These days, on weekends, Hyesung naturally found himself spending ti with Lee Hyuk. When Lee Hyuk was busy with work or had to work late, he usually commuted from his house in Seoul. Otherwise, he almost always headed to Hyesung’s place after work, especially on weekends.

“Still half-asleep?”

Lee Hyuk slowly embraced Hyesung as he groggily rubbed his eyes, just waking up from bed. When Lee Hyuk hugged soone, he never did it lightly. He would hold them tightly without leaving any gaps.

“You’re suffocating .”

“Even with puffy eyes, Hyesung is cute.”

“I’m tired because you keep bothering .”

Hyesung lifted his shirt slightly to check his body. The faint red marks that had barely faded were back again.

“What can I do? The only ti we can be together is on the weekends.”

Lee Hyuk kissed Hyesung’s cheek several tis.

“Go wash up. Let’s eat.”

“Mister, wouldn’t it be better to just get rid of the house next door if you’re not going to use it?”

The redevelopnt project in Haein City was in full swing, and the British hotel contract was nearing completion. Additionally, with the stadium construction in Mapo-gu, Seoul, and securing another contract recently, Lee Hyuk seed to be having very busy days.

As a result, the ti they spent together had significantly decreased compared to before. These days, the only tis they could et were mostly Mondays, when there were fewer etings, and weekends. But even then, sotis Lee Hyuk had to go out for work.

Considering the situation, it would have been more convenient for Lee Hyuk to just settle in Seoul and let go of the house near Hyesung's.

“No way.”

“Why not? You hardly go there anyway. Is it so sort of… waste of money?”

“Hyesung, don’t use such harsh words. Only pretty and kind words, okay?”

Lee Hyuk chuckled.

“It feels like I need that house to have an excuse to co to your place.”

Lee Hyuk scratched his head as he answered honestly.

“Sotis, you think like a fool, mister. You don’t need that house to co over. We’re dating. I could also go to your place.”

Hyesung’s words made Lee Hyuk blink slowly, and then, as if deeply moved, he opened his arms, ready to hug him again.

“How could you say sothing so precious? Huh?”

But Hyesung slipped away before he could catch him. He had a strong feeling that if he got caught in that hug, he would be stuck in bed all morning.

“I’m going to wash up. Let’s eat and then go out.”

“Okay. Oh, Hyesung, by the way, I don’t think I’ll be able to co down tomorrow.”

Hyesung stopped in his tracks on the way to the bathroom. Usually, they t on Mondays unless there was sothing special.

“Are you working late again?”

“No. I have a dinner appointnt.”

At that mont, Hyesung hesitated. He wanted to ask who the dinner was with, but he was worried that it would make him seem like a ddling boyfriend. But he was curious... As Hyesung’s mind engaged in a heated debate, Lee Hyuk approached and kissed him on the forehead.

“I’m just having a drink with Executive Director Choi.”

“Oh, really?”

“Yeah.”

Hyesung’s expression brightened oddly.

“You’re having drinks with Executive Director Choi?”

His curiosity grew even more. Recently, whenever Lee Hyuk ntioned Choi, it wasn’t in the most positive light.

“Didn’t you tell ? I should at least try talking to him first.”

Hyesung tilted his head, not fully understanding.

“Hurry up and go wash.”

“Okay.”

Hyesung and Lee Hyuk headed to Seoul together. Since it was Sunday, they planned to enjoy a date and then go to Lee Hyuk’s place to consider his work schedule for the next day.

Today, they went to the cinema for the first ti together. The movie they were going to watch had beco extrely popular, drawing millions of viewers recently.

“I’ll get so snacks. Wait here.”

“Okay.”

Hyesung watched as Lee Hyuk walked away. His striking appearance naturally drew the attention of people around them. Hyesung realized again that Lee Hyuk wasn’t just attractive to his own eyes.

“Excuse …”

A shadow fell over Hyesung, who was standing absent-mindedly. He slowly lifted his head. A tall man with a bright expression was smiling down at him. He wasn’t as tall as Lee Hyuk, but he was quite tall.

