Qin Yan gently rubbed Qin Yinyin’s head and whispered, "Mm."

"Why hasn’t Dad co back yet?"

"He went to park the car. Mommy is here with Yinyin. You should sleep first."

Qin Yinyin obediently nodded her head.

Qin Yan sat by the bedside, lifted her head, and stared at the IV drip. Drop by drop, it slowly entered Qin Yinyin’s body.

Running a fever, Qin Yinyin was not in good spirits and soon fell back asleep.

Qin Yan lifted the quilt and checked Qin Yinyin’s wound again. Once she confird there wasn’t any issue, she finally relaxed and smiled a bit.

...

When Bo Yunshen arrived at Xing Yue Bay, half an hour had already passed.

It was very late. At the entrance to Xing Yue Bay, only a solitary street lamp was left, casting a dim light.

Bo Yunshen got out of the car, and a warm breeze swept by, rustling the tree shadows.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a key, his eyes flickering.

Last ti, he had deceived Qin Yan; he hadn’t returned the key. In reality, he treasured the key to Xing Yue Bay.

Qin Yan had built a wall within her heart that he could not break through, no matter what.

The old man had been won over by Qin Yan. If he had to fight for custody with Qin Yan, he wouldn’t side with him. Whether he could obtain custody was still uncertain!

Bo Yunshen gathered his thoughts and went directly to the doorway. The tree shadows were dim, and as he looked at the ground, his own shadow—which belonged to him but was indistinct—made his heart feel as though it were being scorched in a raging fire.

He first put the key away, then raised his hand to knock on the door, but there wasn’t a sound from inside.

Bo Yunshen hesitated for a mont, waited for a long ti, and only then used the key to enter.

He instinctively turned on the lights and lowered his head to change shoes. Qin Yan’s slippers were neatly placed at the entrance.

Bo Yunshen paused.

Qin Yan wasn’t ho?

He frowned and opened the shoe cabinet’s door. He didn’t know much about Qin Yan’s shoes, but yesterday—or rather the day before at the manor—Qin Yan wore a pair of high heels that left a deep impression on him.

But obviously, that pair of shoes wasn’t in the cabinet.

Bo Yunshen took a deep breath and stepped inside.

A snow-white sun-protective jacket was draped over the sofa, and on the coffee table sat an opened can of beer, which Bo Yunshen picked up to find empty.

Beside the beer can was an unopened cup of instant noodles.

It seed that Qin Yan only drank a can of beer last night and didn’t eat anything.

Bo Yunshen wasn’t sure what was wrong with him; he turned around to push open the door to Qin Yan’s bedroom.

The bed was a bit ssy, but the light from outside seeped in, allowing Bo Yunshen to see clearly that Qin Yan wasn’t there.

Bo Yunshen didn’t go in but instead circled around to the study.

He turned on the lights, and the bookshelves were lined with books. One laptop was on the desk, and as Bo Yunshen approached, he saw a docunt on the desk.

It was a divorce agreent.

Seeing these five words made Bo Yunshen’s heart tighten.

He picked it up.

Thin sheets of paper, remarkably similar to the one Qin Yan gave him to sign.

The only difference was the date—three years ago.

Qin Yan had signed her na.

Over ti, the na seed to etch into the paper.

Bo Yunshen was gripped tightly by the words "Qin Yan."

Qin Yan didn’t want shares or a single penny from the Bo Family. Bo Yunshen never believed it, and he still didn’t quite believe it, even a second before.

If it was all out of love, Bo Yunshen felt that what he did three years ago was enough for Qin Yan to suffer and let go.

The world is full of outstanding people; Bo Yunshen never thought he was particularly special and never truly believed Qin Yan’s lies.

She was too smart. So apart from when he was being narcissistic, Bo Yunshen wouldn’t truly believe Qin Yan’s supposed feelings. The rest of the ti, he was extrely rational.

Extrely rationally clear that Qin Yan married him for everything the Bo Family had to offer.

Bo Yunshen’s fingertip traced the line.

After the divorce, the custody of the child of both parties would belong to Party A.

Party A was him.

Three years ago, Qin Yan wanted to divorce to give Qin Yinyin to him.

Standing in the study, Bo Yunshen recalled what he was doing when Qin Yan signed that divorce agreent three years ago.

At that ti, he resented Qin Yan for shattering his love in a few words. Without Manman, he was frantically seeking distraction in dissolute bars, attempting to change Qin Yan’s mind.

Bo Yunshen suddenly laughed.

If three years ago, he had conducted himself more reliably, maybe by now, he would have married Manman, with a lovely wife and daughter by his side.

Honestly, this divorce agreent considered everyone except Qin Yan herself, it seed.

Bo Yunshen felt a tightness in his chest.

Qin Yan really was selflessly giving.

He suddenly began to hate, hate Qin Yan. If she was so selfless, why create such a grand wedding?

If he hadn’t done these things, he wouldn’t have hated her. If it was for Yinyin’s sake, why couldn’t Qin Yan choose a gentler approach?

She was smart enough to have many ways to let him know Yinyin was his child.

This all-or-nothing thod was undoubtedly the stupidest one!

Bo Yunshen sat in the study’s chair.

He waited in the study for a long ti. Qin Yan never ca back.

Bo Yunshen realized she probably wouldn’t return.

Her mind was set on divorce; there was no telling what tricks she might pull next.

Would she end up like him, frequenting bars, drumming up scandals with different n to force his hand?

As soon as Bo Yunshen thought of Qin Yan on another man’s arm, coy and demure, letting him take everything from her, he nearly suffocated.

He touched his chest, feeling empty as if a great rift had torn through it.

Bitterly cold wind swept inside, chilling him with a panic.

Bo Yunshen’s fingertips trembled slightly as he picked up his phone, calling Xu Lin.

At four in the morning, if there were any major news, the paparazzi would have already started taking action.

The phone connected: "Check online to see if there’s any news about the madam."

Madam?

"Madam? Mr. Bo, you an your mother?"

Xu Lin asked cautiously, and Bo Yunshen choked.

If it hadn’t been Xu Lin’s voice, Bo Yunshen would have suspected the person on the line was intentionally provoking him.

ntioning the madam.

No one thinks of Qin Yan. Bo Yunshen squinted his eyes.

If he wanted to play the sympathy card, he probably would’ve been beaten to death by the old man long ago!

"I ant my wife, Qin Yan!"

Xu Lin was even more confused. He asked in so surprise, "Mr. Bo, isn’t Mr. Qin negotiating a divorce with you?"

Bo Yunshen said nothing. Xu Lin’s drowsiness instantly cleared.

Realizing what he had asked, Xu Lin chuckled twice nervously, his hair standing on end, quickly making ands: "Mr. Bo, I’ll check right away."

Bo Yunshen acknowledged and hung up the phone.

Leaving Xing Yue Bay, Bo Yunshen received a call from Xu Lin, his eyebrows slightly raised, hearing Xu Lin say, "Mr. Bo, there’s no news about Qin... the madam."
