Chapter 149: Detain

The only problem that he had is that this blew his Venomshade cover in front of Mina and Bloodspear.
When Fang Lin shifted on his dog form, his transformation into Venomshade was undone, showing his real face to Mina and Bloodspear.
Even though they were surprised, they did not get angry to Fang Lin or even question him. They knew that sotis, people hide their identity for so reasons. Further inquiring about this will just be rude.
Fang Lin then looked at Fang Xiushang who was giving him a venomous look. His nails gripped his throat tightly, preventing him from speaking. But even if he could not speak, Fang Lin could still feel Fang Xiushang’s anger.
“Well, now that you are with , I think I must get it. Cough up!”
Fang Lin had no worries that Fang Xiushang will renege on his promise. The agreent they made earlier must be upheld. If they did not, their dao hearts will be damaged. A damaged dao heart is catastrophic for any cultivators since it determines how far they can progress in the future.

Both the stone fragnts let out a glow inside his storage. They then moved until they were almost touching. They then started rotating slowly, with no indication of them stopping. When Fang Lin saw this, he realized that they can only be fused together once he had all the fragnts.
His eyes narrowed as he knew all the other fragnts was also in the Solstice Kingdom. Him holding two fragnts will be obvious to the other three holders. With the ti they will spend on travelling, Fang Lin was sure that he will be ambushed once he arrives on the Solstice Kingdom.
But what made Fang Lin more worried was Ling Tian. It may be his hunch, but Ling Tian seem to know about Fang Lin’s bloodline, Ling Tian did not directly say it to Fang Yu, but he was clearly alluding to it.
If Fang Lin enters the Solstice Kingdom and Ling Tian sees him holding the fragnts, Ling Tian will surely use it to his advantage. He might use his info on Fang Lin’s bloodline to blackmail him. ‘Give the fragnt or your bloodline gets discovered’ kind of statent. Fang Lin cannot allow that to happen.
That ans he has to hide his identity once more.
Right now, he was back to his original face. He cannot use Venomshade’s face since the Immortal God Sect Disciples can recognize it.
He had more choices, but eventually, he zood in to one choice.
“Thanks for the fragnts. Now, I will get all your stuff.” Fang Xiushang’s eyes widened as he saw Fang Lin taking his clothes and items.

“Mnngh!” Fang Xiushang nodded despearately, as his legs flailed wildly.
“Well too bad, this is not a part of the agreent anymore. I am just basically robbing you now.”

Well technically speaking, they just promised to give the stone fragnt to the winner. As for what happens after that, they did not dwell on it.
That ans it will be fine for Fang Lin to rob Fang Xiushang of his belongings.
“So noisy. I think its ti for you to sleep now.” Fang Lin put a pill concocted by Venomshade on his mouth. He forced it deep on his mouth, and Fang Xiushang’s throat gulped as he swallowed it whole.

He then threw Fang Xiushang on his storage, which was modified by Wang Hao to store living beings too. Fang Lin had no idea on how long Fang XIushang will stay there.
“Tsk.” Fang Lin was disappointed since he cannot open Fang Xiushang’s storage rings. It seems like they were bound to Fang Xiushang. That ans only Fang Xiushang can open and use the rings. Fang Lin can only take control of the rings if Fang Xiushang relinquishes control of the rings, or if he dies.

He called out for Mina, Bloodspear and Xue’er to co out of the ship.
All of them had seen Fang Lin’s victory and his shaless way of stripping Fang Xiushang of his clothes. Even now, Mina was blushing slightly from seeing such scene. Xue’er felt no sha, since she was not that experienced yet.
“So what use will that brat have?” Bloodspear inquired. “Is he related to those punishers?”
“Yes, you can say he’s their Young Master.”
“Oh! So you are now kidnapping him!” Bloodspear’s eyes brightened as he felt relieved. “Even if they arrive, they cannot do anything with us holding their Young Master’s life!”
“Yes, he will be out deterrent.”
With him holding Fang Xiushang, the punishers cannot do anything to attack them. That ans they will be safe on their whole travel to the Solstice Kingdom.
But aside from that, Fang Lin decided on one demand. He will demand the punishers to stay away from the Solstice Kingdom once he and his companions enter it. If they do that, Fang Lin will not hurt or even kill Fang Xiushang. He will then propose further negotiations to be done a day after he enters the Solstice Kingdom.
Fang Lin was sure that the punishers will have no choice but to comply with his demands. After all, even if Fang Lin was slightly being accepted back into the clan, Fang Xiushang’s status was more important than his.
Besides, his demands were fairly simple, and he will promise with his dao soul that he will take care Fang Xiushang’s well-being while he was a hostage.
With him putting his dao soul on the line, Fang Lin knew that the punishers will believe his demands. They will surely follow it, since it will be the most logical choice. Safety of Fang Xiushang was more important over capture of Fang Lin.
As for why he wanted them to wait a day before the negotiation in the Solstice Kingdom, Fang Lin had plans for this ti.
Since Ling Tian cannot know that Fang Lin has the stone fragnts once he enters the Solstice Kingdom, Fang Lin had to use another identity.
And that identity will be Fang Xiushang’s.
Well, he cannot just transform into Fang Xiushang now. He cannot allow the punishers to know about this transformation. As such, he will talk to them as Fang Lin, and he will just transform into Fang Xiushang when he enters the Solstice Kingdom.
But why Fang Xiushang?
First, Fang Lin had Fang Xiushang’s clothes, items and spirit ship. Fang Lin can just use it to cent his identity as Fang Xiushang in the Solstice Kingdom.
Second, he knew from Fang Yu’s mories that they were cooperating with the Fang Clan mbers in the Solstice Kingdom. With him using his status as Fang Xiushang, he can easily command them to follow his orders, like fighting the other fragnt holders. He knows they will not follow Fang Lin since they still look down on him. Only Fang Xiushang has the control over them.
Last is that if Fang Lin completes the stone fragnt, it will be Fang Xiushang that the other stone fragnt holders will bla first. It will be too late for them to discover that it was actually Fang Lin who got the stone fragnts. By that ti, Ling Tian’s blackmail will be useless since the Pan Gu Divine Tablet will be used up already.
Fang Lin sighed as he also realized that he had to find a way to deal with Ling Tian as soon as possible. His knowledge of Fang Lin’s bloodline was a ticking bomb. The earlier it can be defused the better.

Fang Lin knew that he can just use other identities on the Solstice Kingdom. But his pride wanted him to screw up Fang Xiushang big ti. Since he did not have the heart to kill or torture him, this can be the best punishnt for him.
He cackled loudly as his genius sche just got formulated.

Xue’er tilted her head as she said,
“That’s a villain’s laugh, right?”
