Chapter 1167: Chapter 1166: Aliens
"Elder Wu, Yin Lulu has been overbearing in Tuo Shi for many years. By rights, she should have been sent to the Yellow Level long ago. Now, it seems like karma has finally caught up with her," the assistant remarked.
Elder Wu sighed softly and said with a detached expression, "Whether she lives or dies has nothing to do with ; her departure bears no impact on Tuo Shi. But now, with Su Changfeng’s mishap, it is undoubtedly a disaster of epic proportions for Tuo Shi!"
Thinking of Su Changfeng, the assistant’s expression visibly darkened. He was naturally aware of Su Changfeng’s importance: if Su Changfeng had successfully erged from the Infinite Cave, perhaps he could have restored confidence among other Tuo Shi mbers to challenge the cave. But now, with his demise, others will likely lose the courage to attempt it.
Perhaps in the future — ten, twenty years, or even longer — no one will dare to go.
Su Changfeng beca an Earth Level master in half a month; such an achievent far surpassed Guan Shan, that forr proud son of heaven. Yet even so, he was unable to co out alive from the Infinite Cave. It’s not hard to imagine the impact this will have on other Tuo Shi mbers.
"Su Changfeng must have had terrible luck, encountering powerful creatures," the assistant sighed.
Elder Wu appeared sowhat wistful and said, "With anomalies in the Forbidden Land, crisis from the Outer Domain may arise again. Given Tuo Shi’s current situation, we are utterly incapable of confronting it. Is Tuo Shi really reaching the end of its destiny?"
"Elder Wu, isn’t there any other way?" The assistant asked, puzzled, though he was aware that, given Tuo Shi’s current strength, it couldn’t contend against the Outer Domain. He knew that thousands of strong mbers perished during Tuo Shi’s peak, but he still held hope that there might be so opportunity even in despair. So, how could one easily speak of giving up before reaching the final juncture?
"Way?" Elder Wu sighed and said, "I also wish there was another way, but all prerequisites can only be based on sufficiently powerful strength. I originally pinned my hopes on Su Changfeng, thinking he might transform Tuo Shi, even beco Tuo Shi’s savior. But now, it seems I was wrong. How could I burden him alone with such a crucial task?"
"Elder Wu, have you prepared to give up?" The assistant asked worriedly.
"Give up? Until dying in battle, how could I give up?" Elder Wu said firmly. Even though he was aware that, facing the Outer Domain with Tuo Shi as it is, there is no hope for victory, he never entertained thoughts of retreat.
What he stood firm for was not Tuo Shi itself but the countless beings behind Tuo Shi. Why would he easily give up?
The news of Su Changfeng dying in Infinite Cave spread like wildfire among Tuo Shi mbers, all lanting secretly over the fall of a once-great prodigy.
Even masters like Su Changfeng couldn’t erge from the Infinite Cave; this instilled a deep-seated fear of the cave among Tuo Shi mbers.
Those Earth Level masters avoided speaking of the Infinite Cave, even developing a strong aversion to it. The Heavenly Level status didn’t hold much allure for them anymore.
Inside the Yellow Level.
Mu Tian and Wu Wen, who had so interactions with Su Changfeng, fell silent upon hearing the news. Although Wu Wen had so minor clashes with Su Changfeng, he had to admit, in his heart, his submission after witnessing Su Changfeng’s proven strength.
Climbing to Earth Level in less than half a month was sothing Wu Wen had never heard of; Tuo Shi had always valued strength, and he naturally knew the gap between himself and Su Changfeng.
"Master, did Su Changfeng really die? We saw him just a short while ago." Wu Wen said.
"Su Changfeng’s death is truly a devastating blow to Tuo Shi!" Mu Tian sighed. Although he didn’t know the true aning of Tuo Shi’s existence, he could perceive Tuo Shi’s current crisis; anyone who ntioned the Infinite Cave felt fear, and no one dared challenge the cave, indicating that Tuo Shi wouldn’t have new Heavenly Level masters. The future of Tuo Shi is indeed worriso!
Wu Wen was naturally aware of this as well. He nodded and said, "Indeed, it’s regrettable. We don’t know the true purpose of Tuo Shi’s existence, so we cannot determine the impact this will have."
"Wu Wen, why do you think Tuo Shi gathers the world’s masters?" Mu Tian asked.
"It must be to deal with certain powerful entities, or it could be against even stronger forces, right?" Wu Wen replied. This was a question he had pondered countless tis; surely, he wasn’t the only one to have such thoughts. Many in Tuo Shi shared these thoughts, or else, there wouldn’t be a reasonable explanation for Tuo Shi’s purpose in assembling masters.
"But have you ever considered that these so-called powerful entities or stronger forces might not be from Earth?" Mu Tian suddenly asked.
"Not from Earth? What do you an?" Wu Wen looked at Mu Tian in shock; he had never thought about this issue, nor could he comprehend Mu Tian’s reasoning.
"Master, do you know sothing?" Wu Wen asked eagerly.
Mu Tian shook his head; he was also a mber of the Yellow Level, and his information was the sa as everyone else’s. Such matters at Tuo Shi’s core, how could he know? These were rely his own speculations.
"I know as much as you do, but I believe anything Tuo Shi fears couldn’t be so simple. Tuo Shi seeks masters among the mundane; their opponents wouldn’t be mundane forces, as Tuo Shi mbers handle mundane forces with ease." Mu Tian explained.
Wu Wen pondered Mu Tian’s words seriously and agreed they made sense. But if it’s not terrestrial, then is it extraterrestrial?
The term sounded sowhat ridiculous; he truly couldn’t bring himself to believe it!
"Master, if Su Changfeng hadn’t died, given our relationship, maybe we could have uncovered sothing, but he’s dead now, so there’s nothing we can do." Wu Wen couldn’t help but sigh.
Inside the Lingxiao Pavilion.
Yin Lulu knelt before Mrs. Yin’s morial tablet, accusing Yin Zhengyuan of all his wrongdoings against her. To her, Yin Zhengyuan’s actions today disregarded his forr promises to her mother.
Yin Zhengyuan felt greatly troubled within; he didn’t want to send Yin Lulu to the Yellow Level, as the environnt was unfit for this little princess who had been pampered since childhood.
However, Elder Wu’s stance was clear; Yin Lulu had handled matters so terribly that if he didn’t deal with her, it might provoke dissatisfaction within the entire Shangyun Pavilion.
In past circumstances, Yin Zhengyuan might not have cared about Shangyun Pavilion’s attitude; his daughter, no matter what she did, had his support. But now, things were different; with anomalies in the Forbidden Land, he needed to prioritize relations with Shangyun Pavilion.
