169: Chapter 166: Buying dicine 169: Chapter 166: Buying dicine Su Mo now did not know whether to call this woman foolish or desperately seeking death.

She did not offer a reminder, rely saying, “The debt will be paid in full within six months; from today onward, we will have nothing to do with each other, how about that?”

Mrs.

Su glanced at Su Huaguang and, after hesitating upon receiving his rejecting gaze, still nodded: “Deal.”

Su Mo tugged at Lu Chen’s hand: “Let’s send them off.”

The man nodded.

On the modified vehicle parked outside, Su Mo loaded a few bags of rice, not many, just enough for half a year.

Mrs.

Su and Su Huaguang were drooling over the dazzling bags of rice.

Mrs.

Su felt secretly delighted, while Su Huaguang tugged her aside and whispered in her ear, “You stupid woman, what are we going to do when we’ve eaten all this?”

Mrs.

Su, on the other hand, was indifferent and retorted: “Are you dumb?

As long as she’s at the base, we have ways to make her provide for us.”

Satisfied, Su Huaguang boarded the military vehicle.

For a handful of rice in exchange for a hand and a mother’s wailing, he was overjoyed.

Su Mo, whose hearing was extraordinarily sharp, had already overheard the couple’s conversation.

She pursed her lips, only hoping that these two would not co to regret their actions in the future.

The couple and the rice were dropped off at the entrance to the Outer Ring.

The vehicle couldn’t enter, so Lu Chen simply dumped the bags of rice on the roadside and decisively left with Su Mo.

Lu Chen glanced in the rearview mirror at the two figures carrying off the rice: “In three days, they’ll be hungry.”

Su Mo opened the window, letting the evening breeze blow against her face: “I know, but I gave them a chance.

They just didn’t want it.”

Actually, according to her offer to deliver food every three days, she was indirectly providing shelter for Su Huaguang and his wife.

Sadly, these two were as foolish as donkeys.

Her, Su Mo’s, belongings were never that easy to take.

Back at the villa, she soaked in a hot bath, and seeing her washing her hair, Lu Chen got the urge to dry it for her.

Su Mo, to avoid him using the back of his own hand to shield her from the hot air, personally demonstrated how to blow-dry a girl’s hair for him.

His learning speed was astonishing.

His second attempt at blow-drying was quite a success.

Lu Chen kissed the top of her head, then picked her up and headed for the bed…

The next morning, the bed was empty, and Su Mo climbed out feeling sullen.

She went back to the bathroom to look at the kiss marks covering her body and couldn’t help but sigh.

There was a response, but he didn’t want her.

Apart from the possibility that the annoying man truly had so problem, she had no other explanation.

Listlessly finishing brushing her teeth, she opened up the marketplace to look for nourishing recipes for n.

There were no nourishing recipes…

But there were many of these indescribable conditions.

She silently noted down these pricey recipes, promising herself to bring back bull’s pizzle if she ever encountered a Mutant Bull.

After washing up and heading out, Su Niang had already prepared breakfast downstairs.

She used flour to make stead buns, fried pork slices to stuff inside them, and served it with porridge in generous portions.

Slling the delicious aroma, Su Mo descended the stairs: “Su Niang, you’re up early.

They’re still asleep.”

Su Niang looked sowhat anxious.

She put down what she was doing and walked up to Su Mo: “Ling Ye has a fever, Miss Su.”

Su Mo was startled and imdiately turned towards Su Niang’s room.

The little boy was buried under the blankets, sweating profusely.

She reached out to touch him and felt a burning heat in the palm of her hand.

Without delay, she left the room and went downstairs: “Where’s Lu Chen?”

“First thing this morning, people from the Jiang Residence called for him,” lanted Su Niang, blaming herself.

“I shouldn’t have bathed him last night.”

“It’s okay, it’s okay, I’ll go get so dicine and be right back,” Su Mo consoled her.

“It’s inevitable for a child to get sick when you’re raising one.”

Li Qian, alerted by the commotion downstairs, ca out properly dressed: “I’ll drive you there.”

Su Mo nodded and left with Li Qian right away, making sure to take her Identity Card before departing.

Li Qian drove into the Second Ring, which, aside from the superpower users’ residential area, was filled with nurous shops for superpower users to entertain themselves.

He parked the car and went in with Su Mo.

The shops here were different from the street stalls Su Mo had seen that day; they were exquisitely decorated, with big restaurants, beauty salons, and even a gun sales area.

Of course, there were also pharmacies, but two fierce-looking brawny n stood guard outside.

Huichun Hall.

After presenting her Identity Card, Su Mo entered smoothly with Li Qian.

“What can I help you with?” greeted a well-dressed and attractive waiter.

“Fever dicine,” Su Mo said as she glanced around at the antique-styled interior, her peripheral vision catching a tall, upright figure on the second floor.

It was Lu Jin, whose narrow black eyes t hers.

She nodded to acknowledge him, then retracted her gaze and stopped looking around.

“How many pills would you like to purchase?” the waiter asked, taking out two boxes of dicine from behind the counter.

“I’ll take both boxes,” Su Mo said, handing over her card, but a faint male voice interjected from behind her:

“Put it on my tab.”

With the wooden sound of leather boots descending the stairs, Lu Jin approached Su Mo.

He was very tall, and she had to look up to him: “No need, I can afford it.”

Lu Jin, refusing to let her decline, passed a black card with gold trimming: “Consider it a slight apology from the Lu Family for Miss Su’s unwarranted behavior.”

The waiter quickly grabbed the black card with both hands, processed the two boxes of dicine, and handed them to Su Mo: “Miss, please take your dicine.”

Su Mo was speechless.

If it’s free, why not take it?

She accepted the two boxes: “Then, thank you.”

Lu Jin glanced at Li Qian standing behind her, the corners of his mouth curling into a thin smile before he turned and left.

Bai Ling was pretending to shop, followed by two n.

Her eyes wandered everywhere, imdiately fixing on the tall and handso man.

Suddenly feigning panic, she rushed toward Lu Jin.

The woman’s frail shoulders crashed into the man’s embrace.

Lu Jin looked down, his palm suddenly tightening; the vicious look in his eyes faded as the girl looked up at him: “Are you alright, miss?”

Bai Ling internally felt like she had hit the jackpot; such an impressively handso man.

She trembled and pleaded: “Save , I’m a Dual Ability User with both Space and Wood Elents, please save .”

“Alright,” Lu Jin complied very obligingly, drawing her into his arms, excitent in his eyes.

He hadn’t expected that a simple outing would present him with a new addition to his hidden chamber; truly an unexpected joy.

The short, pudgy n who had followed looked at each other and, upon eting the man’s dark and ferocious gaze, scampered off in unison.

Su Mo witnessed everything from a distance, but she didn’t interfere, only noticing that Lu Jin was holding a black bag.

Was the son of the Lu Family personally out to pick up dicine?

But it was none of her business anyway.

Only after he and his company had completely disappeared from view did Li Qian speak: “That guy just now was very strong.”

His Level 3 superpower had completely identified the other’s level.

Su Mo nodded in agreent: “He can directly swap his position with soone else’s, what kind of superpower is that?”

She had been mixed up in the apocalypse for so long and had never seen anything like it.

As Li Qian walked and pondered, he finally ca up with an ambiguous answer: “It might be a Level 4 Space superpower, or even higher.”
