"Miss Celia of the Grilward family, your classmate at the Land War Academy."
"Celia? What does she want?"
rvin had no particular relationship with Celia; they were just ordinary classmates at school and even had so conflicts.
Celia had also competed against him for Lin Fu.
"Forget it, have her wait for in the small receiving room."
"Yes!"
rvin’s injuries were more serious; unlike Celia, who could already hop energetically about, he wheeled himself into the small receiving room and imdiately noticed upon seeing Celia that she had changed.
Her entire aura was different.
"What do you need from in the middle of the night?"
Celia glanced at the open door, and only after rvin waved his hand did the housekeeper robot retreat and close the door.
Celia, still distrustful, activated a protective barrier to eliminate any possibility of eavesdropping.
rvin coolly observed her actions and remained silent until she finished, then impatiently urged, "If you have sothing to say, say it quickly. I don’t have much patience."
Lately, his mood had been terrible. At a ti when Lin Fu and the school needed him most, he was absent.
The guilt and self-reproach tornted him incessantly, and now, seeing that Celia’s injuries had healed and that she hadn’t returned to school to compete, his impression of her worsened even further.
"I’m here to form an alliance with you."
"Go on."
"I need to secure the position of Duke of Grihuade and require the support of allies. I think we share common goals, and we could beco very good allies."
rvin raised an eyebrow in surprise, no wonder he had detected a strong scent of blood upon entering.
Among the younger generation of the Seven Guardian Families, except for Fu Xing, who had to inherit his family’s mantle early under special circumstances, it was universally acknowledged that Lance would be the first to ascend. Celia seed too diocre; virtually any young mber of a Guardian Family outshone her.
Yet, unexpectedly, the most ruthless turned out to be the one most overlooked.
rvin quickly suppressed his inner shock, feigning composure as he inquired, "Oh? What common interests might we have that could persuade to take such a great risk to support soone with no foundation at all?"
Celia’s eyes held a complex look, and after a long pause, she uttered that na: "Lin Fu!"
In an instant, rvin’s body tensed, his fists clenched tightly, and a red glow radiated from his body as liquid tal began to spread upwards from his legs.
"Just for those two words, I would kill you."
rvin’s murderous intent was palpable, his presence imposing imnse psychological pressure. However, his reaction was exactly what Celia had hoped to see.
It confird that her guess wasn’t wrong.
A woman’s intuition indeed was accurate.
"Celia, you’ve crossed my line. I won’t let you leave here alive," rvin had already resolved to kill.
He wasn’t afraid of his most secret inner thoughts being discovered, but he feared any harm coming to Lin Fu because of him.
Anyone who dared to use Lin Fu as a threat against him, even in the slightest, would be rcilessly sent straight to hell.
"Wait! I’m not threatening you. I’m the sa as you."
Celia hurriedly yelled, watching as the ion beam grazed past her neck, causing all the hairs on her body to stand on end.
rvin toyed with the small ion pistol in his hand, his gaze hostile as he looked at Celia, "You’re the sa as ? That’s not funny at all; it only makes angrier. It’s pathetic enough that I covet soone else’s treasure, and now you co coveting my treasure. Do you want to die?"
The four words, "Do you want to die", were spoken with a chilling coldness that made one shudder.
