332: Chapter 331: Li Ming’s Invitation 332: Chapter 331: Li Ming’s Invitation Su Mo felt a sense of urgency as she heard the news and quickly pulled Jiang Yulian toward the house.

“What happened?”

“Not long after you left, he started sleeping.

At first, I thought he was just tired and didn’t pay it much mind, but when I tried to wake him up at noon, I couldn’t rouse him,” Jiang Yulian nearly couldn’t keep up with Su Mo’s pace.

“Don’t be too anxious, though.

I checked the child’s breath, and he is just sleeping, similar to hibernation.”

The group hurried back to the house.

Su Mo let go of Jiang Yulian and entered the children’s room.

On the bed, Ling Ye lay quietly under the blanket, and upon closer inspection, one could see the slight rise and fall of his chest.

Su Mo sat by the bed, shook his thin shoulders a few tis, and called out, “Ling Ye?

Ling Ye!

Ti to wake up!”

There was no response.

Lu Chen pulled Su Mo up, “Don’t panic, let take a look.”

He took her place at the bedside, lifted the child out of the blankets, and after stripping him and checking him over from head to toe, confird, “He’s asleep.”

Zhao Changsheng leaned against the door fra and said, “Is the kid going to fall into a sleep if he doesn’t consu the Crystal Stone from the superpower?”

“With the current situation outside, we can’t enter G city center to search for the superpower,” Li Qian adjusted his glasses, which had slipped due to the hasty walk, and calmly analyzed.

“Exactly, if that little zombie ca for Momo, us going out again would be suicide,” Zhao Changsheng nodded in agreent.

The most critical point was that the four of them couldn’t deal with the superpower.

Now with Ling Ye in hibernation, the situation was even more troubleso.

Su Mo stood by the bed and along with Lu Chen dressed Ling Ye and tucked him back into the blankets, “What do we do?

If he continues to hibernate, he’ll starve.”

Without dical equipnt at hand, if they let him continue to sleep like this, they would need a supply of nutrition injections, otherwise how could a child hold out until that mont?

Lu Chen held her hand, “We should leave as soon as possible.”

He was not only worried about Ling Ye, but the appearance of Yang Yichu also gave him a great sense of crisis.

Jiang Yulian went upstairs and brought down the child who was still asleep, and asked, “Do you have enough to trade with them after your trip outside?”

“Hmm, more or less,” Li Qian nodded.

After securing Ling Ye’s blankets, Su Mo said, “Li Ming wants us to listen to sothing tonight?”

Lu Chen replied, “Radio.”

“Radio?” Su Mo was puzzled.

Lu Chen stood up and looked toward the window where won occasionally passed by.

“Have you seen anyone from the border in the two days we’ve been here?”

All four of them, including Su Mo, shook their heads in unison.

Li Qian spoke up, “The population here isn’t actually that large.”

“It’s because everyone is at the border,” Lu Chen said flatly.

“They must have set up a channel to communicate with the people at the border.”

“So, he ca to invite us to listen to this?” Su Mo bit her lip, a sense of foreboding growing in her heart.

Lu Chen gently ruffled her hair, “It’s just a guess, may not be the case.”

Su Mo looked down at Ling Ye, “No matter what, this child can’t have an accident, we must find the superpower for him to consu.”

Thinking of Yang Yichu still frantically searching outside, her mood turned somber—going out was now a problem.

Why, why did it have to be zombies?

She really would have preferred it if the child had died in the shipwreck.

A silence fell over the room until Jiang Zhuoyang awoke with a burp, and right on cue, Jiang Yulian suggested, “Why don’t you go have sothing to eat?

You must be hungry after being outside all day.”

Su Mo nodded, pushing all her thoughts aside for the mont, “Let’s go eat sothing.”

It was still the dishes stored in the Space; Su Mo ate her rice ball and fish in silence until Li Qian finally spoke up.

“After coming back tonight, we need to make plans earlier,”

Everyone agreed on scheduling everything sooner rather than later.

There, Li Yun was having dinner with his wife and daughter when Li Ming burst into the room.

He patiently waited until he finished feeding her flesh and blood and had gone down from the attic before he started talking about what had happened that afternoon.

Li Ming sighed in annoyance, “So we were unable to check the situation at the border, but I guess it wasn’t good.”

The first thing Li Yun thought of after hearing the story was the oil.

Li Ming said, “There’s still so in his Space, not taken out yet.”

Li Yun nodded, then pondered for a while, “A woman who can communicate with zombies?

Are you sure?”

Li Ming said gravely, “I’m not joking about this, it’s true.

Since the mont we were surrounded by zombie dogs on our way to the Refining Factory to pick them up, I had so doubts, but today was the first ti I saw a talking zombie.

Do you know what it called her?”

“What?”

If he hadn’t misheard…

He licked his lips, recalling the words of that zombie, “Sister, it called her Sister.”

A light burst in Li Yun’s eyes as he gripped Li Ming’s shoulders, his usually gentle voice tinged with excitent, “Speak?

You’re saying, it could speak?!”

“It might have evolved.

That zombie possesses a very high level of intelligence.”

Li Yun looked up at the ceiling, his hands on his brother’s quivering slightly, “If we could retrieve that zombie’s Crystal Stone…”

Li Ming noticed sothing off about Li Yun and grabbed his black gloved hand on his shoulder, saying earnestly, “Brother, I know you feel guilty about sister-in-law, but don’t do anything foolish; that thing is not simple.”

His brother was usually exceptionally calm and collected, but he lost all sense of proportion when it ca to his wife and daughter.

“Aming, it’s been a long ti since I’ve talked to your sister-in-law,” Li Yun let go and his hands fell to his side, his eyes filled with wistfulness.

If he fed her the Crystal Stone, would she…

“No matter what, sister-in-law’s existence must not be discovered.

You should be clear on this,” Li Ming said in a low voice, his concern apparent.

He glanced towards the dark night outside, feeling a sense of urgency, “I have to go back now; Lu Chen and his group will be looking for soon.”

Li Yun: “I understand.

Their superpowers are very useful.

Observe them for a while, don’t let them leave yet.”

“Of course.”

Over here, after having their fill, Su Mo went to the room again to confirm Ling Ye showed no signs of waking up.

After asking Jiang Yulian to help take care of her, the four of them left the house again.

Today, the path outside was unusually quiet, all the doors tightly closed.

They arrived at Li Ming’s door as agreed, his house’s layout similar to where Su Mo and the others lived.

Lu Chen walked up to the entrance and knocked on the door, and after so noise inside, it was opened.

Li Ming’s hand still held a bowl of sothing indistinct, a syringe inserted in it.

“Please co in.”

Su Mo glanced at the syringe, which still had half of its contents inside.

She knew this was only used for soone bedridden, without the ability to eat, injected directly into the stomach.

They tactfully did not ask more questions.

Li Ming drew up a syringe full of the mixture, then placed the bowl on the dining table and headed upstairs, “Wait for a mont, my wife hasn’t had her dinner yet.”

Lu Chen: “No rush.”

Once Li Ming had gone up the wooden stairs, Zhao Changsheng whispered from behind Su Mo, “His wife is paralyzed?”

“Probably, needing food to be injected into her stomach,” Su Mo replied softly.
