Capítulo 530: Chapter 530: Coronation of the Queen (Grand Finale)
Half a year later, in the Eternal City—
“Your Highness, Princess Evelyn has been brought in.”
Lin Fu looked down from her throne with a lazy posture, gazing mockingly and disdainfully at the disheveled woman at the foot of the steps, who wore a suppression ring, as if she were observing a disgusting insect.
“Sister, we et again.”
Her voice was lazy and distinctive, ringing in Evelyn’s ears like a nightmare, causing her whole body to tremble uncontrollably.
“Where could you hide?” Lin Fu stood up, positioning herself on the steps, “You sched so much, only to fail so utterly. If I were you, I would have long since sought death.”
“Ah!” Evelyn could no longer hold back, she let out a high-pitched, agonized shriek, her voice sharp and despairing. She violently stood up, shouting crazily: “Why don’t you go die? My biggest regret in this life is not having killed you directly.”
Even genetic modifications could be reversed; fate was too favorable to her.
She had given so much, even sacrificing the man she loved the most, yet in the end, she fell into her hands, and those damned bastards from the Lost Association had abandoned her.
Lin Fu raised her hand towards Evelyn.
“What are you doing?” Overco with a sense of imnse danger, Evelyn finally realized her fear.
“I won’t be rciful anymore, nor will I make the sa mistake as you.”
Having said this, she twisted her wrist.
There was the sound of a snap.
The delicate neck of Evelyn at the foot of the steps was twisted unnaturally.
She died instantly.
“Bury her with the rites due to a prince!” Lin Fu, with dwindled interest, settled back into her throne.
“Yes!”
This was the veneration upheld by the cklenburg Royal Family; even the defeated received their due respect, and Lin Fu would not break the rules no matter how much she hated Evelyn. Just as after regaining her mory, she did not take her anger out on Randall and Monger, but rather her wrath was aid at Lin Qingfeng and Han Shuang.
“Your Highness.”
Lin Cheng entered the great hall with others, performing a noble salute.
“Uncle!”
Her eyes lowered, “Has the Lost Association been completely eradicated?”
“Yes, not one left.”
“That cancer should have been excised long ago; the most unstable factors within the Galaxy Empire over the past thousand years have all co from within the family.” Her red lips curled into a mocking smile, “Endless infighting, ceaseless struggle, division.”
“Your Highness, have you recalled everything?” Lin Cheng felt that the current Your Highness was unlike before, and also distinct from Lin Fu’s ti; he could no longer fathom her thoughts.
Half a year ago, she had suddenly returned, locked herself in her room for a month, and when she erged, she was the person before him.
Her mind was enigmatic, she had decisively refused Major General Fu Xing’s many requests for a eting, focusing solely on eliminating the Lost Association.
“Yes!” Lin Fu looked at her beautiful nails, “Uncle, proclaim to the entire universe, the Eternal City is now independent.”
Lin Cheng was taken aback before his mouth curved up into a gratified smile.
He was very pleased.
Your Highness had made the most mature decision.
“I didn’t return to seize the Imperial Throne, nor to avenge my father; does that disappoint you?” Her eyes showed a hint of sadness.
“No.” Lin Cheng shook his head, “The Galaxy Empire has long been rotten, the throne has long been stained with blood, it is no longer worthy of you. Your father was a wise man; he never wanted you to return to contest the Imperial Throne. The repeated internal strife of the cklenburg Family has drained the blood of the Empire’s citizens dry, it’s ti for it to end.”
“Yes.”
Lin Fu descended slowly from the throne, approaching Lin Cheng, the cold, frosty, and breathtakingly beautiful face revealed a faint smile unique to Lin Fu.
“Perhaps I should thank Princess Evelyn,” she mused. “If it weren’t for the gene modification, I might have remained caught in the abyss of revenge forever.” The gene modification had made her forget everything, turning her back into her forr self, looking at problems from the perspective of an ordinary person once again.
She detested war, hated the unnecessary sacrifices made in the struggle for power.
Using the Empire’s finest warriors for internal strife filled her with sha.
“What about Fu Xing then?” Lin Cheng asked with a mischievous wink. “Can you forgive him?”
“He didn’t allow to regain my mory, not just because of my physical condition, but also because he feared my revenge, right?” This thought had beco a thorn in her heart, an obstacle she couldn’t get over.
“After all, he is the Duke of Empire, the Supre Commander of the Eighth Fleet,” Lin Cheng shrugged. “He made the right choice. Had he not done so, that would have been a dereliction of duty.”
“In the end, he still chose his duty.” Lin Fu looked down, hiding her disappointnt.
“But he gave his heart to you. Believe , he really loves you. This ti, he fully supported the independence of Eternal City, defending your honor with all his might and pledging his loyalty.”
Lin Fu cast her eyes down, “I don’t know, my heart is in turmoil.”
She had spent every day and night of the past six months in tornt, torn between Lin Fu and Queen Freya, a ss of conflicted emotions. Sotis she desperately wanted to throw caution to the wind and run to him, to leap into his embrace.
Sotis she was angry at his actions, unable to let go of Queen Freya’s pride.
The struggle and hesitation ti after ti were anything but pleasant.
The longer the tornt of missing him lasted, the more intense it beca.
Lin Cheng left quietly.
“Ah Foo!” A hoarse voice called out.
Fu Xing, dressed in traditional noble attire that accentuated his striking features, stood at the bottom of the stairs, gazing at her with deep affection.
“How are your injuries?” She only realized how harsh she had been after calming down, and to say she didn’t regret it would be a lie.
“The injuries have healed, but the one in my heart is still waiting for you to nd it.” He spread his arms, looking at her with eyes full of hope.
Lin Fu couldn’t control herself any longer and ran down to him, throwing herself into his arms.
The two held each other tightly.
“You jerk, to think you bullied …” Lin Fu couldn’t help crying, yet her words held a teasing tone.
Fu Xing, his heart gone soft, hugged her tight, the sweet relief of having her back making him unwilling to let go for even a second.
He was afraid she might never forgive him.
Even more, he feared his Ah Foo no longer cared for him.
Not for a mont in the past six months had he stopped thinking of her.
…
A month later, Eternal City declared its independence, and Princess Frey cklenburg was crowned the founding Queen of Eternal City.
Lin Cheng was honored as the founding Marquis and took the position of Pri Minister.
At the sa ti, Duke Fuxing presented the Immolus Star System to Queen Freya, pledging his loyalty to Eternal City.
The news sent shockwaves through the Three Major Cosmic Governnts.
At the sa ti, three of the Seven Guardian Dukes declared their independence, breaking away from the Galaxy Empire.
For a while, His Majesty Xiusi’s Imperial Throne was in a state of turmoil, but all of that no longer had anything to do with Lin Fu.
With the inclusion of the Immolus Star System, Eternal City leaped to beco the fourth major power in the universe.
And Lin Fu beca the most powerful woman in the cosmos.
