Chapter 234: Chapter 234: Fu Xing, How Did You Get Here?
The argunt on the school’s internal network; they obviously knew about the sar campaign against them, but so much had happened today that they simply didn’t feel like dealing with such childish gas.
Now that the person involved had appeared before them, it was a different story.
“I’m sorry for intruding,”
He Shu, like a frightened rabbit, scurried away, but the further she ran, the more she realized she couldn’t just leave it like this. She hadn’t completed the task Xia Youyou had given her and she would get dragged into this ss too.
Outside the courtyard gate, He Shu stopped in her tracks, clenched her teeth in frustration, determinedly turned around, and went back.
She crept back to the door, rubbed her eyes, and tears quickly surged forth, crying in utter despair and sorrow.
Then, she activated the cara function, filming herself running with tears streaming down her face from Dorm 2277 back to Tang Xuefei’s dorm.
Task successfully completed.
In the living room, Ji Xiu stood on the balcony, clearly observing He Shu’s every little action and making sure to record it on her personal terminal.
Those in the living room didn’t take He Shu’s ruse seriously and continued their previous conversation.
“Lin Fu, you said you beat Instructor Omnia? When did that happen?”
“You never told us about the training content before, what’s really going on?”
“It was the school’s instruction to keep it a secret, probably to prevent anyone from pulling any tricks behind the scenes.” Lin Fu ordinarily wouldn’t have ntioned it, but everyone was so concerned; it would have been wrong for her to keep it quiet.
“You all need to keep this a secret!”
“Understood, don’t worry!”
Xu Jinglan, who had been quietly listening, also nodded seriously.
“So the school is confident, then?” Ivan didn’t ask for details, instead catching onto the crux of the matter. He believed the school, with its comprehensive evaluations, must be quite aware. Since the school wasn’t panicking, that implied they were prepared.
“Alright, I get it, you don’t need to answer,” Ivan said, patting Lin Fu’s shoulder. “Get so rest; we’ll be leaving now.”
“Wait!”
Lin Fu took the seasonings Xu Jinglan had packed and handed them over, “This is from the Gourt Restaurant, from my dinner tonight. The chef sent it over, and it includes the very expensive coriander powder!”
“Coriander powder? Where?”
At the ntion of coriander powder, Ji Xiu couldn’t contain his excitent, jumping up, snatching it before even opening it, and slling the unique fragrance. “Mmm~ This is the flavor of gourt food; this is the taste of money. Lin Fu, you’re definitely a friend worth keeping.”
“You can’t even walk straight when it cos to food,” soone teased.
“Fatty, it’s ti to go on a diet,” another joked.
The others burst into a mixture of mockery and laughter.

After sending Ivan and the others away, Lin Fu, having taken a shower, lay in bed. After spending over two months sleeping in a hammock, she now found herself lying in a spacious and soft bed quite unable to get comfortable.
Tossing and turning, sleep eluded her.
As she thought back on Ivan’s words, her Light Computer suddenly lit up.
Glancing at the na Fu Xing displayed, she hurriedly scrambled to calm herself, then, trying to appear nonchalant, she answered.
The room, previously dim with only moonlight spilling through the window, suddenly brightened as Fu Xing’s figure flashed into view with a burst of light.
Lin Fu was stunned, incredulously rubbing her eyes.
“Fu Xing? How… how did you get here?”
Fu Xing, wearing only a long, comfortable robe, his handso face showing signs of surprise, then patiently explained, “I’m still at the Laniakea Battlefield. The strategic objectives have been achieved, and now we’re entering the mopping-up and negotiation phase. I haven’t returned to Capital Star and certainly haven’t been able to see you.”
