Qin Yinyin’s questions bombarded her one after another, making Qin Yan’s heartbeat fluctuate wildly, that familiar pain creeping into her heart bit by bit.

"Yinyin, Bo Yunshen is your daddy!" Qin Yan reached out to wipe away a tear, "Mommy hasn’t lied to you!"
"It’s just that Daddy might not love you as much as you think he does!"
Qin Yan’s eyes looked empty.

Qin Yinyin’s lips moved slightly, unsure of what she heard. Her eyes brightened, and with a faint smile at the corners of her mouth, she whispered softly, "I knew it, Daddy is my daddy!"
Qin Yan wanted to say sothing, but Qin Yinyin had just been frightened, and Qin Yan worried that saying anything more might upset her. Her lips moved but, in the end, not a single word ca out.
The little one was severely depleted in energy. She had barely spoken a few words to Qin Yan when she beca drowsy, sinking into a state between sleep and wakefulness.
Downstairs, the sound of a whip cracking through the silent night was unusually clear.
Suddenly, Qin Yinyin’s eyes flew open, "Mommy, can you stop Grandpa from beating Daddy?!"
Qin Yan paused.
