Chapter 130: Chapter 130 Congratulations, You’re Famous Too Chapter 130: Chapter 130 Congratulations, You’re Famous Too Xu Jinglan looked at her as if she were an idiot, “So to show your sincerity you’re inviting soone to go to a brothel with you?”

“Isn’t one of the three great acts of friendship exactly that?” Ye Fei declared self-righteously.

“Besides, dining out and shopping don’t cost much, and traveling requires too much ti, which we don’t have right now. Only by spending money on Wushan Flower City can it truly pain my heart, and only with a pained heart can I prove my sincerity.”

Xu Jinglan was speechless but knew Ye Fei’s personality too well and that refusing would only lead to persistent annoyance, so she reluctantly agreed.

She expressed her willingness to try, although whether Lin Fu would agree was another matter.

“Hmm?”

While they were talking, Xu Jinglan’s Light Computer had been on, and though she hadn’t paid it much attention at first, her gaze inadvertently swept across it and caught the news of the academy’s great battle, leaving her utterly shocked.

Ye Fei noticed and laughed maliciously, “Congratulations, you’re famous now, and you’ve even earned the title of ‘a beauty bringing disaster.’ Apparently, on Ancient Earth, such a title was an honor only granted to unmatched beauties.”

Xu Jinglan wasn’t in the least amused, “Didn’t anyone stop it?”

“Who would dare? It’s already good enough if they don’t roll up their sleeves and join the fray,” Ye Fei saw her troubled expression and consoled her, “Don’t worry, I’ve already checked. Teachers fighting is quite normal at Elbert, so there’s no need for concern.”

Xu Jinglan was stunned and then finally said, “Every ti I think the school has loosened its reins enough, it always manages to break new ground.”

“Don’t you like such a school?” Ye Fei asked cheerfully.

Xu Jinglan hesitated, finding it hard to say she didn’t like it. Still worried, she contacted her own teacher, only to find the usually strict and rigid instructor didn’t have ti for her. Telling her to rest up and ending the call hastily, claiming to be busy.

But the ambient noise that trickled through gave away what “busy” really ant.

Xu Jinglan was left speechless for a long mont.

“By the way, how’s Lin Fu? Was she thrown into solitary confinent again?”

Unfortunately, Ye Fei didn’t know, as she had been here all along without any signal from Lin Fu’s Light Computer.

Xu Jinglan did have Lin Fu’s contact and was about to reach out when the hospital room door was silently pushed open by a middle-aged woman wearing a grim expression, walking in without a hint of emotion.

She looked down at Xu Jinglan on the hospital bed with a mix of coldness and hatred in her eyes that sent chills down the spine.

“Who are you?” Ye Fei stood protectively in front.

“Don’t be afraid,” the middle-aged woman said languidly, her lips painted dark red curling into a sarcastic smile, “I won’t do anything to you, and besides, this is the Military Academy, and you are students, who could do anything to you here!”

Her words might have sounded reassuring, but they left an uncomfortable feeling.

Xu Jinglan calmly pushed Ye Fei, who was blocking her view, to the side and faced the middle-aged woman fearlessly, asking composedly, “Are you Xia Youyou’s mother? Has she been utterly ruined, causing those backing her to lose patience at last?”

The air of superiority the middle-aged woman had tried to maintain evaporated instantly.

Xu Jinglan’s sharpness and courage had caught her off guard.

The woman’s face twisted with anger, but fortunately, her composure was far deeper than Xia Youyou’s, and she regained her calm quickly, pretending to be unfazed as she said, “What’s the point of arguing with a child who hasn’t weathered any storms? We still have a long future ahead.”

“I hope you grow strong and thrive.”