“I’ve been watching you for a while… If it’s not too much trouble, could I have your contact information?”

Hyesung instinctively knew. This man was an Alpha.

“Pardon?”

“It’s just that you’re really my type. So, um…”

It was noisy around them, so Hyesung couldn’t hear him clearly. He unconsciously leaned in closer. Then, the man suddenly covered his nose and frowned.

“What did you just say…?”

“N-Never mind…!”

The man looked embarrassed. It was because he could sense the strong Alpha pheromones surrounding Hyesung.

“Is sothing the matter?”

At that mont, Lee Hyuk returned with popcorn in hand and naturally draped his arm around Hyesung’s shoulders.

“Mister.”

Hyesung looked up at him with a shy smile. The man who had approached them took a step back, intimidated by the threatening Alpha pheromones Lee Hyuk was emitting.

“N-No, it’s nothing. I apologize.”

The man scowled and quickly turned away.

“Why is he slathered in pheromones like that?”

He muttered irritably and walked off in another direction.

“Hyesung.”

“Yes?”

Lee Hyuk suddenly lowered his head and buried his nose in Hyesung’s nape. Startled, Hyesung froze in place.

“W-What are you doing? We’re in public…”

“That guy was an Alpha just now, wasn’t he? I wanted to check if his pheromones rubbed off on you.”

“I only exchanged a couple of words with him, there’s no way pheromones could have rubbed off.”

Though Hyesung’s words were logical, Lee Hyuk’s expression didn’t relax.

“Let’s go in. The movie’s about to start.”

“…Okay.”

Hyesung felt a vague sense of unease as he obediently held Lee Hyuk’s hand.

And, as expected, Hyesung’s unease turned out to be right.

“Aah… Mister, it’s too fast…!”

“Damn it.”

“Aah… ugh…”

“Hyesung, what did that guy say to you? Hm?”

Lee Hyuk bit and sucked on Hyesung’s neck repeatedly. His hand persistently teased his chest.

“I-I don’t know. He just asked for my number… I didn’t hear anything else…!”

It was the third ti he had asked that question.

Lately, Lee Hyuk had been treating Hyesung gently, but today, he was being forceful. The mont they got ho, he didn’t even give Hyesung a chance to wash up before stripping him down.

“Damn it, that’s such an annoying thing to hear, no matter how many tis.”

Lee Hyuk roughly grabbed Hyesung’s neck and bit his lips. Then, as if he was going to devour him, he pushed his tongue in forcefully.

“Aah…”

“They all know you’re beautiful… Damn bastards.”

Lee Hyuk continued to provoke and press Hyesung.

“This makes not want to take you out in public.”

“Haa, Mister… Please, stop…”

Hyesung’s body went limp. The aftermath of the intense night before was taking its toll, and with Lee Hyuk not showing any rcy today, Hyesung soon lost consciousness.

“Ugh… Haa…”

At that mont, Lee Hyuk reached the peak of pleasure. After enjoying the afterglow, he gently laid Hyesung down properly. He softly kissed the lips of the boy who was now fast asleep, breathing quietly.

As his lips moved lower, Lee Hyuk instinctively continued to bite and suck on Hyesung’s neck. He knew it was childish jealousy. He knew it was an immature reaction for soone his age.

But the sight of another Alpha eyeing Hyesung up and down with that dirty gaze, and approaching him, kept igniting a fire inside him.

“Haa.”

Lee Hyuk sighed as he lay down next to Hyesung. The more he saw of Hyesung, the more intense his longing beca.

The next day, Lee Hyuk finished all his work and headed to the address Executive Director Choi had sent him. When Sungjin heard about it earlier, he suggested that he accompany Lee Hyuk, but Lee Hyuk declined.

He checked the last ssage Hyesung had sent. It was from earlier in the day, saying he had returned ho and planned to do so work in the garden.

Was Hyesung avoiding contacting him on purpose, so as not to disturb an important eting? A faint smile appeared on Lee Hyuk’s face.

Then, he looked up at the building in front of him.

“Of all places, why choose a dump like this…?”

