He was not a sociable person but to find Chunhua, the man went outside his comfort zone and went to ask the people he t on the way.

"Excuse , Auntie, did you see a girl, about the height of my chest. She’s wearing City Z High School Uniform with shoulder-length hair tied into a ponytail..."

"Sorry but there are lots of female high school students that passed by. I was busy and haven’t notice at all..." The Auntie replied.

"...A pink back pack..."

"I saw lots of female students wearing pink bag..." The Uncle shook his head and said.

"She has a small build but had great strength and can lift almost anything..."

"Son, are you sure you’re referring to a girl?" Grandpa was speechless.

"She likes food the most..."

"Everyone likes food! By the way, Big Brother could we could get your number or QQ?" The group of female students excitedly said and this group were flabbergasted when Big Brother said he never had a phone, and doesn’t know what a QQ is.

"..."

Are you a caveman?!

"When she smiles, her cheeks would bulge like the squirrel..."

The Auntie looked at him, confused, "What kind of missing person description is that?!"

This day, the number of sentences Haoran spoke was greater than all the years combined.

But his luck appears to be bad, because all those people shake their heads. None of them saw Xiao Hua.

Haoran wandered around listlessly with no direction and then tried his luck on the stalls that sell food, hoping to spot the familiar figure.

But beca the West lake Park is so vast, even half an hour passed; he only manage to cover a small portion of the market and never found a trace of her.

Afterwards, he tried the stalls that operated betting gas which Xiao Hua was oddly interested in but got the sa result.

It was until he bumped into a monk selling paper talismans...

"Wait Benefactor, I think I’ve t the one you said! The last ti I saw her, she was on the opposite side of the lake." The monk answered and pointed on the direction of the pagoda that can be seen from their spot.

If Chunhua was here, she would have recognized the monk that had talk to Haoran because it was her colleague whom she had talked heart to heart.

No one knows how glad Haoran was inside when he heard that.

The monk wanted to say sothing else but chose to swallow his words in the end.

He stared at the youth’s disappearing back, startled at seeing thin layer of halo on auspicious radiance on him. The monk rubbed his eyes and wanted to see if he was hallucinating but the youth was gone.

In order to get to opposite side of the lake, one must cross the long bridge. Haoran walked as fast as he could, almost running and stopped when he reached the middle, where he saw a familiar silhouette.

And the monk was right, she was really here.

On the Magpie Bridge...

Xiao Hua was talking to soone. Haoran leaned on the guard rails and baluster, waited for their conversation to finish before lifting his steps.

And when he took a glimpse of her expression, Haoran’s expression eased when he didn’t detect any anger.

"Xiao Hua..." He mumbled in relief after what it seed an eternity of separation.

---

As soone who is simple-minded, as long as she got the point, Chunhua would not go in circles to aggravate the problem.

But only she knows what sort of thoughts were going on her head the part when she discovered his identity.

In the midst of those stirring thoughts, she was asking the system why it hid Chef Long’s true na.

However, the system was good at playing deaf, leaving Chunhua to think on her own.

And when it cos to things turning complicated, Chunhua’s principle is also simple, don’t overthink things, it’s a waste of energy.

----

Speaking of which...

"You can beat or scold if you want. I’ll stay still. Just don’t run away." Haoran added after recalling Grandma i’s words. His tone laced with undisguised pleading despite knowing her ferocious one-punch strength.

If the next ti she runs away and he will not be able to find her anymore, he doesn’t know what to do.

Haoran was silent after that. He thought his attempt to confess will had an ill-fated ending but he felt a warm hand grasped his cold ones.

And the girl scooted closer next to him, "Actually, I also have sothing to say, Chef Long. I was also not being honest." It was unfair if he is the only one who cos clean.

In that mont, Haoran’s gloominess disappeared, and he carefully asked while peeking at her face, "You’re not upset anymore?" His attention was solely on her forgiveness and not the secret she’s keeping from him.

"I was not upset. I was just...a bit overwheld." It’s like discovering that the filling inside pork dumpling you just ate was not pork but chicken. Chunhua exhaled tiredly, "But after talking to a sage, I feel a lot better."

The pleasant and sweet voice drifted to Haoran’s ears dissipating all those negative emotions.

"Whatever it’ll be, I’ll listen...." Haoran said softly and grasped her hand, kneading it.

Chunhua stared at the man, especially his eyes that were clear and bright without the speck of judgnt before saying, "Actually...I’m not from this world." Chunhua placed her hand on her chest and waited for the man’s reaction.

But after 1...2...3 seconds passed...

"Chef Long, why are you not surprise?" Chunhua was expecting that he would have a bigger reaction but Chef Long rely looked at her and maintained the sa expression.

"Why should I be?" Haoran raised one of his brows.

He had so guesses and even she said she was an alien, he would not even flinched.

"Well..." Chunhua was speechless and couldn’t find a proper response. She continued with her story from her thug childhood life, to the ti her Master found her, her sect life, the things she learn which explain the odd things she cos up with like the arrays, the talismans, and so on which made her perplex.
