Yelena Hughes withdrew her hand.
Justin Sutton stepped forward excitedly, "Let’s clear things up today. Ask him directly whether it’s who’s been stringing you along or if he simply can’t provide these ds."
Justin never imagined that last night, the conversation between him and Jasper Yale had been overheard by Yelena Hughes.
She wanted to leave, but Justin blocked her way.
"Ask him."
Yelena Hughes kept a stern face, "Enough, okay?"
Justin, who had been pampered since childhood, had exhausted his patience pursuing Yelena Hughes.
He instantly lost his temper, "I want to save your sister more than anyone; she’s like my own sister."
Yelena’s eyes were vacant as she looked at Jasper Yale, eting his cold and oppressive gaze.
Jasper Yale closed the nu he was holding, "If there’s sothing to discuss, sit down and talk."
Justin pressed Yelena’s shoulders, and the two sat opposite Jasper Yale.
"Young Master Sutton, be my witness. Haven’t I been shalessly pestering you for dicine these days?"
Justin desperately wanted to clarify his position.
Jasper’s words carried a deeper aning, "You have been quite shaless."
Yelena didn’t need to look up to feel the oppressive aura from the man across.
Suddenly, she heard Jasper Yale ask, "Does the dicine work?"
Yelena’s heart skipped a beat, her hand subconsciously clutching her shirt hem. Justin showed confusion, "Who are you asking?"
Jasper gestured towards Yelena with his chin.
Justin’s gaze fixed on her intently, "Where did you get the dicine?"
Yelena’s nerves were being burned inch by inch, and Jasper took pleasure in her discomfort. She suddenly looked up, her eyes staring fiercely at Jasper Yale.
She seed fearless now; at worst, they could have an open conversation.
Jasper, seeing through her, spoke as she was about to respond, "I’m asking if her previous dications were effective."
Justin was about to roll his eyes, "If they were effective, would we be coming to you begging?"
He laughed quietly, "You really want to help Miss Hughes?"
"Of course I do, she’s going to be my future wife."
Jasper laughed even more mysteriously, "My guest will arrive soon, let’s have dinner together."
Yelena imdiately wanted to stand up but was pressed down by Justin.
"Don’t go, maybe he’ll agree to give us the dicine later?"
As they spoke, Jasper’s guest arrived.
Yelena looked up and recognized the face; she was thunderstruck.
Walsh scrutinized her, "This girl, looks familiar."
"Really? Where have you seen her?" Jasper asked.
Walsh glanced at her and then at Jasper.
A year ago, on that night, Yelena Hughes went over with her.
It was like stepping into Asura’s Hell.
Yelena’s breathing beca rapid.
Justin’s face was filled with displeasure, "Don’t talk nonsense, my girlfriend is clean!"
"Oh, Young Master Sutton, I just said she looked familiar, didn’t say she’s not clean."
Yelena wished she could escape right then.
She noticed Jasper’s gaze boldly roving over her, like hooks peeling open her shirt.
Walsh changed the topic, turning to Jasper Yale.
"Honestly, with all the won I’ve seen, the one with the most allure was from a year ago."
Yelena felt as if soone was choking her.
Walsh asked with a grin, "Young Master, do you rember?"
Jasper’s voice was a bit gravelly, "How could I forget."
"How did it feel?"
"Fragrant, soft, smooth, utterly enjoyable."
"Hahaha——" Walsh’s laughter was sharp in Yelena’s ears.
Justin furrowed his brow, raised his hand to cover her ears.
He quickly whispered in her ear, "I’m not like him, I’m a good man. Besides, the won they’re talking about are all worthless creatures."
Yelena’s lips were pale, her whole face taut.
Worthless?
Isn’t that right?
She pushed away Justin’s hand, realizing how foolish she had been, even contemplating a romantic love affair?
Walsh glanced at Yelena’s expression. "Young Master Sutton, that’s not how you should say it. Everyone has their reasons."
"Alright, I’ve heard enough filth."
Yelena picked up a glass of tea on the table and gulped it down.
The tears threatening to surface in her eyes were forced back.
She shot up from her seat, "Excuse , I need to use the restroom."
Yelena quickly walked out; as soon as she found a place to wash her hands, she received a call from Jasper Yale.
She hesitated montarily before answering.
A voice ca through, "I have the dicine now, do you want it?"
With a rustling sound, Jasper pushed a box of dicine in front of Justin Sutton, "I can see Miss Hughes is quite anxious."
Justin didn’t reach out for it, "I’ve seen her sister, feels like... she doesn’t have much ti."
"Why not give it a try." Jasper glanced at the phone on his leg, the call was still ongoing.
"Who dares to try it? I can’t afford a death on my hands." Justin threw the box back, "You should just insist there’s no dicine, don’t give her false hope."
Was Jasper doing this because he saw she hadn’t given up, so he wanted her despair to bleed?
She hung up the call, splashed cold water on her face.
Yelena returned to the room, Justin quickly pulling out a chair for her, "After dinner, I’ll visit your sister..."
"There’s no need," Yelena interrupted coldly, "Don’t co looking for anymore."
"Why?"
"I don’t want to continue with you; I’ve tried, but I can’t grow to like you, sorry."
Justin jumped in anxiety, "You say you don’t like ?"
"You have great qualities, and I’ve tried, but it’s useless."
Yelena’s cold words were hurtful, coupled with her frosty deanor, even Jasper couldn’t discern whether she was sincere or bluffing.
But Justin felt embarrassed, especially in front of his buddy.
He angrily kicked a chair over, "You’re sothing. Don’t crawl back to beg again!"
The chair hit Yelena’s leg, rendering her montarily unable to stand.
Justin had already left, and Walsh no longer needed to hold back. "Miss Hughes, there are so things... Young Master Sutton doesn’t know yet?"
"He doesn’t need to know; I have nothing to do with him anymore."
Yelena grabbed the bag beside her, enduring the severe pain as she stood up, "You promised to keep that matter a secret."
Walsh shrugged, "I’ve kept it secret, haven’t said anything. You and Young Master are the ones involved, I was just a go-between."
After Yelena left, Walsh lit a cigarette, "Young Master seems rather interested in this girl."
"Just having so fun," Jasper’s eyes truly lacked interest, "No need to take it seriously."
"Don’t be fooled by her soft physique; I reckon she’s quite strong-willed."
Jasper held a cigarette, the fla from the lighter illuminating his eyes, "I won’t force her, getting into bed is only fun if it’s mutual."
