"He’s still out rescuing students."
Now, only Nolan could safely and freely move outside. Those with Divine-level chas had either disappeared or were captured. Nolan was the sole survivor, thanks largely to the tactics previously arranged that put him in charge of the rear.
When the battle broke out, Lin Fu was at the forefront, drawing all the enemy’s firepower, which inadvertently caused Nolan to be overlooked. With his Divine-level cha, he easily overwheld many adversaries and perfectly executed the rear guard mission.
Ye Fei called for Nolan on the school’s channel, received his response, asked for the exact coordinates, and inford Horace.
"You’re looking for Nolan because?"
"I need a spaceship, but Clive destroyed the underground base when he left, making the reserves unusable. The Divine-level cha can fly out of the atmosphere. It’s no problem for it to travel in space for a while."
"You an to attack the warship stationed outside Helheim Star’s atmosphere by the organizers of the Newcors Competition?"
"Exactly. What do you think? Are you courageous enough to pull off a big heist?"
"Let’s do it."
"There’s no reason to hesitate."
So many of them had died, yet the warship of the organizers remained indifferent and even dropped equipnt for the prisoners, making them even more contemptible in the students’ eyes.
Then, before they could take action, a battle erupted outside the atmosphere.
Standing inside the small spaceport, they could clearly track the battle process.
A warship, very special in design and resembling a castle, easily took control and assud command of the organizers’ warship.
It took under ten minutes.
"That’s the symbol of the Eternal City."
As a major thorn in the side of the Empire, there was no soldier or reservist who didn’t recognize that emblem.
"How did the Eternal City get involved too?"
The students were confused by one event after another. The battle was over, and now it seed everyone, alive or dead, had shown up. Given the relationship between the Eternal City and the Empire, falling into their hands would surely have dire consequences.
The most likely outco was becoming prisoners of war.
For the proud Military Academy Students, dying would be preferable, as it would at least bring glory to their families.
"Prepare, they’re starting to land."
"Wait!" Horace imdiately intervened. "There’s more."
Indeed, another group of warships appeared on the surveillance screen. It was... the Eighth Fleet.
"Fantastic, it’s the Eighth Universe Fleet."
"We’re saved."
"We can finally go ho now."
Everyone couldn’t help but cheer, knowing the combat strength of the Eighth Fleet and Major General Fu Xing’s capabilities, the Eternal City couldn’t stand up to them. The castle-designed warship lingered only briefly before initiating a warp jump and departing.
The students were even more ecstatic.
Only Horace, who fell to the ground with a heavy thud, his face ashen.
He was done for; he was as good as dead.
The Major General had personally co to fetch the Lady, but he had lost her.
...
Lin Fu didn’t know how long she had slept; it felt like an eternity, so long that her bones seed to be rusting. Straining her eyes open, she was t with an unfamiliar ceiling, and the brightness stung her eyes.
She instinctively touched her chest; the Blue Star was gone!
Lin Fu abruptly sat up, her vision darkening montarily, and it took a while for the dizziness to subside. She looked around frantically but couldn’t find the Purple Moon.
Cold sweat covered her forehead instantly.
"Click!"
The automatic door opened, and a black-haired man walked in. Lin Fu recognized him; he was the one who had stood by, arms crossed, watching while she fought the silver-haired man.
