Capítulo 508: Chapter 508: The Lost Emotions

“We have too many secrets between us; we don’t even resemble a family.” After he said that, Lin Fu also realized it, and a thought flashed through her mind, “Why don’t we play a ga of truth?”

Fu Xing, a person from the interstellar era, had no idea what a ga of truth was until he heard Lin Fu’s explanation and imdiately agreed to it.

After returning to Count Ingrid’s Mansion, Fu Xing got straight to the point, leaving all the work to others as he sat leisurely to the side, either checking his personal terminal or gazing out at the scenery. Lin Fu was busy handling affairs in the living room, and there was indeed an air of a husband accompanying his busy wife.

“Your Highness,” Lin Qingfeng glanced at Fu Xing, who was sitting not far away.

“Speak your mind, there’s no need to hide anything from him.”

Both of them had already spoken on the flying car, and they agreed to trust each other. If a husband and wife couldn’t trust each other and still needed to guard against one another, then there was no point in continuing the marriage.

“Princess Evelyn, she found and has requested to et with you.”

“It’s my sister!” Lin Fu propped her head on her hand, her mind unconsciously sinking into past mories, feeling sowhat wistful for a mont.

Seeing her like this, Lin Qingfeng worried that the young Highness would go soft. Over the years, the Highness had shed her naive nature, but it was only towards Princess Evelyn that she repeatedly showed leniency, not knowing how much advantage Evelyn had taken of that.

The sisters were both clearly recognized by Joseph IV as the Crown Princess, and now that Evelyn wanted to seize power and beco the decision-maker, the Highness had stepped aside, even keeping a low profile for this purpose, never being ostentatious in the past decade.

Even the title of Empress Fu in the Eternal City was a nickna forcefully given by the people of Lin Cheng because they adored their niece.

If it hadn’t been for the Highness’s outright refusal to heed the call and join the Lost Association back then, Evelyn wouldn’t have beco the core figure raised by the Lost Association.

Over the years, Lin Qingfeng had watched Evelyn manipulate the Highness under the guise of sisterly affection.

Unfortunately, the Highness valued familial ties too much.

“Your Highness, you can’t go soft this ti. Although we overlooked your gene modification surgery, Princess Evelyn’s sches against you are very real.”

“I know.”

“So, what are you thinking? Will you et with her? She saw your battle video with Clive on Helheim Star and should be suspicious of you, likely guessing that you’ve recovered your mory. She surely has a probing purpose now.”

“My sister…”

Lin Fu rubbed her temples, feeling bewildered, while Fu Xing, sitting not far away, frowned slightly but did not interfere too much.

“What is it, Your Highness?”

“I find it incredible,” Lin Fu said in astonishnt, “How could I have been so indulgent with Evelyn before?” She recalled her previous mories and realized she had indeed cared deeply for her sister, enduring her sches, yet still accommodating her at every turn.

Just like now, as long as Evelyn wanted to et her, she would drop everything and go to her imdiately.

Lin Qingfeng resisted the urge to roll his eyes, “You finally understand, Your Highness.”

“Refuse her,” Lin Fu said decisively.

“Really?”

“Really.”

Lin Fu realized sothing; even though she had recovered her mories, so feelings had vanished, like the care and guilt-driven compunction she once had for her sister Evelyn.

The reason she had been so tolerant before was that Evelyn was her biological sister and because, during the coup ten years ago, it was to save her from the enemy’s hands that her father had died.
