Leo Sterling shook his head. "I don’t know this guy."

Donovan Xavier’s handso face fell.

You don’t know him, yet you put on an expression like you know everything.

Adrian Rhodes rubbed his leg from his spot on the side. "This thing with your wife calling out soone’s na in her dreams? That started four years ago."

"You don’t rember because of your amnesia. But four years ago, right after you two got together, you told us about it. You said she would call out other people’s nas in her dreams every now and then."

"You were so mad back then. You were slumped over the table, drinking night after night, and nearly drank yourself to death."

Leo Sterling added in a deep voice, "It was because of this Mo guy. Back then, you were torn—you wanted to marry her, but you also refused to because of this."

"Tsk, it’s been four years, and she’s still thinking about him?"

Donovan Xavier reined in his emotions and remained silent.

So, she’s had this man hidden in her heart for four years, and she still rembers him now.

Donovan Xavier’s entire aura turned frigid. He gripped the glass in his hand so tightly that the veins on his hand bulged.

"What are you planning to do now?" Leo Sterling asked.

Donovan Xavier’s eyes were icy and sinister, like a ghoul from the depths of hell. "I’ll dig three feet into the ground to find him, and then I’ll kill him."

Adrian Rhodes took a sip of wine and snorted. "You don’t even know his real na, what he looks like, how old he is, or where he lives, and you want to kill him?"

"Kill him in your dreams!"

Donovan Xavier was speechless. "..."

Adrian Rhodes leaned closer, resting a hand on his shoulder. "Mr. Xavier, do you think this is Chloe’s ’white moonlight’—the one she loves but can never have?"

Donovan Xavier’s handso face turned cold as he let out a frigid laugh. "White moonlight? No way!"

"She already said it: I’m the only man she’s ever loved. Do you understand what ’only’ ans? She will only ever love in this life."

As he spoke, his chin lifted slightly, his tone carrying an unconscious hint of pride.

Adrian Rhodes poured cold water on his pride. "Heh, she says it, and you just believe it? You lost your mory, not your intelligence too, did you? What if she’s lying to you?"

"With just a single tear, a woman can lie well enough to cheat you out of the pants you’re wearing!"

Donovan Xavier was speechless again. "..."

He took an indignant sip of his wine. "It doesn’t matter. Even if she is lying to , I’ll gladly accept it."

The corner of Adrian Rhodes’s mouth twitched. He looked up and exchanged a glance with Leo Sterling. "Mr. Sterling, is this what they call being a legendary love fool?"

Donovan Xavier lifted his cold gaze to glare at him. "You just wait. After you get married, you won’t be any better off than ."

Adrian Rhodes sighed. "I probably won’t get to experience married life. I might never get married in this lifeti."

"Why do you say that?" Leo Sterling asked.

Adrian Rhodes looked troubled. "You know how it is. That little girl at my house is so clingy, always watching my every move."

"And for so reason, Cecilia seems to hate every other woman around now. The other day, at a party, I just exchanged a few extra words with a hostess."

"Hah! When that little girl found out, she cried and threw a fit, saying I was going to marry another woman and didn’t want her as a sister anymore!"

"She wouldn’t eat, drink, or sleep. She just kept crying. Her body can’t handle that kind of abuse. It was driving crazy!"

Donovan Xavier said in a low voice, "Maybe... she doesn’t want to just be your sister."

Adrian Rhodes asked, "Hmm?"

...

anwhile, a driver brought Chloe Preston to the Quinn family’s ho.

The car door opened, and Chloe Preston stepped out. She was beautiful in a light green long dress, looking fresh, elegant, and dazzlingly charming.

The bodyguards also got out and said respectfully, "Ma’am, we won’t follow you in for dinner. We’ll wait for you out here. Please call us if you need anything."

Chloe Preston replied, "Alright."

Just then, a Bentley approached from a distance.

The car looked vaguely familiar to Chloe. She paused in her tracks and took a closer look.

The car door opened, and Connor Sutton stepped out. He wore a black, double-breasted suit that accentuated his long legs and stern features. A look of pleasant surprise crossed his face as he walked toward her.

"Chloe?"

Chloe Preston asked, "President Sutton, why are you here?"

Connor Sutton walked up to her, a warm smile on his lips. "Your dad invited . He said he wanted to treat to dinner."

"He didn’t ntion you’d be here. If I had known, I would’ve dressed up a little more."

Chloe Preston said, "I see. Well, let’s go in together."

Connor Sutton held up the gift in his hand, smiling. "Alright. How have you been lately? Is the baby okay?"

"How is Donovan Xavier treating you?"

Chloe Preston had been smiling, but when he ntioned Donovan’s na, her smile slowly faded.

He still hadn’t responded to her ssages or given her a call. She refused to believe he was too busy to even see her ssages. He just didn’t want to reply.

Chloe Preston felt a sudden sting in her nose, the prelude to tears.

It had been like this since last night. Why was he giving her the cold shoulder? She couldn’t cry. It would be too embarrassing if anyone saw.

Connor Sutton noticed the shift in her emotions but didn’t press the issue. Instead, he quickly changed the subject with a smile. "I’ll cook for you later. You can taste my skills."

Chloe Preston gave him a once-over. "You can cook?"

"Of course. Maybe after tasting my food, you’ll forget Donovan Xavier and fall in love with instead."

"Ha, quite confident, aren’t you?"

One of the bodyguards listened to their conversation, his expression impassive. He discreetly took out his phone and sent a ssage to his employer.

[Sir, Madam has arrived safely at the Quinn family’s ho. However, the president of the Sutton Group is here.]

An instant reply ca back: [Connor Sutton?]

Bodyguard: [Yes. He’s already gone inside.]

[That Sutton guy is also going to cook for Madam. He said that after she eats his food, she’ll definitely fall in love with him.]

...

「At the bar, in a private room.」

Donovan Xavier was leaning lazily against the sofa, his gaze lowered. His long, slender fingers idly twisted the wedding ring on his hand.

The mont he received the ssage, he set down his drink, stood up, and started to leave.

"Where are you going?" Leo Sterling called after him.

Without turning his head, Donovan Xavier walked out, his posture tall and imposing, his aura one of unparalleled nobility.

"I’m going to find my wife and cook for her, lest she get chard by so shady riffraff."
