347: Chapter 347: I’m Not Interested

Sun Ahfu hurriedly stretched out his hand to stop him, “Sanlang, I’m staying over this side—” As soon as he moved, a stench hit them in the face.

Wang Yonggui couldn’t help but hold his breath and stepped back two steps before saying reluctantly, “Ah, Ahfu, you’ve suffered these past few days.

My mother has been in such a temper recently.

Wait until she calms down, and I’ll talk to her.

You’ll just have to bear with it for a few more days…”

As he spoke, he entered the storeroom with the bundle, but the small room was so cluttered that Lady Lin had only managed to clear a space barely big enough for one person to lie down, and there really was nowhere to put anything.

Wang Yonggui actually wanted to put down the bundle and co out, but Sun Ahfu was blocking the door, and that stink kept drilling into his nostrils.

After enduring it for a mont, Wang Yonggui turned his back to Sun Ahfu, pinched his nose and said, “Ahfu, this room is too small, and it’s really uncomfortable for you.

Please go outside for a bit.

Let Sanlang tidy up for you.

No matter what, Sanlang cares about you~~”

Lady Sun guessed she’d have to live in this shabby little room for at least a while—how could soone stay in a place with just a bundle of straw?

Wang Laosan was willing to tidy up for her, she couldn’t ask for more.

She also noticed the unpleasant odor on her own body, so she asked Wang Laosan to find her washcloth, clapper and change of clothes from the bundle.

She shalessly approached Lady Jiang, “Sister, could I borrow a basin?

I need to wipe myself down.”

In this house, she had noticed in just one day, the old lady and that young girl were not to be provoked.

The man from the main house seed honest enough, but his wife was not an easy one to deal with.

After thinking it over, only Lady Jiang seed easy to handle.

Lady Jiang was very reluctant.

But Wang Yonggui heard and poked his head out of the small room, “Ahfu’s asking to borrow a basin from you, why the fuss?

Is this how you act as a sister?

Hurry up and give her the basin, then co and help your husband.

Where in the world is it the norm for the husband to work while the wife takes a break?”

Lady Jiang clenched her teeth, took a wooden basin from the house, and handed it to Lady Sun.

Lady Sun was particularly sweet with her words, smiling triumphantly, “Thank you, sister.

I’ll return it to you once I’m done.”

“Don’t bother!” Lady Jiang clenched her teeth; she found things used by such a woman dirty.

While Wang Yonggui was still hurrying her, Lady Jiang had no choice but to go to help; from inside the house, Old Granny Zhang bellowed, “Laosan’s House, aren’t you going to cook dinner?

Do you want to starve my daughter to death?

My daughter has been tired out all day long outside, and here you all are, each taking it easy at ho—no cooking, no tea boiling.

Are you trying to turn the heavens upside down?”

Upon hearing this, Lady Jiang quickly grabbed the food and scurried to the kitchen.

Lady Sun drew water from the well, washed her hair with her own soap, then carried water to a secluded corner to wipe down her body and change clothes, feeling much fresher afterwards.

Wang Yonggui, after all, was a man; although he wasn’t that good at tidying the house, he had the strength to shift so of the clutter around and managed to clear a place for Lady Sun’s belongings.

Seeing Lady Sun changed into clean clothes, looking fresh and devoid of the bad sll, her skin still a bit flush but wearing clothes that fit her well, highlighting her waist and shape of her hips, she had regained so of her appearance.

Standing by the door so gracefully, damp with water vapor, Wang Yonggui couldn’t help but swallow hard.

He grabbed Lady Sun into the house, closed the door, and started fondling her…

In no ti, Lady Sun’s deliberately subdued laughter could be heard from the small room.

Lady Lin spat in disgust outside, “Let’s go inside, don’t let those shaless things dirty our ears!”

Jinhua turned pale with anger, snatched up the pastries in Jinpan’s hands, threw them to the ground, and holding Jinshao, she stord into the house.

Suddenly, there was not a soul left in the courtyard.

After all, it was still dayti and he was at ho, so Wang Yonggui was reserved, touching only a little more than usual and nibbling a few bites, before Sun Ahfu, laughing coquettishly, dodged away.

The two spread out the bedding affectionately on the straw, and Wang Yonggui wanted to lie down on it.

A hint of impatience flickered in Lady Sun’s eyes; she forced a smile and coaxed Wang Yonggui to go take a bath and change his clothes, even hinting that she’d make it up to him later that evening.

That made Wang Yonggui leave with a satisfied smile.

Once outside, he called for Lady Jiang to assist him with his bath and change of clothes.

Lady Jiang had already put the rice on to cook, waiting for it to be done before starting the stir-fry.

Hearing Wang Yonggui’s call, she had no choice but to co out and ask Jinhua to watch the fire with her brothers.

And so she busily attended to Wang Yonggui’s bath.

While enjoying Lady Jiang’s service, Wang Yonggui pinched her waist, “Xiao Lian, do you miss your man?”

Lady Jiang kept her head down, silent.

Wang Yonggui didn’t mind, and grabbing Lady Jiang, he kissed her a few tis, took his liberties for a mont, and then let go.

He saw that tears were streaming down Lady Jiang’s face.

Imdiately irritated, he said, “What are you crying for?

Haven’t I told you already?

My heart is with you and the children only.

As for Lady Sun—” he lowered his voice, “I just want to coax the money out of her hands.

Do you know how much she has?

I reckon it’s nearly a hundred taels.

If we can coax all that into our hands, there will be enough for Jinpan and Jinshao’s wedding and Jinhua’s dowry.”

Lady Jiang choked up and shook her head, “I don’t want it!” And tears fell again.

Wang Yonggui coaxed a couple of tis without success, and without patience, he quickly finished his bath, and while changing his clothes, he instructed, “These next few days, just bear with it, soothe Ahfu a bit more.

She’s new here and doesn’t understand a lot.

Help her out.

When we get the silver, your man will make it up to you properly, hear ?”

After speaking, he stord out.

Lady Jiang was left staring blankly at her husband’s discarded clothes.

By the ti Wang Laozhu ca back from the fields, it was ti for dinner.

Wang Yonggui frowned at the sight of the table, which, aside from a bowl of stir-fried eggs, was devoid of any at dishes.

In these past days at Sun Ahfu’s house, he had enjoyed rich and spicy food, and now, coming back ho to find not even a glimpse of at, his mouth felt unacceptably bland.

Especially when the food was served and Old Granny Zhang clearly placed the eggs in front of her daughter, it was obvious that the eggs were ant for her, and no one else.

Wang Yonggui, who always had thick skin, didn’t wait for others to start eating before he stretched out his chopsticks and snagged a big piece to put in his mouth.

This was his signature move; ever since he was young, he did this to filch Wang Yongzhu’s food, indifferent to Old Granny Zhang’s scolding or slapping, as long as he got his fill.

Resorting to his old tactics now, Old Granny Zhang hit his chopsticks and scolded, “What are you, a ghost starved to death in your past life?

You just got back and you’re already snatching your sister’s eggs?”

He even mumbled a complaint, “Mom, your own son has co back, how co there’s only this one dish with at on the table?”

Normally, whether it was him or that bastard Laosan who ca back, there should at least be so fish or at at ho.

He had also made a contribution this ti, so why was his own mother being so stingy?

Old Granny Zhang quickly pushed the remaining eggs from the bowl into her daughter’s bowl before setting down the empty dish.

As she distributed the mixed rice cooked with sorghum for dinner to everyone, after serving the family, she broke off two pieces of the crusty rice and put them in a dish: “Lady Sun, this is your dinner.”
