The leading tiger marten, getting angry, swung a fist at Little Sand Cat’s face.

The tiger marten’s small hands were too short, and their vision was generally poor. Little Sand Cat was agile and dodged easily. The tiger marten’s fists hit nothing but air, leaving them frustrated and exasperated.

Little Sand Cat stuck out its tongue at them: [Nya nya nya, miss , didn’t you!]

This action infuriated the tiger martens, and they angrily started to pee at Little Sand Cat.

Their secretions were extrely unpleasant, enough to make predators hesitate or even asphyxiate them.

[Hey, hey, hey, try to keep the desert civilized. No public urination!]

Little Sand Cat backed up a few steps, and seeing this, the tiger martens advanced aggressively, trying to gang up on Little Sand Cat.

The Black Jungle Cat, starting to defend, walked over gracefully and hissed at the group of tiger martens. They faltered for a mont, then beca even more aggressive, hissing, "Hiss, hiss—"

Tiger martens belonged to the weasel family. These tough little guys seed quite troubleso. This group had about a dozen mbers, but judging by their size, they were still growing. A few of the smaller tiger martens seed to be young hunters just getting started.

Xu Ying, after so thought, decided to activate the mastery of Weasel Beast Language Skill.

The hissing of the tiger martens fell into her ears as understandable speech.

[Hmph, you’re acting like Black Cat Chief, yet you still protect your own student!]

[You ate up all the mice around here, and now we have no prey to practice our hunting skills!]

[Brothers, let’s get them!]

The younger the tiger martens, the bolder they were. They charged ahead to confront the Black Jungle Cat, but with a single kick from the Black Jungle Cat’s long legs, they lost balance and fell on the sandy ground.

The fallen young tiger marten writhed on the ground to get up: [Waa, you’re bullying , I’m going to tell my mom and dad!]

The other tiger martens quickly beca furious and surrounded the Black Jungle Cat.

[Just you wait, when my mom and dad, uncle, and aunt co, I’m going to bite your tail to shreds!]

[Dare to bully our youngest; you’ll have no place here in the future!]

Wow, these tiger martens were much fiercer than the Little Desert Rat they first t.

If the Little Desert Rat was a small desert ruffian, these tiger martens were like gang mbers.

"You’ve misunderstood. Little Sand Cat didn’t eat all the sand rats. It’s just a young cat. How could it eat so many mice?"

The largest tiger marten retorted sullenly: [Then it must have hidden the little rats as its food supply, keeping it from us.]

[Who are you to understand our language, and still side with Little Sand Cat?]

Xu Ying flashed a friendly smile: "I’m an animal rescuer from Station 032. If you have any problems, you can talk to , but you can’t bully other little animals."

[You’re an animal rescuer? We have no prey to practice hunting and compete in hunting contests. Shouldn’t you be helping us instead of protecting Little Sand Cat? Is it because we aren’t local?]

The tiger martens were quite dissatisfied and unreasonable, like a group of spoiled brats.

Their terrible attitude made Xu Ying really want to knock so sense into each of these little troublemakers.

But hearing that they had no prey to practice hunting, she imdiately thought of the rat troubles in the village, her eyes twinkling.

Scientists had developed abundant thods to resolve the harm caused to human communities by large-scale invasions of certain species in nature.

One such thod was called biological control.

Biological control involved introducing the natural enemies of harmful species to re-establish ecological balance.

The larvae of the moth, sugarcane borers, devour sugarcane. In Brazil, people introduced wasps for biological control. Wasps lay their eggs in the moth’s eggs, killing the moth embryos to control sugarcane borer damage to sugarcane.

Now the village was facing a rat problem, and manpower was insufficient, making control difficult.

anwhile, these foreign tiger martens near the rescue station, with their strong hunting abilities, were disrupting ecological balance and, by nature’s law of balance, would eventually starve due to lack of food.

As an animal rescuer, Xu Ying didn’t want to see this result.

And now these two situations seed to perfectly complent each other, didn’t they?

So, Xu Ying asked with a cheerful smile, "Oh? Are you holding so hunting competition?"

This group of young hunters was competitive, and Xu Ying’s words successfully diverted their attention, leading the tiger martens to complain competitively:

[Yes! I’m in second place now, just two rats behind the first place, but the rats are all gone, it’s driving crazy!]

[Hmph, why am I in last place? I just overslept. You guys are too quick!]

[I’m third only because you two snatched my targets!]

"Okay, okay, stop arguing, stop arguing."

Xu Ying found one downside of understanding Beast Language was that when little animals quarreled, she received too much information, and it gave her a headache.

She hoped not to visit chicken farms or pig farms, or her brain might explode with the information influx.

"Actually, I know of a place where there are plenty of mice."

Xu Ying’s words instantly silenced the noisy tiger martens.

[Hurry, hurry, tell us where it is!]

Xu Ying teased them a bit, shaking her head: "But looking at your small builds..."

She feigned doubt: "Forget it, you probably can’t handle it. The mice there have really bad tempers, much aner than the Little Desert Rats here."

"What if you ended up crying from getting beaten?"

Reverse psychology worked brilliantly on bratty kids.

The tiger martens imdiately clamored: [Now! Right now! Tell us the location!]

[Aren’t you an animal rescuer? Shouldn’t you be helping us! Hurry up, tell us!]

The young tiger marten hunters were hopping up and down in anxiousness.

[If you don’t tell us, we’ll flip your rescue station!]

[We’ll party on your rooftop and chew up your blankets!]

Hearing their threats, Xu Ying’s mouth twitched—could it be these brats’ parents were just as "fierce"?

"How could I feel at ease taking you there like this."

Xu Ying sighed deeply: "There are many people at that place, so I need to apply to headquarters to take you."

"If you don’t listen to my commands, headquarters won’t let take you little ones over."

The noisy tiger martens quieted down, exchanging glances.

"And if you’re disobedient there, headquarters will catch you and make you work at the zoo, and you won’t be as free as you are in the desert."

After so whispering among themselves, the biggest tiger marten stepped forward to express their collective opinion on behalf of the little troublemakers: [We talked it over, we’ll follow your directions, just take us there please.]

With her plan succeeding, Xu Ying smugly arched an eyebrow, but then in the distance ca a fierce roar: [Who dares bully my cub?]
