Chapter 424: Chapter 423: The Large Cannibal Tribe

“What on earth is that!”

The alert that exploded next to everyone’s ears startled everyone.

Even the companions by Su Mo’s side were no exception. They had eaten many dishes prepared by Su Mo, but it was the first ti they had consud sothing that bestowed a superpower.

Su Mo herself seed very calm and, while fiddling with the thirteen-spice lobster, she stuffed it into Lu Chen’s mouth and showed off a bit, “What are you daydreaming about, is it delicious?”

The man ca back to his senses and bit her finger, “Delicious.”

Her fingertip was licked by a moist tongue, and Su Mo blushed, coughed lightly, and withdrew her hand. Indeed, in the art of seduction, she was always a step behind.

The two displayed their affection, while those nearby remained stuck in a daze for a long ti, unable to snap out of it.

Rong Bai only had a Gold Elent Superpower. He carefully felt a surge of energy erging once again from his abdon, channeling it to his palm, and a fireball appeared out of nowhere, “It’s real!”

His voice changed pitch; even his typically composed and steady tone suddenly rose by several degrees.

Su Mo had not lingered long on the moist sensation at her fingertips when she began to feel uncomfortable under the burning gazes of the crowd, “Why are you all staring at ?”

“How did you… do it?” Feng Yao looked as fierce as Jianxiong, and at that mont, he was so surprised he could barely hold onto his lobster.

Su Mo took a sip of milk and said calmly, “I don’t know.”

Li Qian was sowhat surprised by Su Mo’s actions, but at the sa ti, it seed to be within expectations.

Although she had received an empty response, everyone in the room looked at her with intense interest. As the bride beca the belle of the ball, Lu Chen grew displeased, and his large hand landed directly on her thigh, proclaiming his dominion.

Su Mo had never intended to keep it a secret anyway; she now had sufficient capital and ability to defend her companions. Of course, what she hoped most was to build a powerful team that belonged entirely to herself.

Enough trust for enough reward.

No one could threaten her and the people she cared about.

In that small cabin, there was Rong Bai, a military man by birthright, straightforward and unrestrained Jin Han, and Feng Yao, who had absolute power.

These people were worthy of joining Su Mo in the struggle.

“What do you think about opening a restaurant here?” Su Mo cleaned her greasy hands and said cheerily.

“Do you intend to share all these abilities?” Zhao Changsheng was sowhat incredulous.

“Attract superpower users, turn P City’s refugee camp into P City base, how about that?”

Su Mo’s bold statent resonated with everyone present, including Lu Chen. He didn’t know that his woman had such grand ambitions. But it did sound like a very good idea.

He turned his gaze to Ling Ye, who was only a little taller than the table. If he could train him personally…

“You want to expand and build a base here?” Rong Bai was excited but then quickly beca dejected, “No, it won’t work here.”

Not just Su Mo, everyone beca curious and looked at him with puzzled eyes, coming out of their previous mood.

Li Qian asked softly, “Why?”

The table full of lobsters suddenly seed less appealing, and the good mood inexplicably began to fade.

Rong Bai took a sip of beer and said, “Gucheng City, do you know about it?”

Su Mo nodded, “Yes, we heard the broadcast on the radio on the way here, but then the batteries died.”

“Although Gucheng City is far from P City, it was just recently overrun by the zombie horde—just before you arrived—I heard that on a scavenged radio,” Rong Bai said with closed eyes, taking a big swig of alcohol. Between the influenza and worrying about the zombies, he hadn’t had a clue for several days.

He sighed. “It’s like it’s intentional. Why does the zombie migration always seem to encounter refuges? I feel the B City base is experiencing the sa thing.”

This conversation successfully sank the mood even further.

There was a growing sense of foreboding in Su Mo’s heart. “Intentional?”

The na Yang Yichu popped into her mind instantly.

She turned to look at Lu Chen, a hint of shock and doubt in her eyes.

The man’s face was cold. “Without seeing for ourselves, we can’t jump to conclusions.”

Seeing the mood turning sour, Rong Bai knew it wasn’t good to linger on the topic. He lifted his beer high, “Why panic? It’s just speculation. They might not find us. Co on, cheers!”

The atmosphere gradually ward up, but it never returned to what it had been before. However, nobody was willing to waste the table full of lobsters.

The several pots of lobsters were completely devoured by everyone. Especially the spicy crayfish with its lingering sensation, each person had temporarily gained fire ability users, albeit only for 48 hours. But in the future, if they could get a taste now and then, it might just save their life at a crucial mont.

That was on everyone’s mind as they gradually shifted from being enthusiastic to having a protective urge toward Su Mo.

After dinner, Feng Yao had a few brothers help Su Mo clean up the table.

Rong Bai was the last to leave.

The fragrance in the living room lingered for a long ti.

Lu Chen sat on the couch. “Talk about the flu situation; we already know about it.”

Rong Bai said, “Actually, it isn’t too serious. But we lack antibiotics, ibuprofen, and compound paracetamol and amantadine tablets.”

Su Mo sat next to Lu Chen, her fingers moving through the air.

Rong Bai, puzzled at the emptiness in front of her, asked, “Sister-in-law, what are you sketching out there?”

She had turned the marketplace upside down and hadn’t seen any dicine that could cure diseases, not even a recipe that resembled antibiotics was available. It seed, similar to the tea leaves, it was a matter of luck.

Su Mo couldn’t help feeling disappointed. “Is there a drugstore nearby where we can scavenge these dicines?”

Seeing her expression, Lu Chen knew the situation was beyond help; they would probably have to go out and lend a hand themselves.

Rong Bai replied, “There is indeed one, but it’s not within my territory.”

As he said this, his expression turned sowhat gloomy as if recalling a bad mory.

Zhao Changsheng was intrigued and, crossing his legs, asked Rong Bai, “Is it that the zombies are dense there?”

Rong Bai bitterly laughed, “If they were dense, I wouldn’t have chosen this place. That area is guarded by another group, including the P City No. 1 People’s Hospital.”

Li Qian touched his nose, speaking softly, “Then it’s simple, we can exchange items of equal value.”

“It’s not possible, they’re cannibals with no sense of reason, and they’ve already ford an organization. Inside, they have so strong superpower users,” Rong Bai frowned, accepting the tea that Jianxiong handed him. “P City’s resources can be considered very scarce. Sotis, I have to lead people to even more distant places to bring back food. Also, since this is not a mountainous area, surrounded by towns and the P River, we can’t consu the mutated fish, and mutant beasts are so few it’s pitiful.”

“So, while it’s safe, there’s also the danger of famine, which leads to the problem of cannibalism.”

Su Mo pursed her lips, not knowing what to say for a mont.