When he suggested a personal eting, Executive Director Choi had readily agreed and asked if he could choose the location. Lee Hyuk didn’t mind, so he let him, but he didn’t expect him to choose a place that resembled a seedy bar or club.

As he entered and gave his na, the employee bowed deeply, almost at a ninety-degree angle, and courteously led him inside.

Walking down the corridor, Lee Hyuk glanced around. Strangely, there weren’t many custors. Shouldn’t a place like this be bustling at this hour?

Lee Hyuk didn’t think much of it and followed the employee to the designated room.

“You’ve arrived, CEO.”

Sungjin, who had arrived earlier, smiled and gestured toward the front.

“Thank you for coming.”

Executive Director Choi was already there, seated with a polite smile on his face.

Lee Hyuk nodded slightly in acknowledgnt as he took a seat across from Choi.

“I see you’ve picked an interesting place,” Lee Hyuk remarked, glancing around the dimly lit room.

“Ah, yes. I thought we could use a more private atmosphere to talk,” Choi replied, pouring a drink for Lee Hyuk.

The two n sat across from each other, a tension-filled silence hanging between them as the alcohol was poured. Lee Hyuk took the glass, swirling the contents around before taking a sip.

“What did you want to discuss?” Lee Hyuk asked directly, not one for unnecessary pleasantries.

Choi took a deep breath, his expression serious. “It’s about the recent developnts within the company. I’m sure you’ve noticed the shifts in certain alliances, especially with the new contracts coming in.”

Lee Hyuk’s eyes narrowed. “Get to the point.”

“There are people within Taesung who are becoming… restless,” Choi continued, his voice low. “The success of the redevelopnt project and the stadium construction has drawn attention, and not all of it is positive. There’s talk of opposition forming within the board, especially concerning your leadership style.”

Lee Hyuk’s face remained impassive, but a cold fire flickered in his eyes. “And where do you stand, Choi?”

Choi hesitated for a brief mont before answering, “I’ve always been loyal to Taesung and its best interests. But there are those who think it’s ti for a change, and they’re looking for soone to rally behind.”

“And you?” Lee Hyuk asked, his voice dangerously calm.

Choi t his gaze squarely. “I’m here to warn you, CEO. To stay on top, you’ll need to be more cautious. There are forces within the company that might not be as easily controlled as you think.”

Lee Hyuk set his glass down on the table, the sound echoing in the room. “I appreciate the warning, but don’t mistake this conversation for a sign of weakness. If anyone thinks they can challenge , they’re welco to try. But they’d better be prepared for the consequences.”

Choi swallowed, visibly unsettled by the coldness in Lee Hyuk’s tone. “Of course, CEO. I’m just offering advice.”

Lee Hyuk leaned back in his chair, a faint smile on his lips. “Advice noted. Anything else?”

Choi shook his head. “No, that was all. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the undercurrents.”

“Good,” Lee Hyuk said, standing up. “Then I’ll be on my way.”

Choi quickly stood as well, bowing slightly as Lee Hyuk walked past him toward the door. Sungjin followed closely behind, his expression unreadable.

As they exited the building and stepped into the cool night air, Sungjin finally spoke. “Do you think Choi is serious about the internal unrest?”

Lee Hyuk’s gaze was distant as he replied, “It doesn’t matter. Whether it’s real or just a tactic, I’ll handle it. Anyone who underestimates will learn the hard way.”

Sungjin nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. “I figured as much.”

Lee Hyuk’s phone buzzed in his pocket, breaking the tension. He pulled it out and saw a ssage from Hyesung.

“Finished with the garden work. Thinking of you. Hope everything’s going well.”

A warmth spread through Lee Hyuk’s chest as he read the ssage. For a mont, the cold ruthlessness in his eyes softened.

“Let’s head back,” Lee Hyuk said, slipping his phone back into his pocket.

Sungjin raised an eyebrow. “To Seoul?”

“No,” Lee Hyuk replied with a slight smile. “To Hyesung’s place.”

And with that, they drove off into the night, the shadows of the city falling behind them as Lee Hyuk focused on what mattered most—returning to the person who had brought light into his life.
