184: Chapter 182: Arrival 184: Chapter 182: Arrival His eyes held a nearly pathological craving for this woman’s blood, which he inexplicably adored.

He loved to see her bleed; the sight of blood blossoming on her fair skin must be incredibly beautiful.

Su Mo was completely unaware that she was being targeted.

Her entire focus was on the Tang Blade and the zombies.

The sharpness the Tang Blade brought was almost divine; a re flick would split a zombie’s head into two.

Cutting iron as if it were mud would be an understatent.

She moved nimbly among the horde of zombies, her blade rising and falling swiftly.

A thick aty tail suddenly lashed toward her from the front.

Su Mo’s predictive abilities automatically kicked in, allowing her to dodge the tail with ease.

It was the Level 2 ntal Zombie she had encountered before.

This ti, she didn’t struggle as she had before.

Su Mo could predict every attack of the aty tail in advance.

She predicted where the tail would strike next and unexpectedly swung her Tang Blade down hard.

The fleshy tail was easily severed; a ntal Zombie without its tail, thus losing half its attacking power, had its head severed by Su Mo.

Everyone in their convoy was at least a Level 2 superpower user, and the soldiers’ marksmanship was on par with snipers.

The combination of their offensive and auxiliary abilities was seamless.

Of course, this was also the result of Lu Chen’s training for over a month.

Su Mo was killing so freely amidst the zombie horde that her Tang Blade, soaked in a large amount of blood, was stained black-red.

She seed possessed, her slashing speed increasing by the mont.

Not enough, still not enough…

Her eyes were tinged with blood, this abnormal state catching Lu Chen’s attention.

He moved closer to Su Mo, calling out in a low voice, “Su Mo!”

She acted as if she couldn’t hear him, relentlessly slashing at every moving object around her.

Several tis, her chaotic entries nearly resulted in soldiers’ bullets hitting her.

Lu Chen conjured up a massive Ice Shield, placing it directly in front of Su Mo.

She struck the Ice Shield with her blade until cracks appeared, and only when Lu Chen’s face appeared behind the breaking ice did she snap back to reality.

“Lu Chen…” She lowered her blade, the blood receding from her eyes, her expression clearing.

What had she just been doing…

She stared at the black-red blade in her hand, lost in thought.

Lu Chen pulled her back into the vehicle, his voice filled with uncontrollable anger, “What were you just doing!”

Su Mo looked up at him, her expression confused.

She threw the blade back into her Space and silently embraced him, “I’m sorry, I got too excited killing.”

She still needed so ti to understand the oddities of this blade; she had even shattered Lu Chen’s Level 4 Ice Shield with a single strike.

How strange.

This teorite, with its ability to bewitch, had made her lose control.

Her mind filled only with the word “slaughter,” which wasn’t a good thing.

Lu Chen sighed, feeling helpless as she easily apologized.

He touched her head, for the first ti harboring the thought of imprisoning soone.

That way, he would no longer have to worry and fear.

The convoy set off again.

The whole skirmish with the small wave of zombies lasted just over ten minutes.

Su Mo adjusted her ntal state in his embrace before stepping out, “How much longer until we reach our destination?”

Jianxiong replied, “Before sunset.”

Su Mo nodded her head.

After entering Tanghai City, she could already feel the distinct scent of the seaside in the air.

The entire city was backed by a vast sea, and Su Mo could faintly hear the whoosh of waves crashing against the rocks.

Since entering Haitang City, the number of zombies had beco very scattered.

There was support here, and most streets had been cleared without incident; Lu Jin’s convoy had split from them upon entering the city, evidently having their own reception awaiting.

A remote-controlled drone descended to the front of their vehicle, kicking up a dust cloud.

A cold electronic voice emitted from the speaker tied to its leg:

“Admiral Lu, we have prepared a ship and a place for you to rest tonight.

Please follow .”

With Lu Chen’s permission, the drone flew ahead leading the convoy.

They navigated through winding streets.

The sound of the waves beca clearer, and the pitch-black sea appeared before everyone’s eyes.

Su Mo couldn’t help but lean forward in the car.

Seeing her interest, Jianxiong opened all the windows, and salty, moist sea air rushed into their nostrils.

There was also an endless, ink-black horizon.

“Even the sea has been polluted,” Su Mo muttered.

Besides the azure sky that remained unchanged, everything else had altered.

Su Mo sat back in her seat, conflicted: “It won’t be easy to safely reach Southern Island across this black sea.”

Lu Chen squeezed her hand: “I’m here.”

Su Mo gave a slight smile: “I know.”

Jianxiong tried his best to ignore the pink bubbles popping up from the back seat.

Regarding his boss’s increasingly adept flirtation skills, he could only say that in so areas, n really did not need a teacher.

Under the drone’s guidance, the convoy arrived next to a tall building by the seaside.

There were quite a few vehicles parked outside.

Around the building was a tall electrified fence with a line of ard individuals standing inside.

Su Mo watched carefully and realized that these people lacked the distinctive aura of military personnel; their attire…

more closely resembled fishern.

The tal fence was pulled open, and Jianxiong drove the team to stop on the vast space in front of the building.

Lu Chen stepped out of the car.

The leader opposite him had dark skin and wore a tattered straw hat, his face weather-beaten.

His small yet shrewd eyes scanned them, and, holding a faxed photograph in his calloused hands, he compared it briefly before grinning, revealing yellowed teeth:

“We’ve been waiting for you for three days now.

Please, follow .”

Lu Chen nodded, and everyone followed the group of fisherman-dressed individuals into the building.

This place was originally a seaside resort, now repurposed by these people as a shelter post-apocalypse.

The leader introduced himself as they ascended: “I’m the head fisherman here, my na is Bao Yao.

You can call Ah Bao.”

Su Mo felt soone watching her; turning around, she saw a little boy hastily hiding under the stairs.

She didn’t think much of it and turned back around.

The soldiers following behind were settled on the second floor, while Lu Chen and his two companions continued upstairs.

The third floor had a conference room, where Ah Bao led them in.

An elderly, thin man was already waiting inside.

Su Mo asked, “Who is this?”

“This is the new person leading you to Southern Island tomorrow; the last one, as you know, never returned,” Ah Bao said nonchalantly.

Su Mo instantly understood.

Whenever Jiang Residence was in need, these people would send a fisherman to guide them to Southern Island.
