Chapter 891: Chapter 890: Repaying Kindness with Enmity
"Now I’ve really seen what it ans to be wealthy. I always heard people say that the richer soone is, the more low-key they are. I didn’t believe it before, but now I truly do," Brother Hei Yu said excitedly.
Indeed, when he first t Su Changfeng, he didn’t think Su Changfeng was a particularly wealthy person. He seed quite ordinary, sitting in a wheelchair. Yet, this very person had so much money in his bank account. A billion-dollar tycoon, and that was just one of his bank cards; he might be worth more than a billion. Brother Hei Yu felt envious but lucky that he hadn’t provoked Su Changfeng.
"Boss Hei, do you think we two brothers could hustle and save up that much money?" the little brother beside Brother Hei Yu asked excitedly.
"Isn’t that obvious? We definitely can," Brother Hei Yu replied firmly.
Hearing Brother Hei Yu say they could, his subordinate suddenly stopped in his tracks, pulled Brother Hei Yu by the hand, and asked, "Brother Hei Yu, do you really think we can?"
"Of course, you just need to co out at night to work and sleep at ho during the day," Brother Hei Yu joked.
Upon hearing this, the subordinate’s excitent instantly plumted. Brother Hei Yu’s words clearly implied he was daydreaming.
The two of them returned to the Chinese restaurant they were at, and approached Su Changfeng.
This ti, Brother Hei Yu didn’t have the sa arrogant deanor as before; he was upright, bowing slightly, and handed the card to Su Changfeng. He looked like a student caught by a teacher, having to hand over sothing he shouldn’t have taken.
Su Changfeng glanced at him indifferently and took the card from Brother Hei Yu’s hands, without speaking.
Brother Hei Yu then took out three thousand cash from his bag, which he just withdrew from the bank, and respectfully said to Su Changfeng: "This is the 3,000 we talked about earlier. Please, take a look, do you need to count it?"
From this alone, it was evident how respectful Brother Hei Yu was towards Su Changfeng, not just in action but in his manner of address.
Su Changfeng found this a bit amusing, waved his hand, and said indifferently: "This amount ans nothing to ; do I really need to waste ti here counting it?"
"You’re right, you’re right," Brother Hei Yu said, nodding and bowing. Indeed, this money was insignificant to the man in front of him, considering he was worth billions.
"Since the money’s already repaid, we’re settled then. I’ll take my leave now," Brother Hei Yu said politely to Su Changfeng. But after speaking, he didn’t imdiately turn to leave, instead waiting for Su Changfeng’s signal.
Su Changfeng waved his hand, indicating he could go, and Brother Hei Yu felt relieved, hurriedly leaving the restaurant with his little brother.
Then the sound of the engine gradually faded away.
Seeing the matter had cald down, and the intimidating person had left, the young man who’d been crying out earlier slowly got up from the ground.
Still, he shook off his earlier fear, reverting to his original arrogant behavior upon entering.
To Su Changfeng, the 3,000 was indeed nothing, and he hadn’t planned to ask this group for money. So after he was full, he wheeled himself out of the restaurant.
While leaving, the young man beaten by Brother Hei Yu looked at Su Changfeng thoughtfully, and remarked to those around him: "That person seed quite loaded."
"What do you plan to do with him?" the young woman asked urgently, clearly sensing the young man’s ill intentions and appeared quite nervous.
Earlier, she called Su Changfeng her brother out of desperation, because she couldn’t repay the money, not because she had anything against him. Yet, unexpectedly, this stranger, Su Changfeng, had helped repay their debt; and it was a substantial amount—3,000—even though she hadn’t treated him very well earlier.
Though she didn’t hold any esteed status and lacked financial ans, she had a good heart, understanding that one should repay kindness, so she felt grateful to Su Changfeng.
The young leader curled his lips into a smile, as if he already had a plan, saying to those around him: "You see, he’s in a wheelchair, likely doesn’t spend much. Sitting on so much money doesn’t make sense, let’s do a good deed and help him spend it."
Upon hearing this, the group found it reasonable. It seed these youngsters were planning to target Su Changfeng.
But this ti, the young woman didn’t side with them. She vowed firmly: "How can you do that? He’s in a wheelchair, and he helped us just now. Without him, things would have ended poorly for us. Isn’t it too much to target him now?"
"Ha, too much?" the leading youngster scoffed at her, saying: "If you don’t have the guts, just disappear in front of . He’s just disabled. We’re many; we can’t handle him?"
With that, they also stord out of the restaurant.
Though reluctant to join them in troubling Su Changfeng, the young woman worried they might harm him, so she trotted behind them.
Su Changfeng continued wheeling himself slowly, watching his slender figure—it sohow touched people’s hearts.
Continuing leisurely, he reached an empty alley.
Of course, behind him, a small group had been following all along, moving quietly. Earlier, there were too many passersby; street robbery was difficult, so they followed behind.
Now, seeing no one around, they couldn’t hold back any longer, shouting: "Stop right there, cripple!"
Startled by the noise, Su Changfeng instinctively turned back, spotting a group standing behind him.
Su Changfeng wasn’t unfamiliar with them, given they just t in the Chinese restaurant. They were those unruly young n. Seeing their stance, they weren’t here to thank him.
As for their current intentions, Su Changfeng could easily guess.
"I’ve already helped you out; isn’t that enough?" Su Changfeng remarked helplessly.
"You’ve got money, being crippled—you can’t spend it alone. Why not subsidize us brothers—let us help you spend it?" the leading young man shalessly said.
