"What a ridiculous claim! Miss Bo and Mr. Bo look so much alike, especially their eyes—they’re just like each other’s. If you don’t believe , just ask Qiqi!"

"Yeah, they do resemble each other! It’s obvious she’s his biological child! Besides, if Bo Yunshen truly disliked his wife, he wouldn’t stoop to stay by her side here, would he?"

"Mr. Bo really dotes on his wife. Last night, when I passed by their ward, I saw Mr. Bo feeding Miss Bo her dicine!"

"The newspapers are all saying it’s either just for show or those female celebrities trying to ride off Mr. Bo’s popularity!"

"Exactly!"

Bo Yunshen’s fingertips stiffened as he pinched his cigarette.

His first reaction was that the nurse was talking nonsense.

When he had brought Qin Yinyin to the hospital, his wound had split open. Was it not very normal for his face to be pale?

What were they saying?

His pale complexion was due to shock from Qin Yinyin’s illness?

Hmph...

Also, that Qin Yinyin looked a lot like him?

He knit his brows, suddenly recalling the paternity test that Lu Xiang had couriered to his company.

Gu Jinyan was on good terms with Lu Xiang, and it was he who took Bo Yunshen’s undergarnts to get a paternity test done through Lu Xiang.

But...

The paternity test procedure is complex; a legitimate one takes ten to eight days to complete!

The one Lu Xiang obtained was clearly from an underground facility!

It wasn’t legitimate at all!

Moreover, considering the close relationship between Lu Xiang and Qin Yan, who knows if she did it to help Qin Yan secure her position as Mrs. Bo—maybe she spent so money to fabricate a fake certificate.

After one cigarette burned out, Bo Yunshen lit a second one, the smoke seeping from his mouth as the furrow between his brows deepened.

The group of young nurses had not finished their chat, with one of them insisting on how much Qin Yinyin resembled him.

They described how despite her young age, Qin Yinyin had his deanor, able to grit her teeth and bear discomforts of the stomach, sweet and compliant in a way that didn’t seem characteristic of a three-year-old!

Bo Yunshen licked the corner of his lips, probably influenced by the nurses’ convincing talk, and suddenly, Qin Yinyin’s face ca to mind.

He had t eyes with Qin Yinyin plenty of tis, often feeling a sense of déjà vu when looking into her eyes.

Now that he thought about it, her eyes did bear a resemblance to his, except she was young and a girl, and also quite beautiful.

Most people at first glance would only marvel at Qin Yinyin’s loveliness and cuteness, not taking any notice of whom her eyes resembled.

The sumr air was sowhat muggy, and even with enough air conditioning on the Svip floor, Bo Yunshen did not feel relaxed.

He suddenly thought back to three years ago when Qin Yan had just married into the Bo Family.

Bo Yunshen, his heart set on Lin Man, absolutely could not accept Qin Yan, but Qin Yan insisted that Qin Yinyin was his child.

At that ti, the Bo Family was actually considering conducting a paternity test for Qin Yinyin and Bo Yunshen!

However, a formal paternity test would list nas specifically, and if it were really carried out, the dia would expose it imdiately.

In case Qin Yinyin wasn’t his child, how would that affect Bo Group’s stock prices?

Furthermore, having a paternity test itself wasn’t sothing comndable, as if on public display admitting that he, Bo Yunshen, had married a woman whose private life was less than clean.

For the sake of Bo Group, Bo Yuanshan and Mrs. Bo had disagreed, and so Yunshen had suppressed his reaction.

Three years later, when Qin Yinyin’s appearance was ntioned again, the corners of Bo Yunshen’s lips sank heavily.

Even after countless recollections, he still couldn’t rember having slept with Qin Yan!

A face and figure like Qin Yan’s stood out among all the won he had encountered—if there really had been sothing between them, he was certain he would rember!

Bo Yunshen narrowed his slender eyes, firmly convinced that Qin Yinyin could not possibly be his daughter.

Why should he care about the counterfeit paternity test that Lu Xiang had procured?

In this vast world, there was no shortage of wonders, and people who looked similar were all too common!

The idea that people who looked alike were parent and child was simply ludicrous!

A bit of the pressure inside Bo Yunshen’s heart dissipated; he stood upright, his figure elongating under the light, highlighting the elegance and handsoness of the man.

The smoky sll on him faded slightly, and Bo Yunshen stood up straight, re-entering the hospital room.

Bo Yunshen reached out and turned on the wall light in the outer room. The dim yellow light wasn’t blinding. He took a couple of steps inside and paused when his gaze landed on the table by the door.

There lay a pair of scissors and several collection bags.

Such items were not uncommon in a hospital and were probably brought by the nurse who administered an IV to Qin Yinyin, then forgotten.

A twitch passed over his brows, and his fingers moved slightly; after rubbing them against the seam of his trousers, he reached for the scissors and went into the bedroom.

Qin Yinyin was sleeping on the edge of the bed, her eyes closed, and her lips slightly upturned, in the dim light seeping in from outside.

Bo Yunshen’s gaze fell upon Qin Yinyin’s eyes—though she was young, the contours were quite clear.

Upon a deliberate observation, Qin Yinyin’s appearance did indeed resemble his, especially the eyes.

Bo Yunshen’s hand holding the scissors paused; he bent over carefully and clipped a few strands of Qin Yinyin’s hair.

Concerned about waking Qin Yan and her daughter, Bo Yunshen’s movents were exceedingly gentle, and he was extrely cautious even as he stood back up.

Halfway to standing straight, Qin Yinyin’s eyes suddenly fluttered open. Bo Yunshen stiffened as their gazes t.

"Mommy..."

The towering, dark figure looming over her was far too frightening for Qin Yinyin, who suddenly burst into tears. Bo Yunshen abruptly stood straight, stuffing the collection bag into his pocket.

The next second, the room was flooded with light, the harsh white hospital light glaring down. Bo Yunshen shielded his eyes with a hand.

The scissors in his hand clattered into the view of Qin Yan.

Qin Yan reached to embrace Qin Yinyin, who, probably startled, began to cry heart-wrenchingly, her face as pale as death.

The sleepiness in Qin Yan’s eyes evaporated, and she hugged her daughter close. As she patted her to soothe her, she kept a wary eye on the scissors in Bo Yunshen’s hand,

"Mr. Bo, aren’t you going to explain those scissors in your hand? In the middle of the night, instead of sleeping, you stand by Yinyin’s pillow with scissors, what exactly are you doing?"

A flicker crossed Bo Yunshen’s brow, and the hand holding the scissors tensed unusually.

He didn’t like the accusatory tone in Qin Yan’s voice. With a cold face, he placed the scissors on the table, his tone far from pleasant, "What I’m doing is none of your business!"

"How is it not my business?! Your actions have frightened my daughter! She’s young and timid. Anyone would be scared out of their wits by this kind of behavior, even an adult waking up in the middle of the night!"

"I told you, if you have any complaints, address them at . What kind of skill is it to scare Yinyin in the middle of the night?!"

Bo Yunshen took a heavy breath. He, the CEO of Bo Group, scare a three-year-old child?

Isn’t Qin Yan supposed to be clever? Can’t she see the absurdity in her own words?
