"Her system self destructed along with her...."
.....
'Be more mature Marcus, you are 18!!'
Marcus thought to himself as he held his jaw from falling off from its place.
'What else did you expect when you accepted to beco the guardian of the planet?'
'My heart says this is just the beginning'
'The beginning to sothing insane'
'Even if it makes no sense'
'I must accept the truth and go with the flow'
....
'But... self destruct? Why did she self-destruct?'
"But... why did she self destruct?"
His thoughts now revamped to words, leaked out of his mouth as a question to the look-alike system who had just told him stuff... things that would've made zero sense if it wasn't for Marcus and his expectations of the aftermaths of being a Guardian.
"Her system was victimized to self destruct Marcus. Things escalated to that extent for the system because its user went mad..."
"She went mad? Why did she...."
"She went mad because the trauma got the better of her"
"....."
"As I said before, The system has an extent to which they are allowed to refrain... We are forbidden to restrain minor or unwarranted mories"
"And at the sa ti, we are not at all permitted to turn a blind eye to sothing extrely montous that could cause the user trouble even if it doesn't hurt us"
"But that is stupid!!. Of course, you CAN'T turn a blind eye to anything!!. A system is nothing without the user!"
Marcus's developed voice chid between the system's explanation.
"That's not... exactly true..."
The system's reply stamred to his query.
"What do you an? There's no way a system can exist without a user. A system is deed to be an entity that relies on its host and co-exist with them."
"But Marcus, let ask you one thing. Have you ever beheld a system like ? Who has an independent identity to think and process what it needs to?'
"... No... A system like you? It was never marked down in books. Your entire existence is a fantasy to the world."
"Exactly, that is why we can exist even without a human user"
".......It still doesn't make sense to system..."
"We can leech onto inanimate as well as abiotic organisms... Hah... we can exist freely in the atmosphere without concern for a whole year!"
"Whoever created us, needed us to survive... even more than humans..."
"For your knowledge, we are eternal. We can't be razed unless we destruct ourselves or our developer exterminates our kind"
"Developer??... Then wouldn't it be better if you survived like that? By possessing an inanimate object?"
Marcus asked.
"Yes Developer, everything in this world must have an origin right? and No Marcus, even though you are correct that we could live eternally inside an inanimate object, it contradicts the principle and the sole purpose to why we were created"
".........."
"And that's to help humans"
Marcus's lips arched down. They cornered at its verge. His heart was vague and it felt unsatisfied. Why?. He had never thought why systems originated in the first place. It never found his attention because it was not entailed in his academics.
It hit him now, why in the first place were dungeons created?. How did they even appear?. Were demons just created to destroy humanity? Or did their origin carry any other objective?.
Couldn't humans live on their own?. Why were they given powers?. Couldn't they exist mutually? Like Fielddust's who didn't have any powers??.
Does God exist?. Then who is he?. Are the people in the higher realm the true gods? or are they just people claiming to be Gods?.
It was an eye opener for Marcus. It was as if he had stepped onto the realm of mystery.
But here on the other flank, the system still hadn't finished its words.
"Marcus... The system is only allowed to change users if they die and the first user every system has is supposedly... a human. On the other hand, the system can kill the user as well but it cos with the prize of one's destruction."
"Which ans you can..."
"Which ans I can kill you"
Marcus gasped as he heard his system speak.
"But don't you worry, I don't have any intention to do so... and I simply can't kill you out of the blue. We were given this power just for the sake of others."
"......"
"Do you understand Marcus?. I am only allowed to kill you if you lose control of yourself, like her who was once a guardian."
"........."
"You know it well yourself Marcus... I understand that you realize the power you hold is disastrous. You could eradicate galaxies if you lose control and run amok."
"That is the only reason we are allowed to kill the user. But I'll have to kill first to kill you and I can do that with my 'Self Destruct' option"
"I understand. But we are still in the grey here... what caused her to run amok in the first place? You said that she went through this thing... this restrained mory of her. But what happened next?"
Marcus raised a question, his heart was up in his throat as he turned back to his system, ignoring the weeping boy. The boy and his origins were not of any interest to him now.
"The System had no choice but to unleash the restrained mory on her because her sanity forced it to do so... sothing during her ti... or soone compelled her ntality to coerce her system, to open the chained mories and those restrained mories were highly traumatic..."
"Which provoked her to go crazy..."
Marcus finalized the phrases the system wished to say.
"That is true... Yes"
"So that ans Raka did sothing that forced you to open my restrained mories?"
"You are accurate... That blue haired man's power..."
"Raka... his na is Raka"
"Yes... Raka... it was unusual... even though he was a noble seed... he seed to hold trendous power... but from what I've evaluated of him from your previous battle, he doesn't know his exact powers yet, just like you, Raka simply hasn't grasped the full hold on his powers. It was..."
The system halted as it rethought what it was about to say. But it was soon when it confird itself.
"It was as if he was underestimating his Seed"
...
The weeping boy, who looked like his younger self and the Ogretto army faded away within a second as the system clapped its hands together.
The infinitely dark abyss diminished into a single road which directed to a gigantic door, 10 tis bigger than the 12 feet doors the king's castle had.
The system was the first to begin walking towards the door. As the doppelganger reached 5 steps apart, it veered around and gestured him to follow.
The uneasiness in Marcus's heart lingered, intensifying slowly with every step he took towards the door.
The 6ft 2 inch Marcus was nothing when he reached the enormous door. The door was fastened with chains and nurous bolts.
"So system... comparing the level of trauma the previous guardian experienced, where would mine stand against her?"
Marcus spoke as he turned his head to his right to face his replica system.
"You must know how much trauma and shock I collected. After all, you were the one who concluded it would hurt right?."
.......
.....
.......
......
"That is very true Marcus. And if I were to compare yours to the previous guardian's then..."
The system spoke after a considerable period, Marcus felt the hesitation radiate from his look alike system.
"Then?"
His voice urged the system to continue. The hesitation was now clear on its face as the system tried to push the words from its tip.
"THEN?"
...
.....
....
....
....
"Her trauma won't even have the choice of holding a candle to yours"
