Chapter 777: Chapter 778: The Stubborn Yang Wenwen

"Shall we head back now?" Yue Qingshan asked.

Yue Weilong and Murong Xue were puzzled by Yue Qingshan’s fluctuating attitude. Why had their daughter suddenly beco so strange? She had seed eager to et soone just monts ago, but now she appeared unexpectedly calm.

Did her burst of enthusiasm not even last three minutes before fading away?

Su Changfeng’s place isn’t so luxurious mansion or a castle, just an ordinary ho with so nice things around.

Upon returning, there’s a pretty girl with dyed black hair waiting at the door, who’s been there for quite a while.

"My na is Yang Wenwen, I’m your assistant." Yang Wenwen was sent by the group to assist Su Changfeng, primarily to help him understand the Shangguan Family’s group’s specific situation in M Country.

Su Changfeng nodded and said, "The auction group will send over so items soon. Help

move them inside."

Yang Wenwen’s work is clerical, not manual labor. And regardless, she’s a woman, yet Su Changfeng asked her to do such heavy work.

"If you can’t do it, then you don’t need to stay with ." Su Changfeng said again, before going inside.

Su Changfeng knew that Yang Wenwen was not just his assistant; she was also sent by Shangguan Sichen to monitor his every move. Therefore, An Heng’s first impression of her wasn’t good.

Yang Wenwen could only stand at the door helplessly. She knew this was Su Changfeng trying to force her to leave, but ironically, she just wanted to prove in front of him that she could do it.

However, when the auction group’s truck arrived, Yang Wenwen was completely dumbfounded.

What had he bought? He managed to fill nearly half the truck!

With so many items, if she had to move them all herself, she might end up utterly exhausted.

Seeing the workers move item after item out of the truck, Yang Wenwen walked over to them and asked, "Can’t you just help move these directly into the house?"

"Sorry, miss, we’re only paid to deliver and unload. We weren’t instructed to carry them inside." The lead worker responded.

In M Country, expensive labor is common, and each different task requires separate paynt. Even if they could easily do it, the workers wouldn’t spend an extra second without paynt, which is different from the situation back ho.

Yang Wenwen walked into the house in panic, seeing Su Changfeng leisurely watching TV in the living room, she asked, "What did you buy? Why not let those workers move the items inside?"

"It’s not much, just packed up the entire auction’s items and brought them back." Su Changfeng said nonchalantly.

Yang Wenwen was shocked; packing the entire auction’s items and bringing them back—how wasteful!

"I heard that having them help move items inside costs extra, so I just had them deliver them outside. Besides, you’re here now," Su Changfeng continued.

Hearing this, Yang Wenwen clenched her teeth, realizing this guy was purposely making things difficult for her.

Comparing the cost of having the workers move things with packing up the entire auction, what does it matter?

"You really know how to live frugally," Yang Wenwen said through gritted teeth.

"Thank you for the complint," Su Changfeng smiled and calmly accepted.

Yang Wenwen was so angry her teeth ached, turning her head and storming out.

Looking at the pile of items outside like small hills, Yang Wenwen felt a bit desperate. If she had to move all these herself, she might collapse by the end of the day.

But Su Changfeng was clearly using this thod to force her out, a situation she couldn’t accept.

"It’s just moving stuff; it’s no big deal. Watch

do it!"

In Su Changfeng’s view, even if Yang Wenwen wasn’t forced out in this manner, she wouldn’t persist for long. After all, she was a girl; doing such hard labor seed improbable.

However, Yang Wenwen’s stubbornness was clearly beyond Su Changfeng’s expectations.

As item after item was moved inside, blisters began to appear on Yang Wenwen’s palms, yet she continued to persevere.

This surprised Su Changfeng greatly; he didn’t expect such a strong-willed character in her, with no intention of giving up.

Seeing her wipe the blisters with tissues, Su Changfeng couldn’t help but say, "If you can’t keep going, don’t push yourself. Why make things hard for yourself?"

Yang Wenwen lowered her head, tears welling in her eyes.

Always having done clerical work, this was the first ti she suffered like this, and the throbbing pain in her palms felt like needles pricking her. And she had only moved so smaller items inside; the painful large items hadn’t been moved—those would be the hardest.

"Do we have so sort of grudge between us?" Yang Wenwen asked as she raised her head, tears flowing from her eyes.

Su Changfeng spread his hands helplessly, "I know why you’re here; Shangguan Sichen sent you to monitor , and maybe he wants daily reports of my whereabouts and actions, right? Do you think I have any reason to keep you here?"

"But if I do what he says, then I’ll lose my job. Do you want

to be unemployed?" Yang Wenwen sobbed.

Indeed, she had that responsibility, though she couldn’t refuse the task. To her, she was just following orders, unwilling to lose her job; why endure such hardship?

Su Changfeng paused at her words; he didn’t consider this aspect. Now realizing, he felt slightly overboard in making things difficult for Yang Wenwen, depriving her of any choice.

"There’s a hole in your stockings, better change them," Su Changfeng finished and stood to move the items himself.
