As they gotten near towards the end, the temperature slowly beca unbearable. Shivani cast water shields around each one.

After half an hour, they reached the center where they saw Thalassa was about to toss the unconscious the body of King Nephim to the boiling lava. Shillo was beside her feet, bounded by water rope and unconscious.

When Shana and Shivani saw the burn wounds on her arm, they knew she was the culprit.

But one thing was strange, "Why are you doing these? My sister had not offended you in any way!"

Thalassa flashed them an eerie laugh and her words baffled them further, "Oh dear. Don’t shout like that! What I’m doing is sothing novel. I lack three others to sacrifice to break the seal! You should be honored to be a part of it because soon enough you’ll in the presence of a great being!"

Thalassa’s sudden change of character made them wary and so was the word she was pouting. "What sacrifice and seal are you talking about?"

"It was for my Master. The one your ancestor sealed!" Thalassa snickered.

"I don’t understand. You’re clearly a nymph-"

Thalassa cut Shivani off, "I’m not a nymph. This body is but an empty shell I used..." Her lips curled up, "And this body was also one amongst the many I vessels I recycled. It was so fun watching you revere and looked up to in the past." Thalassa looked at King Nephim’s body as if it was just a discarded thing.

For the span of nurous years she looked for ways to break the seal. One ti when King Nephim was out, he attacked her soul and occupied her body. That Oceanid was easy to fool!

He used her power and authority to quietly gather information about the location site of the volcano to which he build the palace over to cover his deeds.

After locating the seal, he found ways undo it but his plans got disrupted by the appearance of Limnad.

He infiltrated his city once and his research and technology made him interested in forming a talk. He slowly brought the topic of Arrays to which Limnad had suggested one thing, ’Sacrificing Array’.

He quickly did it and wanted to use the whole population of nymphs as a sacrifice and started gathering all the sea creatures.

Who knew that Limnad and the ergence of bloodmoon ore vein would interrupt in the nick of ti and destroy the sacrificing array? His plan was ruined!

He had to redo it!

Even though he was very powerful in the past but the body he’s occupying could not withstand him using his full strength making King Nemphim’s body suffer a backlash. He had to hide the body inside an armory and looked for another body.

He wanted to gather the surviving nymphs back, but after the attacks, the nymphs scattered all over the place!

He turned his eyes towards the Halfling City and ford an insidious plan. After finding a body, he let himself be caught to which he used the opportunity to spread a curse.

It was a simple curse that is cast on the halfling’s body and it will suck out their life force until they died and feed the life force back to the sacrificing array. The Halflings called is as ’Thermic Fever’!

Stupid!

And Dranax whose the only one with the knowledge of curses didn’t seem to care a bit for his citizens’ wellbeing which made him very ecstatic!

Little by little his plan succeeded but when he sensed that ti was running out, he needed to think of another way but with a weak body restraining him and attracting Dranax’ attention, he couldn’t slaughter all the halflings!

Chunhua’s tily appearance was the key. When she learned that there was still a surviving priestess, he was very happy and used the small goodwill to win the nymphs’ heart!

A water priestess is equivalent to one seal! Once one seal is broken! The other seals will be easier to crack!

After killing the present priestess, the second one will automatically be born!

Yes, it was part of the plan to lure the Priestess here!

And that’s not all, he also learned about the Advanced Water Refinent thod and acquired the body back which can add to the success!

Thalassa’s heart that was full of dissatisfaction towards her previous defeat from Chunhua had eased a bit and it was slowly occupied by excitent!

They could only watch King Nephim’s body slowly swallowed by the lava in utter silence.

When the last bit of King Nephim’s body disintegrated, the ground shook and a loud explosion occurred sending lava up the crater!

Thalassa felt the faint presence of her Master and his eyes glowed with happiness! Finally!

Shivani and Shana also sensed it and knew they had to stop this lunatic from succeeding!

"Attack and take Shillo back!" Shivani’s eyes were red at the thought of Thalassa sacrificing her sister!

She will teach this lunatic a lesson and cut him to pieces!

The Nymphs’ reconnaissance wasn’t gone unnoticed. The halflings in the Armory spotted their group and the Dean had soone tailed them because he felt there was sothing going on.

The Captain ford a group and followed the nymphs while maintaining a safe distance and once they saw the nymphs entered a hole, they followed suit.
