. Not to ntion how Tarah disclosed Ezekiel’s angelic heritage to him.

He didn’t correct Marla now and allowed her to express her opinions against Tarah freely. Obsessed and deeply in love, Marla was devoted to him. Devon kept her by his side, recognizing her exceptional loyalty and willingness to sacrifice her life for him. It would be nice to have more like Marla by his side.

"Do you truly believe she will remain loyal to you? You killed her family and are currently threatening her using her brother. I’m certain she’s plotting against you, My Lord," Marla whispered, coaxing him further.

Devon allowed Marla to pull down his trousers, indulging in her touch as she played with his manhood. Unsatisfied with his encounters with Tarah, he sought solace in Marla’s attentions. Despite his insatiable desire for Tarah, his hunger for power prevented him from fully giving in to his urges.

"Do you honestly believe she is willing to be your Queen? For all we know, she’ll just use that position against you. The Tophet Blood Chain may prevent her from harming you directly, but that doesn’t an she can’t manipulate soone else to do the dirty work of killing you. You can’t possibly erase those facts." Marla continued.

Devon’s expression darkened instantly. Turning around, he seized Marla’s neck by the hand and hissed. "Stop irritating , Marla. I am Devon, the most powerful demon in this world! I get what I want, and no one can stop ," he firmly declared with a growl. "Tarah is mine whether she likes it or not!"

"Of course, you are, my lord, the most powerful demon, and no one can get in your way. But... you must kill her once she betrays you," Marla challenged.

Devon’s smirk widened as he pushed Marla down, his thoughts consud by Tarah’s beautiful face and perfect body. Despite his current engagent with Marla, his mind was fixated on his desire to possess Tarah completely. He envisioned her as his to defile repeatedly, his anticipation growing with each passing mont.

"And kill her?" Devon’s voice dripped with disdain at the re suggestion.

"Why would I end the fun prematurely? No, my dear Marla, if Tarah dares to betray , she’ll wish for death as I subject her to a fate far worse than re execution. I’ll make her suffer in ways she never imagined, every mont becoming a tornt she can’t escape." His eyes glinted with malice as he vowed to exact a severe and extre punishnt on Tarah should she ever dare to betray him.
