After pondering for a bit, Wang Yongzhu asked, "I forgot to ask, since Jindou got married, is Lady Lin still in Qilidun? Did you take Brother Rong’s mother to et Lady Lin?"

Wang Yongfu replied, sowhat dazedly, "Where else could she go now? She’s afraid to return to her parents’ ho, and the Lin Family has spread word that if she dares to leave Qilidun, they’ll bring her back and sell her into the deep mountains."

"Besides, in our village, with both Jindou and Jinguan around, we can’t just stand by and watch her starve, right? Over the past few years, even though we ignored her, we renovated the place she lives in. She’s beco more well-behaved now and hasn’t caused any trouble."

"After Jindou’s wife gave birth to Brother Rong, she shalessly ca over, saying she wanted to help out during the month of confinent and take care of the child. But I didn’t agree, and she didn’t make a fuss, only occasionally sneaking in a couple of pairs of shoes she made for Brother Rong. Jindou’s wife was too embarrassed to throw them out, and eventually returned a few food items as gifts—"

Wang Yongzhu knowingly said, "Was it Jinguan who sent them?"

Wang Yongfu, still sowhat confused, nodded.

Wang Yongzhu understood, seeing Wang Yongfu still didn’t get it, couldn’t help but rub his forehead, "Brother, don’t you understand? Jinguan has his own intentions, and I’m afraid soone is instigating him from behind—"

At this point, even a fool would understand.

Wang Yongfu’s face turned livid, "This ungrateful child! Has he forgotten the past?"

Wang Yongzhu had fulfilled his duty to remind, so he didn’t say more.

When they returned to the Song Family Courtyard, they saw Wang Yongfu angrily getting off the carriage and charging into the courtyard.

Unfortunately, Wang Yongfu had nowhere to vent his anger because, except for Old Granny Zhang, everyone had gone shopping and hadn’t returned yet.

Wang Yongzhu tried to persuade him with a few words from behind, but Wang Yongfu felt suppressed and uncomfortable, decided to fetch a firewood stick from the kitchen, sat on a small stool, and waited at the front gate.

Wang Yongzhu let him be.

Upon entering the house, Old Granny Zhang first heard so noise, learned that Eldest Brother Wang Yongfu had returned, and then was surprised when he ran out again.

Still unaware of what was going on.

Seeing Wang Yongzhu co in, she quickly asked about Old Doctor Du’s diagnosis results.

After listening to Wang Yongzhu’s explanation, she sighed and just accepted it.

Then she asked what madness had overco Wang Yongfu, charging in and out?

Wang Yongzhu explained the situation with Jinguan, and Old Granny Zhang frowned, "I knew Lady Lin wouldn’t stay calm. No matter, they have separated households, let them solve their problems themselves! Serves them right! He argued with for marrying Lady Lin, now it’s his turn to taste this!"

Wang Yongzhu also said, "I naturally won’t intervene, just let them be!"

Old Granny Zhang couldn’t help but remind, "But as for the Zhao Family, it’s worth checking if they have any ulterior motives, if they simply want a connection with Chongjin, fine, but if they have other ideas, we won’t stand for it!"

Wang Yongzhu nodded, "Mom, don’t worry, I’ll have soone look into it shortly. You shouldn’t bother, just in case it creates trouble!"

Old Granny Zhang sneered, "Wishful thinking! I say, haven’t seen your mom these years, didn’t think about this old lady for good things, now for themselves, they want to use your old mother! Bah! Dream on!"

The mother and daughter ca to an agreent in their hearts, and when they reached the front yard, Wang Yongzhu gestured for Yao Da to co over, whispered two commands.

Yao Da accepted the orders and left without further ntion.

Only saying that the Wang Family, it was rare for all ages, ca to the county to widen their horizons, and their eyes were all wide open.

If Yao Da hadn’t instructed a few guards to follow, perhaps so Little Beans might have wandered off unnoticed.

They truly appeared like country bumpkins who had never seen the world.

However, those vendors were sharp-eyed, seeing this group, albeit looking inexperienced, their attire wasn’t plain. Noticed the few burly n unconspicuously following behind, they guessed these might be relatives of so rich country family visiting the county.

Country bumpkin with money = business opportunity = big spender.

The vendors imdiately surrounded them, enthusiastically promoting their wares.

Suddenly, the Wang Family was overwheld, and upon seeing these items, not found in town, they couldn’t resist.

By the ti they broke through the vendors, everyone was carrying a pile of stuff in their hands.

The won were so excited, led by Liu Xiaoqiao, their interests expanded beyond roadside stalls to the shops along the street.

Lady Jiang wanted to buy Jinhua so fashionable dowries, while Liu Xiaoqiao and Quan Xiuniang wanted to broaden their views, ventured into the shops along the street, and imdiately couldn’t control themselves.

One shop after another, the won beca more spirited, their faces glowing as if they had ingested an elixir.

The n trailing behind beca more listless, as if hit by frost.

Especially a few Little Beans, who initially were excited, looking here and there.

But after walking through almost the whole street, Little Beans only felt sore feet, aching legs, everything hurt, and beca languid.

Jinsui was alright, she had a special seat, her father’s shoulder, but even she was getting sleepy.

Wang Yonggui spoke up, wanting to persuade the won to take it easy.

But he was silenced by the fierce stares from the Wang Family won.

Not to ntion the others, however tired, they could only follow along bitterly.

Not just the Wang Family n, even the guards behind them were also complaining incessantly.

Who would’ve thought protecting Madam’s relatives on a shopping trip would be such a daunting task?

Who would’ve guessed, won’s shopping could be this terrifying? It’s almost a silent killer!

Finally, as the sun set, both the Wang Family n and the guards behind were laden with various goods.

Looking at the situation, they had to hire another carriage specifically to load the day’s purchases as their own carriage couldn’t fit it all.

The Wang Family won, slightly reluctant, headed back ho.

Once off the carriage, the n couldn’t wait to get in and relax their legs.

Pushing open the door, they saw their elder brother standing there like a deity at the door, who promptly stood up as they returned, throwing the firewood stick over.

The first target being Jinguan, who reacted swiftly, shielding his head and ducking behind Wang Yonggui.

Wang Yonggui, being slick, wouldn’t let Jinguan use him as a shield.

His chubby body deftly sidestepped, conveniently lifting Jinguan and shoving him towards Wang Yongfu.

Wang Yongfu rcilessly struck Jinguan’s back with the firewood stick.

Jinguan yelped, jumping up and down, "Dad! What are you doing? Why are you hitting ?"

Wang Yongfu said nothing, just kept hitting.

Eventually exhausted, as Jinguan’s agility allowed him to evade most, Wang Yongfu, out of breath, had to stop.

The Little Beans on the side, far from being afraid, clapped and laughed.

Jinguan, extrely frustrated, tried to flee, but was blocked on all sides.

Attempting to dodge, there was no room to maneuver, also worried about his father running out of breath.

Had to withstand a few blows.

Only when Wang Yongfu was worn out, throwing the stick aside, Jinguan rubbed the hit areas, with a grimace, approaching, "Dad, have you cald down yet?"

Wang Yongfu grabbed Jinguan’s shirt, "Co with !" And with that, pulled Jinguan to the adjacent courtyard.

The others exchanged puzzled looks, not knowing what had gotten into Wang Yongfu. Only Quan Xiuniang and Jindou vaguely guessed, exchanged a glance, and hurriedly followed.
