Chapter 700: Chapter 701: Changes in Purgatory

But what he wanted to see wasn’t just the thrill of two n fighting; he was most eager to see how much of an impact the woman, as a war trophy, could have on him.

"All you think about is won; have you spent your whole life living for won?" Pangolin scoffed.

Faced with Pangolin’s taunt, Liu Chao didn’t care at all and instead arrogantly said, "Why do we n need money and status? It’s because of won. Even if you conquer half the world but don’t have a woman by your side, what’s the point of money and status?"

"A guy like you dares to talk about conquering the world?" Pangolin sneered.

"Don’t underestimate , Pangolin. I was a big shot back in the day with thousands of followers and a place of my own," Liu Chao boasted, seemingly reminiscing about his glory days.

Pangolin shook his head; a big shot like him wasn’t worth his attention. To put it harshly, he was just the leader of a group of petty thugs.

At that mont, a deep voice suddenly echoed through the arena.

"Only one person can leave alive from above."

As soon as these words were spoken, all the prisoners erupted instantly.

Especially those who had been locked in Purgatory for over ten years; they were even more shocked than anyone else.

Since they ca here, except for Wilson accidentally killing soone, there had never been a case where only one person could survive in the arena. But now Purgatory suddenly adopted such a policy, so their shock was understandable.

Why would so be willing to spend a fortune to lock soone up in Purgatory?

The main reason is that the person still had so value, and their rival or enemy didn’t want them to die easily and also didn’t want them to appear in the outside world. So, they would spare no expense to keep them locked in Purgatory.

This ans everyone in Purgatory may have lost their freedom, but their lives weren’t threatened.

So, why is there such a change in Purgatory?

While the prisoners discussed, Liu Chao said to Pangolin, "This should be because of this person that Purgatory is changing; it seems they definitely want this person dead now."

Pangolin nodded; this rule can’t apply to everyone, or it would destroy the value of Purgatory’s existence.

But who is this person, worthy of Purgatory’s focus?

"Sothing’s odd." Pangolin furrowed his face in confusion.

"What’s odd about it?" Liu Chao didn’t understand Pangolin’s point.

"Purgatory wants this guy dead; there should be plenty of ways to kill him. Why the need for him to be killed in the arena? Even Wilson isn’t his match; surely nobody can contend with him now?" Pangolin stated, puzzled as to why they would operate this way.

Purgatory appears determined to lead this guy to his doom but isn’t choosing the most direct thod, which doesn’t make sense.

"Your words have enlightened ." Liu Chao also furrowed his brow, questioning why Purgatory doesn’t just say the word to have this person killed, rather than setting up an arena battle.

"Could it be that Purgatory’s real plan isn’t to have this person killed?" Liu Chao asked.

Pangolin’s mind flooded with questions; the reasons behind Purgatory’s actions eluded him, leaving him bewildered.

"Or, perhaps the person’s enemy intends to slowly torture him to death, not wanting him to die easily?" Liu Chao continued.

This theory has so plausibility, yet Pangolin felt there was sothing amiss. Ever since the person entered Purgatory, things began to seem out of the ordinary.

"Regardless, let’s see if he can survive this ti," Pangolin suggested.

At that mont, the woman belonging to the victor appeared, still the sa woman, but dressed even more skimpily, causing the crowd to buzz with excitent.

Liu Chao couldn’t stop gulping, his gaze fixed on the woman.

But Pangolin only had eyes for Su Changfeng, having no thoughts about the woman.

Soon, Su Changfeng’s opponent also entered the arena, soone he had never seen before, baring a topless physique that showcased explosive muscles and scars that struck fear; clearly a person with a story.

Compared to Su Changfeng, just from appearance alone, this newcor radiated more intimidation, especially those scars, reminiscent of a demon erged from Hell, capable of instilling dread in anyone.

"Never seen this guy before."

"Could it possibly be another newcor? Many new arrivals here lately."

"Could he be soone from Zone A? Judging by his appearance, he’s killed many before."

"This arena fight promises to be extrely thrilling; I wonder if the kid’s fortune will hold like before."

While everyone chid in, Pangolin’s views diverged sowhat from theirs.

He felt the newcor seed like soone Purgatory purposely brought to challenge the helted man; if he was truly from Zone A, he wouldn’t appear so easily, nor show up in such a life-and-death fight.

Pangolin hadn’t been to Zone A and was unsure of the characters within; if they received special treatnt from Purgatory, it ant Purgatory valued their lives highly.

"Why hasn’t anyone removed his shackles?" Pangolin puzzled out loud; a 10kg shackle would severely hamper his movent, making even walking difficult. If he faced off against that guy this way, this arena fight could be dangerous for him.

"Seems to

Purgatory is set on his demise this ti; no way they’ll remove the shackles," Liu Chao remarked.

Pangolin’s heart sank; the helted man’s opponent this ti seed undoubtedly formidable; fighting while shackled left his chances slim.

"Shut your cursed mouth." Pangolin scolded angrily.

Liu Chao shrunk back, saying no more.

As the woman in the arena raised her hand, it marked the imminent start of the death match, notably with nobody stepping into the cage to unlock Su Changfeng’s shackles.

Witnessing this, the surrounding prisoners were particularly shocked; those who initially supported Su Changfeng now sided entirely with the newcor.
