144: Chapter 141: Promotion 144: Chapter 141: Promotion Bai Ling scattered the seeds, but the weak vines that sprouted were imdiately flattened to the ground under Admiral Rong’s oppressive level, unable to even crawl.

She kept retreating and shouted in desperation, “He’s just an ordinary person, I just let him die for !

What’s so wrong with that!”

Listening to her, Admiral Rong grew even angrier.

He was like a lion provoked, his hand shining with a golden light as he directly grabbed Bai Ling and punched her in the stomach.

“Don’t!” She cried out in pain, flew back several ters, and instantly passed out from the agony.

A few soldiers stepped forward and picked up the woman from the ground, asking, “Admiral Rong, how should we deal with this person?”

Su Mo saw three people watching from a distance and thought of a good idea, “Go find her forr teammates from the ordinary convoy, wouldn’t it be good to send her over to them?”

Admiral Rong made the decision imdiately, his voice harsh, “Just do that.”

When the surviving trio of Shorty, Fatty, and Skinny received this unwelco gift of Bai Ling, they didn’t even care that she was still unconscious, just grabbed one of her legs and dragged her into the bushes nearby.

Admiral Rong, no longer in the mood to talk with Lu Chen, turned and walked away, feeling gloomy.

The night fell, and the tents were all set up.

After Su Mo and Lu Chen cleaned themselves up, they also gave Jianxiong and the others so ice and water to wash off the stench, and Zhao Changsheng handed over all the Spider Crystal Cores he had collected.

Su Mo huddled in the tent and took out the Crystal Stones harvested along the way, ranging from Level 2 to Level 3, amounting to about a thousand pieces.

Most of them were regular Crystal Stones from Level 2 zombies, which the team had fought together.

She divided the few dozen Level 3 Spider Crystal Stones she had hunted today into five parts.

After keeping two parts for herself and Lu Chen, she distributed the rest to Jianxiong and the others.

When Su Mo delivered them, she specifically gave Li Qian the Crystal Cores from the Tail-at Zombie they had killed last ti, as the energy inside was closer to spiritual power; Li Qian graciously accepted them.

When it ca to Jianxiong and Zhao Changsheng, neither were keen to accept.

“If you give all the Crystal Stones you hunted to , what will you use to level up?” She helplessly placed the Crystal Stones in front of the two n, “We can’t always stay at Level 2, we need to catch up with Lu Chen’s pace, don’t we?”

She made a compelling argunt, and the two n had no choice but to accept.

Su Mo returned to her tent, and soone from Admiral Rong’s place ca to invite Lu Chen for a discussion.

She chose not to follow.

After Lu Chen left, she crawled back into the tent, picked up the Level 3 Spider Crystal Stones belonging to her, placed them in her palm, closed her eyes, and felt the fluctuations of the energy group in her belly.

The Level 3 effect was very potent, the already nearly full energy group grew crazily, breaking through the critical point.

When Lu Chen ca in, Zhang Jun was just standing up to leave the tent, and he greeted him before being escorted away by soldiers.

“We lost nearly three hundred people,” Admiral Rong pinched the bridge of his nose, sitting inside the tent, deeply upset by the significant loss of his brothers.

He sat down and glanced at the upcoming travel route, spoke faintly, “As you wished, we’re nearly there.”

“I know, what do you plan to do when we get to City B?

We are not clear about the situation there,” Admiral Rong sighed and poured him a glass of water.

His taking this risk to venture out was also out of necessity; a sudden black rain had disrupted all his arrangents, forcing him to seek refuge at the Base of City B.

“First, to et with the Jiang Residence,” Lu Chen took a sip from the cup, as Jiang Yulian was always a lingering concern for him.

“Do you plan to take your sister-in-law back?” Admiral Rong asked, staring at the slowly rising steam.

Lu Chen gave him a stern look, heavy with warning.

He knew that Su Mo held an imasurable place in his brother’s heart.

Receiving that look, Admiral Rong dropped the topic and spoke seriously to him:

“You’re not unaware of the Lu Family’s thods.

They were able to build a base right after the black rain, there must be sothing going on.

Besides, would Elder Jiang allow you to keep her?”

“When it cos to my affairs, no one else should think of interfering.

When necessary, I will settle both old and new scores together,” Lu Chen’s face was buried in shadows, and the vibrant killing intent emanating from him was daunting.

Rong Bai stopped speaking, he sighed and patted Lu Chen’s shoulder, “I don’t want you getting involved with the Lu Family, but when necessary, Li Chuan is a chess piece that can be used.”

“I’m leaving,” Lu Chen stood up, ready to push aside the tent flap and walk out.

“Here,” Rong Bai threw a small pouch to him from behind, “Spider Crystal Stone, it’s what you and your sister-in-law deserve.”

Although he didn’t know what thods they had used to blast a path through the spiders, Rong Bai was not one to forget a kindness.

Lu Chen didn’t bother with pleasantries, he caught the flying pouch precisely without looking back, and left by pulling the curtain aside.

After Su Mo had consud her share of Crystal Stones, she had entered a wondrous state.

A golden light radiated around her, and she floated in the air, the energy group inside her gradually expanding.

The light shone through the tent, illuminating the surrounding area.

Jianxiong hadn’t eaten the Crystal Stone yet and was preparing to co out of the tent.

Beside him, Li Qian remained in his original position, motionless, surrounded by a green elental glow, clearly having leveled up.

“Damn, one after the other they all level up,” he lost the intention to go outside and started consuming the Crystal Stone again.

In a tent with Su Niang and Ling Ye, Zhao Changsheng had consud all the Crystal Stones but showed no signs of leveling up, which made her sowhat depressed.

When Lu Chen arrived, he saw the light inside his own tent and did not go in to disturb her, instead standing outside like a pillar.

Bai Ling, finally stirring awake on the grass, felt a sharp, stabbing pain in her abdon.

Just as she woke up, she was yanked up by her hair by Fatty who was beside her, her body bare, with the sound of a man’s crazy insults near her ear:

“Stupid bitch, after all that running around, you still ended up in our hands,”

“We fed you well, and you still hard our brother,”

“Look at this pitiful look, let take good care of you,”

To prevent sudden zombie attacks, the three had placed a flashlight nearby.

Bai Ling had superpowers; they tied her hands and pinned her to the ground, taking turns attacking her.

She struggled desperately, gazing at the tent in the distance shining with golden light, the gaze of that god-like man sweeping coldly over her.

“Save …” she murmured, then raised her voice, “Save !”

The three n assaulting her felt a wave of fear when they saw Lu Chen in the distance, but when the golden light inside the tent dispersed and the man’s unemotional gaze turned, he shifted his attention away, staring intently at the petite girl coming out of the tent.

The short, stout, and thin trio breathed a sigh of relief, and derogatory words kept spilling out non-stop.

“Both being Dual Ability users, how co you’re so lousy?”

Bai Ling turned her head back in disgust at them, “You bunch of trash,”

The three n, infuriated, beca even more aggressive, and Fatty slapped her face, “He’s worthy of an Admiral, and you only deserve us trash.”

She collapsed back onto the grass, the pain below excruciating.

She desperately turned to look at Lu Chen, but the man had already treated her as air, not sparing her a single glance.
