If it had just been him alone, it wouldn’t be such a problem, but the thought of getting so many people across the bridge hundreds of ters away left Lu Chen deep in thought.
Clearly, it was difficult.
"Use vines. We’ll send Wood Elent Superpower Users over and slide across using the vines," Jin Han suggested.
Su Mo also thought it was a good idea and turned to Lu Chen, "What do you think?"
"I’ll take you across too," he said seriously after evaluating the distance.
He didn’t want her to face even the slightest mishap on the bridge so far away; he wouldn’t allow it to happen.
A space fissure ford in front of him, stirring up a small gust of wind. Invisible ripples expanded before him, gradually tearing the space around them.
"Go!" Lu Chen bit his teeth hard, his facial muscles tensed, and he gave Su Mo a stern look as he commanded in a cold voice.
This was not the ti to be sentintal. She imdiately stepped into the space he’d torn open, alongside the Wood Elent Superpower User.
After a brief mont of weightlessness and a spinning view, Su Mo arrived on the other side of the bridge, where her companions appeared much smaller.
She turned her head and nodded to the Wood Elent Superpower User beside her. He scattered a handful of seeds, and the thick vines wound around the guardrail on one side, growing crazily towards the other side.
The Spiritual Superpower User also tily reported the situation below the water’s surface, "There are many Mutant Fish. It’s hard to judge whether they will attack or not."
Jin Han licked his gold tooth, "It’s all down to fate now."
Soon, the vines reached the other side. Su Mo stood close to the broken part of the bridge, always watching for any movent on the surface of the water.
In the inky water, ripple after ripple stirred, and with her astonishing vision, she could see Mutant Fish swimming just below the surface.
The heaviest among them, Jianxiong, was the first to slide over, partly to test the sturdiness of the vines. Su Mo was beside him to catch him, to prevent a collision with the jagged rocks.
Lu Chen brought up the rear, and in the anti, Jin Han’s people continued to slide over one after another.
However, things couldn’t go so smoothly.
There had to be a reason why the bridge had collapsed, such as the Mutated Fish beginning to surface.
The level of these creatures wasn’t high; even if they jumped out of the water, they couldn’t reach them. But to be safe, so superpower users kept releasing powers into the water, killing quite a number of Mutant Fish.
These fish floated belly-up on the water, their bodies covered in armor-like scales, beneath which strands of milky substances peeled off, oozing and floating on the surface, creating a nauseating contrast of black and white.
Staring at those fish, for no apparent reason, Su Mo’s heart began to race. She was all too aware of her instinct for danger and imdiately turned to the superpower users who had already co over and said, "Stop using your powers, don’t attack the fish anymore."
Although they didn’t understand why, they obediently followed Su Mo’s instructions.
The Spiritual Ability User thought there was a problem, activated his powers again to scan the water in detail. Unfortunately, given his limited level, he couldn’t detect any species besides the Mutant Fish.
Now only Lu Chen and Jin Han were left on the other side. The waters, which had already been rather restless, suddenly showed several green strands of what looked like aquarium plants sprouting out and dragging the corpses of the Mutant Fish back under.
This scene was witnessed by several people, and soone shouted.
"There’s sothing down there! It’s water plants!"
At that point, Su Mo also understood why her heart was pounding so hard. She imdiately zood in to observe the water’s surface; dozens of landscaping plants, like those kept in fish tanks, had erged.
Their bodies were thin and long, coiling around the mutated fish and dragging them down.
Without a doubt, these fish were their food, or maybe, they were food as well.
Su Mo imdiately looked up and shouted at Lu Chen and Jin Han, "Quick! Both of you, co over here!!"
Not to ntion whether the vines could support the weight of two people, Lu Chen and Jin Han were not light, but at the mont, everyone had noticed the abnormal situation in the water, and the two n did not dawdle and went ahead, one after another, grabbing onto the vines and climbing forward using their arm strength.
The vines constantly swayed in the air, with a broad span and bearing the weight of two adult n, along with so external factors, causing the vines tied to the railing to be pulled taut, looking like they could snap at any mont.
The Wood Elent Superpower User squatted beside the vines, continuously feeding his Wood Elent power into them.
With a broad span, even with their quick actions, it took ti.
Underwater, the seaweed attracted by the swarms of mutant fish was about to completely consu those corpses.
Su Mo, seeing the urgent situation, gave the command, "There’s no ti, those plants are going to surface, use superpowers! Use superpowers! All out attack on the water surface! We can’t let those weeds grow up!"
Everyone desperately smashed their superpowers down, praying that the two leaders in their team could get across faster.
The river’s waves, struck by the onslaught of abilities, ford pit after pit, which were then filled by the dark waters.
Swarms of seaweed, reaching out from the deep waters, grew en masse, creating massive green curtains, with each extrely thin strand of seaweed forming part of the cluster.
Su Mo could clearly see those green tips sharp as steel needles.
She cursed silently; those things had discovered the people on the bridge and the two n hanging in the air, and they attacked in unison.
"Don’t get stung!"
Lu Chen’s Ice Ability condensed into an Ice Shield, helping the two n fend off attacks from all around, but the relatively fragile vines beca sowhat precarious.
Su Mo noticed this and imdiately ran to the vines, squatted down, and her right hand transford into a thick branch, entwining the vine created by the Wood Elent Superpower User and rapidly extending it across.
It was her first ti using the Skill this way, but she controlled it extrely well.
Most of the sharp plants struck her transford right hand, but with her Level 6 Crystal Stone-powered hand, it wasn’t affected at all. She even controlled her branch to make it rougher, increasing the friction to prevent the two n from slipping and falling.
These waterweeds were too nurous; so many that they climbed up the broken bridge, carpeting it with green. From afar, it looked like a green carpet had been laid out.
Fire Ability Users stepped forward, hurling a large fireball to incinerate these plants.
This move was effective.
At least it held out until Lu Chen, carrying Jin Han, made it across.
Once the two were on the bridge, Su Mo restored her right hand to its original state, under Jin Han’s shocked gaze.
"Don’t space out, let’s deal with the imdiate trouble first."
Jianxiong had already gone full throttle, tearing through many of the waterweeds with his strength, but since their roots lay at the bottom of the water, it was as if the weeds above were inexhaustible, entwining around Jianxiong’s body, trying to drag him down.
Su Mo imdiately drew her sword to chop at them.
