Lu Shinian’s eyes slightly narrowed, he gently squeezed Su Ruan’s hand and whispered, "Ruan Ruan, I’ll go out for a bit and say more when I return."

Before Su Ruan could react, Lu Shinian had already stood up and walked out, not sure where he’d gone.

Inside the camp, Su Ruan watched the broadcast image, clicked into the live broadcast page of the Second Military University.

There was a lot of cheering for soone nad "Zhao Yujie" in the barrage.

Zhao Yujie was a fourth-year student in cha design at Second Military University, chosen by Lu Shinian to join the team of the Third Legion for this military tournant.

Second Military University was famous as a school for slackers, with a poor quality of students. Zhao Yujie was considered promising among the low achievers, and his skills were decent at Second Military University, but at Federation University, where excellence was abundant, his abilities wouldn’t stand out.

Su Ruan saw the introduction about Zhao Yujie in the live broadcast’s barrage, with many students hoping he could make it through the first day; as for the days after, expectations weren’t high.

It’s worth ntioning that in the tournant, if one encountered danger or wanted to quit, they could press the ergency exit button on the wristband.

Once pressed, the wristband would automatically create a protective barrier, shielding the wearer inside until the rescue team arrived to take them away.

But once the button is pressed, it signifies "elimination," so unless it’s a particularly critical situation, no one would usually press this button.

On the field, in the broadcast image, Zhao Yujie looked frail, with sowhat long hair; bangs covered his eyebrows, making it hard to see his eyes.

He remained silent, even when Qian Duoduo tried to make conversation, he barely responded.

In this ten-mber team, Zhao Yujie seed like a transparent presence, with no sense of existence. Apart from students from Second Military University, no one noticed him.

Su Ruan watched Zhao Yujie at the end of the team in the live broadcast, his lashes trembled, a trace of doubt crossed his eyes.

This person gave him a strange feeling, an indescribable sense of discord.

But they had all been thoroughly checked by people from the Four Great Armies before entering the competition field; logically, there shouldn’t be any surprises, it might just be his illusion.

Thinking this, Su Ruan continued watching the broadcast.

On the other side, Vice Wang hurriedly reported to Lu Shinian: "Commander, traces of the Insect Race have been discovered."

Lu Shinian frowned, "Have you confird?"

Vice Wang hurriedly shook his head, "Only a bit discovered, but currently still unsure if the Insect Race really exists."

"Commander, should we halt the competition for investigation?"

Lu Shinian contemplated for a mont, his ink-black eyes glinting darkly.

"Do not halt." He said in a deep voice, "I’ll conduct a secret investigation, you monitor the competition field."

"Yes!" Vice Wang quickly responded and left.

Lu Shinian glanced inside the camp, then turned to secretly enter the competition field for preliminary investigation.

anwhile, inside the camp, Little White, usually obediently resting in Su Ruan’s pocket, suddenly popped out, its small head peeking out adorably under the light with a pink forehead.

Su Ruan felt sothing amiss, lowered her head, and quickly pushed Little White back into her clothes pocket.

"Little White, not allowed." She said softly, "You can’t create illusions."

Little White popped out again, rubbed its head against Su Ruan’s fingertips, its body moving to climb along her finger.

Su Ruan opened her hand, watching Little White climb into her palm, using the fingertip of her other hand to lightly tap the pink dot on its forehead.

"Little White, do you want to watch the broadcast too?"

Little White tilted its head, then lay flat in her palm.

Su Ruan: ...

Is this acting cute?

"You can’t create illusions, don’t cause trouble." Su Ruan said softly, "Understand?"

Little White obediently nodded, continued to lay flat.

Su Ruan held it in her palm, then continued to watch the broadcast.

The original four broadcast images had now split into nine.

The people from the Four Great Armies were quite synchronized, deciding that ten people together made too large a target, so now they had chosen to act separately.

During this week, they not only need to find the "military token," but also have to find ways to acquire food and water to et basic needs, while preparing for potential sudden situations and attacks from other legions.

This is not only a battle for capture, but also a survival battle.

Their enemies are not only other legions but also the harsh natural conditions and possibly appearing beasts at any ti.

Each cha Warrior’s cha is just a basic model, with limited attack power. Facing this harsh survival environnt will depend on team coordination.

This was Su Ruan’s first ti watching a military tournant broadcast, intently focused on the broadcast screen.

Due to personnel dispersion, the broadcast screen had further split into sixteen small blocks.

While others watching just chose one broadcast room to focus, Su Ruan stood before the sixteen block broadcast screens, taking in all the images.

Her pure black pupils faintly flashed with a gleam.

In the bottom left corner, for a mont, a shadow seed to flash by, too quick for anyone to capture, but Su Ruan saw it clearly.

"Strange." She whispered to herself, brows lightly furrowing.

On the competition field, Lu Shinian stood on a tree trunk, dense leaves shrouded his figure, barely avoiding cara capture.

Judges privately entering the competition field violated regulations; he couldn’t be captured by caras, or he couldn’t explain.

Muhe Star had the issue of Insect Race presence, it couldn’t be exposed to the public.

Ten years ago, a great war had left the Federation in ruins; many experienced post-war syndros due to separation, destruction, and loss.

The Federation had taken ten years to finally develop into its current state, in civilians’ minds, the vile Insect Race had long returned to their filthy places, supposedly not appearing within Federation borders.

If Muhe Star’s Insect Race matter is exposed, consequences could be dire.

Even if there are, they must be smothered in the cradle, not letting the public know.

Before exposure, he must locate remaining Insect Race on Muhe Star, determine if they’re harmless like the Illusion Insects, or...

Lu Shinian’s eyes slightly narrowed, invisible spiritual power dispersed, centering on him, gradually spreading outward.

In the Third Legion camp, Su Ruan suddenly felt a chill, as though being watched.

She quickly tucked the Illusion Insect into her arms and walked out.
