Chapter 241: In One Place
Katelina felt drained after performing the dragon bond between Cora and Aurum. She practically swayed as she walked back, but Ezekiel imdiately caught her in his arms. "Oh," she gasped when he suddenly carried her bridal style.
"I can walk," she whispered to him. "No, I’ll carry you back. You nearly drained your energy, and I can feel how weak you are right now through our bond," Ezekiel pointed out.
Well, she was indeed feeling weak, so she just hid her face in his chest to hide her embarrassnt because eyes were on them. She could even hear so whispers about how she and Ezekiel looked so perfect together. Fortunately, they were all positive comnts.
"I’m glad Cora finally accepted Aurum," Katelina humd with a smile. The dragon bond was successful because Cora finally opened her heart to accept Aurum as her dragon.
"Well, I’m surprised too, not to ntion seeing my cousin here!" Ezekiel comnted. "You an you didn’t see it coming? Him and Cora?" she asked curiously.
"Hmm, maybe I’m just too occupied... Although I’m aware that Cora is the only reason Apollo always visited my residence before, Cora would often avoid him. Anyway, I’m glad it seems to have worked out in the end," Ezekiel said.
They soon arrived at Zion Camp. "Your Majesty, what happened to Her Majesty?" It was Asura’s voice. Katelina looked at Ezekiel and said, "You can put
down now."
"No," Ezekiel simply answered.
"Is Levi already settled in his tent?" Ezekiel asked. "Yes, Your Majesty," Asura inford.
"Good. Katelina will need more rest since she just perford the dragon bond between Aurum and Cora. Please see to it that Levi gets everything he needs for the night. Have the servant bring dinner inside," Ezekiel instructed before proceeding inside their tent.
Katelina no longer comnted since she truly felt too weak to speak. Ezekiel gently laid her down on the bed and helped her sit up slightly, adjusting the pillows behind her. "I’ll feed you dinner. Eat first before you rest," he said.
Servants arrived with their dinner, and Ezekiel didn’t waste ti feeding her. "You’re pampering
too much. Don’t you need to go out for so work?" she teased, aware that Ezekiel needed to hunt down the remaining of Devon’s followers, not to ntion the hosts of Devon’s bloodthreads.
"King Amon wanted to go back to Helion because of the ambush incident," Ezekiel inford as he started to feed her.
"Do you still strongly believe he has Devon’s bloodthread?" she asked.
"Yes, but we need to be sure. My sister, Queen Mineah, might be able to help us since she’s already here, but she’s recuperating right now since she gave birth today," Ezekiel inford.
"Oh, you should have told . We should have paid her a visit. I should have brought her sothing," Katelina suddenly panicked. Then she realized, "Right! The Queen of Cordon is also your sister. Shouldn’t I pay her respects too and bring her sothing? Both of them are at this Global Summit!"
Ezekiel chuckled and said, "Relax, Kate. There’s no rush, alright? Take your ti. We can visit my sister Xenia first and then Mineah and her newborn baby next. Also, you don’t need to bring them anything. Just telling them that you’ll take care of
and love
forever will be enough for them!"
Katelina’s eyes widened and her face turned deep red. Ezekiel kissed her lips before he offered her another spoonful of rice. "Eat more, my Queen."
Her eyes welled up as she gladly took it and slowly munched. She felt so overwheld and fortunate to have soone like Ezekiel by her side.
"I love you too," Ezekiel suddenly muttered, making Katelina chuckle as she wiped her tears. He could feel her emotions, but it would still be nice if she would say the words ’I love you’ to him as well. She hesitated because of the mix of emotions swirling inside her heart. She wanted to say those words to him once she was sure of her feelings for him.
"I can feel your emotions, Katelina," Ezekiel said gently, sensing her inner turmoil. "But take your ti. I’m here, and I’m not going anywhere."
Katelina nodded, grateful for his understanding. "Thank you, Kiel. I just... I want to be certain when I say it."
He smiled and kissed her forehead. "I understand. Just know that I’m here for you, no matter what."
As soon as she finished her al, Ezekiel laid down beside her and cuddled her in his arms, where Katelina quickly fell into a deep slumber. Once she was asleep, Ezekiel carefully moved out of the makeshift bed. He kissed her forehead and whispered, "I’ll be back, my love."
He stepped out of the tent to find Kasper and Cora already waiting for him. He looked at Cora and said, "I will need eyes on King Amon."
"I understand, Your Majesty. I’ll put soone..." Cora answered. Then he turned to Kasper and asked, "Have you decided to stay in Ebodia? I will need you there, Master Kasper."
"Yes, I accept your offer," Kasper quickly answered with a grin, catching Ezekiel off guard.
"That’s quick. Are you sure?" Ezekiel asked, surprised by the swift decision knowing how Master Kasper hated staying in one place.
Kasper chuckled. "I am so sure. I found a reason to finally settle in one place. Lady Asura will stay wherever Queen Regent Katelina is since she’ll soon be crowned as the new Queen of Ebodia. I’ll gladly be of service to you as well."
Ezekiel shook his head, looking at both Kasper and Cora. It seed he wasn’t the only one who found love during the Global Summit. Nodding, he added, "Wizard Lurio needs your helping hand, especially now that Zion is under Ebodia’s Empire. It will be good to sort out potential students as future mages of Zion."
Ezekiel continued, "Our enemies are still out there, and we must remain vigilant. We need to hunt down all of Devon’s followers. We can’t let them hatch the five dragons they snatched and use them for their evil acts."
"Are you going out tonight, Sire?" Cora asked.
"Yes, I’ll just deal with a witch in the southern part of Zion. I’ll be back soon. Ensure tight security around Katelina and Levi’s tents," Ezekiel replied. Cora and Kasper both nodded. With that, Ezekiel walked to a clearing and shifted into his dragon form.
