Chapter 276: Welco to the Rock?
“Did you hear what they said? They said colonize! They said that us won will be used to make babies for the Underground Colony!” Fang Yu shouted in panic as she shook Androda’s shoulders.
“Why did you not tell this earlier?”
“Oh, I forgot.” Androda said mischievously as her eyes roved all over Fang Yu’s body. “Why, do you have any problems with that?”
“Of course I do!” Right now, Fang Yu was wearing a mask to hide her face. But her body was still visible to everyone.
Her perfect curves and great assets were shown in full display. Even Fang Yu marveled at the perfection of her body.
“If anyone sees my gorgeous body, I am sure they might use to provide babies for the colony!” Fang Yu then took a deep breath as she decided to use her perfectly refined body to transform her whole appearance.
She removed her mask as she manipulated her whole body. Androda watched from the side as she saw Fang Yu changing.
After a minute of shifting, Androda cocked her eyebrows as she saw what Fang Yu looked like.
Just like Fang Lin, Fang Yu can also make herself look like a male. So out of the available choices that she had, she chose Venomshade’s body and appearance.
She used it because of the fact that she knew that Androda was Venomshade’s little sister. They can use their similarity in appearance as a guise for a sibling relationship.
As for the other reason....
Fang Yu/Venomshade looked at Fang Yu as she asked her,
“Does this person look familiar to you?”
“.....” Androda did not answer Fang Yu’s question. She turned back as she inspected their map.
With the fiasco she did earlier, Androda used her suit to slightly modify her face. It was not that too far from her real appearance, but it was far enough to elude her pursuers.
Fang Yu sighed, realizing that the relationship between the dead Venomshade and his sister Androda must be sowhat complicated.
“Well, we have much ti later to talk about this.” Fang Yu thought to herself as she peered over Androda’s shoulder.
The map that Androda was looking at right now was the current map of the Underground Colony. It was divided into 5 sections, with each section governed by one of the 5 Djinns who still serve Solomon.
Orias said that it was forrly 9 sections, but with him and 3 other Djinns leaving, the other sections were fused to beco 5.
“I will not question how you got this map of the colony. Just tell where we should go next.”
“Here.” Androda pointed at the section of the map that looked like a pizza slice. “Orias said that at the edge of this section was the place where pumpers do their job. He told us to go there.”
Fang Yu looked at the map, and she saw the na of the Djinn that was officiating this section.
“Shax...”
Before they went in, Orias told Fang Yu and Androda about the 5 other Djinns that were left in the Underground.
One of them was Shax, with the Nature Power of Perception.
When Fang Yu heard what Shax’s Nature Power was, she was slightly confused on how perception can be a nature power.
As for that, Orias’ reply was,
“Shax was born from everyone’s perception of the Nature. You can say that he was the representation of the way people sensed and perceived nature. That was how his power was tied to nature.”
Orias also told Fang Yu to be extrely careful of Shax, since he can do things that were extrely detrintal especially to practitioners.
“Ok, since we already knew where to go, let’s start walking now...”
Right now, Fang Yu was at the southern part of the colony. Shax’s section was just beside the section they were in right now. It will take around 30 minutes of walking to reach Shax’s section.
“Let’s go...” Androda said as she walked imdiately, forcing Fang Yu to catch up to her.
“Hey!”
While they were walking, Fang Yu was able to see so snippets of the civilization here in the colony.
If she had one word to describe it, it was earthen steampunk.
She could see structures made up of tal and rocks all around her. They were also assorted in shapes and sizes, as she can see so houses made of tal or so dwellings that looked like a half sphere.
So were towering buildings that reached until the ceiling, which was the underside of the surface ground.
“This is the first layer...” From what Fang Yu rembered, there were 4 layers in the Underground Colony, with the next layers getting nearer and nearer to the core of the planet.
The first layer was the Common Layer. This was the current layer that Fang Yu was in. The one that resides this layer were the newcors and those with low-class jobs.
The second layer was the dian Layer. The residents here were those with better jobs and longer residency in the colony.
The third layer was the Exalted Layer. Here, only those who rendered great rits for Solomon and those with high status were allowed to stay. They also received the best treatnt and blessings from Solomon and his Djinns.
It was also known that the 5 Djinns were living at this layer.
As for the Fourth Layer, it was called Solomon’s Quarters. This layer is where Solomon resided. As of now, the ones who can only enter this layer were the 5 Djinns, and they only do so if Solomon requires them to go there.
Most of the tis, Solomon just lay in slumber there.
“In order for us to get nearer to Solomon, we must find a fast way to enter the Exalted Layer. But how are we going to do this....”
Fang Yu looked around as she tried to think of a great plan.
She suddenly felt an arm going around her shoulders.
She suppressed her panic as she looked at the rude intruder. She did not forget to make her Venomshade face look naïve and confused.
“Are you and your sister new here?” The intruder was a brown-skinned man with a large beer belly. His missing teeth and crooked eyes made Fang Yu know that he was up to no good.
“Yes, we just arrived earlier....” Fang Yu said as she hugged Androda. Androda tried to move her way out of the hug, but Fang Yu held on. “We were actually going to the Great Shax’s domain to do our job as Pumpers.”
“Pumpers? Ugh.” The man recoiled in disgust as he looked at the two in pity. His eyes then shone as he looked at the bodies of the two.
“Hmm... can you two fight? From what I can see, your expressions, your movents, even your way of talking makes imagine that you were good fighters!”
“And what if we say we can fight?” Fang Yu asked slowly as her hug on Androda tightened.
“Then that’s great!” The man said enthusiastically. He approached Fang Yu discreetly as he whispered,
“I advise you to ignore that pumping job for now. What I can offer you will be way better than that!”
“Is is a gladiator match?” Fang Yu asked wryly.
“It is! Hahahaha! So you two really are battle junkies!” The man laughed as he patted Fang Yu’s shoulders.
“There is a gladiator coliseum there in Shax’s domain. They have matches everyday, and they were all jampacked! People loved seeing those gladiator matches! They were all exciting and blood-boiling!”
“.....”
Even an idiot already knows what the man was proposing to Fang Yu.
“So if we fight, what do we get?” Fang Yu asked slowly.
“If you win a match in the gladiator coliseum, you will get all the money and properties of the person you defeated! Hell, the person that you defeated will also be your property!”
Fang Yu’s eyes glowed as she realized that her dilemma to enter the Exalted Layer was now solved!
Androda, who saw Fang Yu’s look, shivered as she realized what Fang Yu wanted.
“So what do you think?” The man rubbed his hands excitedly as he saw Fang Yu’s expression. “Surely, you want to be part of these battles, right?”
“Hmm... let watch one match first. My decision will be after that.” Fang Yu said with finality.
“Hahaha! If that’s what you want, then let’s watch one match!” The man, who looked like an experienced swindler, led the two newcors to the place where no cowards should thread.
