Capítulo 1116: Chapter 1115: A Deadly Question
To be honest, as for feeling moved, Su Changfeng indeed had not, but he did feel slightly touched. You know, back in the United States, if it weren’t for Yue Qingshan’s strong support, he wouldn’t have been able to live so easily.
No matter how dangerous it was, Yue Qingshan would stand by his side without any hesitation. To be able to do this is indeed quite rare for a woman.
Su Changfeng could disregard Yue Qingshan’s love, but he couldn’t ignore her kindness.
“I wasn’t moved, but her help really touched
deeply.” Su Changfeng admitted frankly.
Shen Hanxue silently withdrew her hand. To be honest, she was also very conflicted about this matter. Yue Qingshan was her best sister, and now she had fallen for her husband and even gave so much without complaint.
As a woman, if she weren’t Su Changfeng’s wife, Shen Hanxue would truly sympathize with Yue Qingshan.
“How about we move to a country where polygamy is legal?” Shen Hanxue suggested.
That’s not normal!
Too weird!
Surely it’s a trap!
Su Changfeng’s heart shook slightly; he instinctively sensed sothing unusual and imdiately said, “What are you talking about! I, Su Changfeng, will only ever have one wife, and that’s you, Shen Hanxue!”
As the New Year approached, even the small Jiang City looked very lively. People who worked out of town had co back, creating an atmosphere of bustling harmony, with people cramd up and down the streets.
It’s only during this ti of year that one can see such lively scenes in Jiang City.
Everyone was buying New Year’s goods, whether ordinary folks or prestigious families, with no exceptions.
Ever since Su Changfeng’s return, Gu Qing’er had been coming to the Mountain Villa almost daily, acting as if she regarded this place as her ho.
Shen Hanxue and Yue Qingshan were back from shopping, busy organizing things.
“Changfeng, how about you write the couplets this ti?” Huo Tian suggested to Su Changfeng with a smile.
Upon hearing this while sorting things, Shen Hanxue looked at Huo Tian in surprise and asked, “Grandpa Huo, can Changfeng actually write couplets?”
“Of course! His brush calligraphy has been practiced since he was a child; the couplets for the Ye Family have always been written by him,” Huo Tian answered proudly with a smile.
“This is the only thing I could join in with at the Ye Family during New Year, and it has to be kept from Nangong Qianqiu,” Su Changfeng said sowhat bitterly.
The previous arrangents were all secretly organized by Huo Tian, which gave Su Changfeng a sense of participation in the New Year.
“Brother, you’re amazing! Is there anything you can’t do? You can even write calligraphy?” Gu Qing’er leaned close to Su Changfeng, her eyes filled with curiosity.
“Of course, there are many things I can’t do, like right now I’m worried about one thing. Tell , how do I get you to go ho?” Su Changfeng teased.
Hearing this, Gu Qing’er couldn’t help but pout a little and leaned over to Shen Hanxue, tugging at her sleeve, saying, “Sister Hanxue, look at him, he’s so annoying. Shouldn’t you help
teach him a lesson?”
Shen Hanxue was sowhat helpless; this little girl seed crafty but always got the short end of the stick when it ca to Su Changfeng and always ended up seeking her help.
“Alright, I’ll give him a good talking to later,” Shen Hanxue said indulgently.
Upon hearing this, Gu Qing’er defiantly glanced at Su Changfeng, her eyes provocatively bright.
Su Changfeng was a bit resigned; if his wife sided with this girl, naturally he had no way to counter it.
“Since you’re idle, why not help with cutting paper? At least do sothing,” Su Changfeng said helplessly to Gu Qing’er.
“Alright, but as paynt, you must give
two couplets personally written by Su Changfeng. That would be quite impressive!” Gu Qing’er said slyly with a smile.
After everything was set up, as soon as Su Changfeng picked up the brush, everyone’s attention was drawn, moving over to watch.
Except for Huo Tian, no one knew Su Changfeng could write with a brush, let alone having seen it firsthand.
Among them, Ji Hong was the most curious. She had always thought the family’s couplets were written by Huo Tian and never imagined it was Su Changfeng’s handiwork.
At the ti, she had admired the neat characters of the couplets, hinting at the style of a master. In her heart, she still doubted that Su Changfeng could write such characters.
In fact, Su Changfeng hadn’t held a brush for a long ti. At this mont, he held his breath, imrsed; the strokes flowed like a tale, displaying elegance in their completion.
The scene captivated Shen Hanxue once again in Su Changfeng’s charm; she had truly not expected that Su Changfeng possessed such skills, he was like a book, inviting always to be read further.
Beside her, Gu Qing’er couldn’t help but widen her eyes, ever more surprised at the calligraphy unfolding before her.
With one smooth motion finish, there was no pause at all during the couplet writing.
“Haven’t written in a long ti, indeed I am a bit rusty; I’ll do it once more,” Huo Tian said as he looked at Su Changfeng.
Without hesitation, Su Changfeng moved aside the couplet just written, accustod to Huo Tian’s exacting demands.
He could still rember how many sheets of paper were wasted in his childhood; this scene replayed as if it had taken them back in ti.
Whenever there was the slightest imperfection, Huo Tian would have him redo it.
“What’s wrong with it? Isn’t it good enough? If you don’t want it, give it to !” upon seeing the scene, Gu Qing’er quickly expressed, carefully saving the couplet Su Changfeng had just written, looking rather precious.
“Don’t worry, I’ll give you sothing even better in a bit,” Su Changfeng said with a chuckle, watching the young girl’s actions.
Gu Qing’er gave him a glance, then shook her head, saying, “Forget it, I think this is great. I’ll just take this one.”
Su Changfeng said nothing more; taking a deep breath, his brush moved like a dragon, completing another round in one go, indeed better than the previous.
Yet Huo Tian was still not satisfied, his brows furrowed; he had Su Changfeng do it again, this stringent effort becoming apparent to Ji Hong watching from the side.
Finally, after several tries, Su Changfeng managed to retrieve his forr flair, and Huo Tian, at last, nodded in satisfaction. By that ti, Su Changfeng’s forehead was already covered in sweat.
Seeing this, Shen Hanxue quickly helped Su Changfeng wipe the sweat.
“Grandpa Huo, isn’t this too strict? If it tires him out, I’d be unwilling,” Shen Hanxue pouted playfully.
Huo Tian laughed despite himself; without his constant strict standards never easing on Su Changfeng’s training, how would he develop such tenacity?
However, Shen Hanxue was, after all, Su Changfeng’s wife. It’s natural for her to feel heartache, knowing they’re indeed the married couple.
