The Major General, not yet thirty years old, had spearheaded such a perilous struggle for the Imperial Throne and erged as the ultimate victor. Everyone was well aware that the position of Imperial Marshal was inevitably Fu Xing’s for the taking, opting not to assu it just yet was simply his way of keeping a low profile.

After all, at his age, being a Major General Commander was already the youngest on record, to beco Marshal would be utterly shocking.

Murphy had not been close to Fu Xing before, although he had studied him to understand an opponent, the deepest impression was that he was a genius Commander, interpreting war as an art form to its utmost. His other impressions were not so favorable.

However, after this incident, Murphy realized he had been mistaken.

Fu Xing’s greatest skill was not commanding in battle but rather in political manipulation and strategic maneuvering.

He was not yet thirty yet cunning as if he were three hundred.

Joseph V had a significant chance of success, yet he still ended in failure, the figure operating behind the scenes throughout was none other than Fu Xing.

Perhaps recognizing Murphy’s scrutinizing gaze, Fu Xing put down his personal terminal, glanced coldly at Murphy, and cut to the chase, "Join ! Without , you won’t survive."

"Pff..." Murphy, just about to drink water, nearly spat it out, "You... you speak so bluntly?"

"To you, I can afford to be direct," said Fu Xing, his exceptionally handso face betraying little emotion, but his determination to conquer Murphy was imnse, "The Cabinet has no room for you, and the Royal Family, for the sake of Joseph V’s dignity, cannot self-contradict. Joining is your best choice."

"Can’t I join another Noble?"

"Of course," Fu Xing said with his hands clasped in front of him, "but those strong enough to protect you might not appreciate you, and those who appreciate you might not have strength." As he spoke, he suddenly smiled, a mocking curve lifting his thin lips.

"Do you think you have the chance to refuse? Do you think you can leave here alive?"

Murphy dropped his cynical facade, stating seriously, "I’ve said before, the Nobles’ power is too strong, you have already broken the Empire’s balance, you have beco the cancer of the Empire."

"It was Joseph V who dug his own grave by instigating the discord between the Royal Family and the Nobles, yet he was incapable of cleaning up the ss," Fu Xing’s eyes suddenly sharpened, "As for the cancer you ntioned, are you sure?"

He asked with a smile that was not quite a smile, "Without us, would the Galaxy Empire still be the Galaxy Empire? Could you still sit here securely blaming us?"

Murphy choked, rendered speechless.

"But now the situation is unbalanced and chaos will inevitably arise."

"Then we should replace him with an Emperor who won’t cause chaos."

Fu Xing’s words made Murphy jump up, his eyes wide with horror.

"What? Is it so strange? Your Cabinet Ministers assist Theresa to contend for the Imperial Throne, but I can’t change the Emperor?"

Murphy was genuinely frightened by Fu Xing’s words, his back soaked in a cold sweat. How had he managed to say such shocking words with such a nonchalant tone?

"We only assist and support, we cannot arbitrarily depose," Murphy said self-mockingly.

"Enough about that, make your decision now!"

Fu Xing had no desire to waste further ti with him.

"Can’t you give so ti to consider? Where’s your courtesy?"

"None."

Murphy also realized, Fu Xing truly had little patience for probing; fearing to further provoke this young Duke who might genuinely throw him off the flagship, he wisely agreed.
