Chapter 54: Chapter 54: Yang Dachuan Gets Scolded as a Cripple.
Thinking about it, that made sense.
"Dad, let
cut the grass, and when it’s evening, we’ll go to Grandpa Land Officer’s house to buy the land first." As she said this, she picked up the sickle and started swinging. Fortunately, she had gotten so silver from Old Lady Hua a few days ago, which was enough to buy an acre of wasteland.
"Alright!"
Seeing her holding the sickle steady and cutting the grass with power, Yang Dachuan didn’t try to compete with her. Instead, he waited for her to cut a pile of grass, then moved it aside. After she had cut down a larger area of grass, Yang Dachuan picked up the hoe and started digging.
A father and daughter cutting grass and digging a patch of land, they managed to clear a large area by the end of the afternoon.
"Dad, the sun is setting, let’s go ho."
Yang Dachuan saw that the sun was still hanging high, so he said, "Girl, you go back first, and I’ll dig a little more."
"Never mind, I’ll just go back with you."
She didn’t feel comfortable leaving her father alone at the foot of West Mountain, with the overgrown wild grass. Who knew what could be hidden inside?

But, as they approached the village, they noticed a group of people fighting, with two individuals struggling against one another.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be three young n fighting.
"You cripple, you dared to hit my brother? Watch
kill you!" shouted a burly young man.
"Hmph, let’s see who hits who."
"Bro, let’s team up on him and beat him to death."
"Alright."
As the two brothers rushed at the other young man, the fight escalated, with fists flying back and forth. Yang Chuxia noticed how vicious the young n were, each punch thrown with the intent to hurt.
Seeing the situation, Yang Dachuan was shocked, "It’s Brother An!"
"Dad, do you know them?"
"Ziping, Ziyong, let go of Brother An! We are all family!" Yang Dachuan said, wanting to step in and separate the trio.
But one of the young n pushed him away. Seeing that Yang Dachuan was the one trying to intervene, he sneered, "It’s you, the useless man. Mind your own business, or I’ll have my aunt co and finish you off!"
Yang Dachuan was taken aback by these words but didn’t get angry. Instead, he tried to step forward to pull them apart again.
Just because Yang Dachuan wasn’t angry didn’t an Yang Chuxia would let it slide.
"Damn it, who are you calling a cripple? I’ll slap you to death, believe it or not." Yang Chuxia picked up a tree branch from the ground and, without worrying about where to hit, started attacking the young man.
By sheer luck, she hit the back of the young man’s hand, causing a red welt to appear.
"Ouch!" The young man saw that it was Yang Chuxia and beca furious. "You stinking girl, how dare you hit ?" He couldn’t believe his eyes. This girl used to avoid them whenever she saw the brothers, but today she seed emboldened.
"I’m warning you, just because you have your useless father with you doesn’t an I won’t beat you up. If your dad dares to fight , I’ll go straight to my aunt afterwards! Hmph!"
So arrogant, and he even dared to call her father useless?
"Hmph, I don’t care about your aunt or whoever! This aunt will teach you a lesson today!"
With that, she disregarded the tree branch, switched to the other end of the hoe, and began fighting the young man.
"Xiaxia, Xiaxia, be careful!" Yang Dachuan knew how fierce his daughter could be, but the young man was older, and he was worried she’d be at a disadvantage. As it was a children’s fight, he shouldn’t interfere, so he followed her closely, which ironically restrained her movents more.
