Lu Shinian stood not far away.
The military uniform on his body was torn to shreds by the gale ford from spiritual power, exposing the cold pale skin underneath.
A gust swept by, leaving a bloodstain across his chest.
Lu Shinian frowned slightly, not because of the wounds on his body, but because of the fierce spiritual force.
"Ruan Ruan."
He spoke, disregarding the uncontrollable fierce gusts, and walked toward Su Ruan.
The gusts shredded his clothes to pieces and left more bloodstains on his body.
Yet he didn’t stop, his body straight, walking directly toward Su Ruan.
Once close, he reached out his hand to pull Su Ruan into his embrace, gently stroking her back.
"Baby, don’t be afraid, I’m here."
Perhaps having co in contact with a familiar presence, the blood-red in Su Ruan’s eyes gradually faded.
She stretched out her small hands, wrapping them around Lu Shinian’s waist, her head buried in his chest, voice soft, holding a trace of a barely noticeable sob.
"I’ve been looking for you for a long ti."
Really for a long, long ti, so long that she almost forgot who he was.
Lu Shinian still didn’t know exactly what had happened, only able to comfort her for now.
"Baby, be good, I’ve always been by your side."
"You don’t need to search, I’ve co to you myself."
Su Ruan seed not to hear what Lu Shinian was saying at the mont, only softly complaining, "You’re lying."
"You haven’t been by my side before."
She had lived in the Otherworld for a long, long ti, searching for him for a long ti as well, yet she never found him.
Eventually, he beca her obsession.
Lu Shinian thought Su Ruan was referring to the ti after the Insect Race war ten years ago when he returned to the Central Star on official duty, and they hadn’t seen each other for ten years.
Thinking of this, Lu Shinian tightened his grip on Su Ruan’s slender waist.
"I looked for you."
"I searched for a long ti."
He searched for a long ti on Musse Star, but didn’t expect she had always been on Tianhe Star.
Ultimately, it was his overconfidence, thinking the young girl would wait in place for him to return.
Lu Shinian sighed lightly in his heart and bowed his head, "I’m sorry."
Su Ruan tilted up her little face, her long lashes quivering, a hint of red at the corner of her eyes, as if about to cry.
But she only pursed her lips, her voice holding a stubborn sob, "You’re lying."
She traversed every corner of the Otherworld, unifying tribes as the "Goddess," yet never once saw his figure.
She beca truly above all others, but there was never anyone by her side.
Lu Shinian kissed the corner of her eyes with distress, his voice softening, "Okay, I was wrong, my darling won’t be wronged anymore, okay?"
Su Ruan replied softly with a "Hmm," extending her pinky, earnestly saying, "Then you have to make a pinky promise with ."
"No matter what happens in the future, you must co find ."
Lu Shinian seriously extended his pinky, hooking it with hers, his expression serious and solemn.
"I won’t let you leave ."
Not even His Majesty can.
No one in this world can make her leave him.
Su Ruan lowered her head, making the pinky promise with Lu Shinian, chanting the words that ca with such commitnts.
After speaking, she finally smiled in satisfaction.
"Mm, I won’t leave you."
A faint blush still lingered at the corner of her eyes, complenting her vibrant face, adding a touch of allure.
The air was faintly filled with the scent of blood, her fingertips stained with his blood as they rested on his chest.
The blood had grown cold by now, but upon her heart, it was burning hot.
Su Ruan lowered her head, regaining her reason, apologizing, "I’m sorry, I didn’t an to."
Lu Shinian chuckled lowly, "Baby, you don’t need to apologize to ."
"It was all voluntary."
If a small wound could earn her concern, he’d be willing to get hurt a few more tis.
"Does it hurt?" Su Ruan’s fingertips gently brushed over one of the bloodstains on his chest, where the skin was faintly split.
Her little face scrunched up, she quickly grabbed his wrist, her tone slightly firm, "I’m taking you to apply dicine."
Lu Shinian grasped her hand, letting out a light chuckle, "Ruan Ruan, did you forget this is the Second World?"
Su Ruan looked up at him, puzzled.
"In the Second World, a bit of potion will heal injuries."
"No need for that hassle."
Lu Shinian glanced at the ssage window that had been flashing crazily since earlier and frowned slightly.
He clicked to take a look and then his face darkened.
"Ruan Ruan, there’s a bit of a situation at the military school league, I have to head over."
He lowered his head and kissed Su Ruan on the lips.
"Ruan Ruan, don’t worry about , just rest at ho, I’ll be back soon."
After saying that, he changed clothes in an instant and left quickly.
Su Ruan watched his departing figure, unable to help but praise the powerful quick change function in the Second World.
After being comforted by Lu Shinian for a while, Su Ruan had cald down.
The craziness from earlier had faded away, she sat down slowly, staring ahead, lost in thought.
A minute later, the area near the coffee table seed to waver a bit.
Ian’s figure erged.
"Ian," Su Ruan spoke, her gaze seemingly landing on him, yet also beyond him, into the void.
Ian quickly crawled to Su Ruan’s side, using spiritual power to communicate: [Are you okay, little one?]
It’s all due to the damn restrictions of the human Star Network, making him only able to maintain his most primitive Insect Race state, very inconvenient.
After comforting the little one, he must go find Archi and have a look at this damn Holographic Chamber!
Su Ruan’s eyelashes quivered slightly, she asked, "Why do you call little one?"
Ian’s body stiffened.
He didn’t know how to explain this term for a mont, his mind racing, suddenly rembering there seems to be a term in the human world... brat?
[You know, isn’t there a word called brat?]
[It’s the word describing close relationships between people, right?]
[I treat you like my brat, and I’m used to using the term as a nickna, so I call you little one.]
At this mont, Ian applauded himself for his wit.
Su Ruan: ???
How does she not rember brat having that aning?
"It doesn’t seem to an that." Su Ruan explained, and she looked it up, showing Ian the explanation.
[Brat: a derogatory term.]
Ian: ...
[Ahem! I didn’t an to insult you!]Ian quickly explained, [I didn’t know brat had that aning either...]
Clearly the character for "brat" sounds nice, how does it beco such a aning when combined with "seed"?
It’s simply deceiving to bugs!
Su Ruan didn’t bla Ian, supposedly, the Hidden Clan was isolated from the world, even the Holographic Network that had long been widespread was forbidden, so not knowing the aning of the online term "brat" seed understandable.
However...
