"Which military academy?"
"Fengye Military Academy."
"My family is from Feng Lin."
"I see." Fu Xing was not surprised at all; he glanced at the others and had already understood the situation very clearly.
The conspiracy had been laid before he married Ah Foo, who rely stumbled into it halfway.
Without Ah Foo, there would certainly have been soone else from the Fu Family.
More and more people gathered around Fu Xing, and although not all of them were in the military, each one had a face very familiar to everyone, with a status on Capital Star that could be described as either wealthy or noble.
Absolutely noble celebrities.
Staff from the Military Departnt and officers who ca here on business cast curious glances.
"Fu Xing, over here."
Joshua was also accompanied by a group of people coming from another direction, eting Fu Xing in the hall.
"It seems you were also summoned for the eting."
Fu Xing nodded, "It’s the sa for everyone."
Joshua, winking, whispered, "I didn’t want to co, but the Marshal ordered it, and I had to obey." After scanning the surrounding people, he added, "With so many people demanding results from the Military Departnt, the Marshal isn’t having an easy ti either!"
"All of us were played, and none of us is having an easy ti."
The two did not discuss more, just as the Marshal’s personal adjutant also ca forward to greet them and, after saluting, led the way.
The Military Departnt had many conference rooms, each with different functions and open to different people, but the room used today was rarely opened by the departnt.
That was Bauhinia Hall, reserved exclusively for top nobles.
This conference room existed since the founding of the Empire and was the most frequently used during the early years when the military was almost entirely composed of nobles, or those who were not nobles but were granted titles and lands for their services in the early days of the nation’s founding.
Many criticized the nobles on the Star Network as parasites of the Empire, causing it to beco corrupt, forgetting that the country itself was established by nobles.
It was their ancestors who sacrificed their lives and blood for the Empire and humanity’s survival.
The genealogy of the top nobles of the Galaxy Empire was like half the history of human interstellar civilization.
However, as the Empire developed, so nobles declined, so disappeared into the annals of history, and Violet Hall was seldom used. But this tradition was preserved, and despite several expansions and renovations, the Military Departnt had never altered this hall.
"To think they’ve brought out this antique," Joshua muttered under his breath.
The grand conference hall opened, and the people entered in single file, sitting down in front of their respective na tags, and atop the Marshal’s seat sat an elderly man with a full head of silver hair. Although aged, his figure was still imposing, and his deanor even more majestic.
Sitting there at the head, he gave off a mountain-like sense of solidity.
Everyone who ca in saluted quietly to him, then took their seats.
Only the Imperial Marshal could exert such a deterrent effect to subdue everyone.
Soon, the seats were filled, and the conference hall doors were closed.
The Marshal’s adjutant activated the display screen, showing images from Helheim Star, marking the photos and locations of 372 noble heirs on Helheim Star, along with their vital signs.
Listed at the top were Xia Huangyu and Lin Fu, followed by Nolan and others.
Those present said nothing, all watching with inscrutable eyes, silent even in contrast to the noise in the hall; Fu Xing and others just watched, focusing on the Marshal.
