The roaring sound of rotary blades abruptly echoed at the mountaintop.

Mo Ran saw all the lights in the castle flick on; Fujiwara Ize must have realized she was escaping.

Gu Yixuan had a tracking device on him. Shack pinpointed their location, hovered the helicopter above them, and dropped a long rope ladder.

"Go, hold onto in a mont."

Gu Yixuan, holding Mo Ran with one arm, guided her to climb up step by step.

"Ran!" Just as they were halfway up, they heard Fujiwara Ize’s panicked shout.

He dashed out of the castle and ran towards the helicopter.

Shack squinted at him, raised his gun, and fired a shot in front of him to stop his advance.

Mo Ran was terrified, truly worried they might not be able to leave.

The alarm on top of the castle blared a deafening alert, and all the n ambushed around the mountain converged towards them.

Sitting high in the helicopter, Shack could see the deathly loyal fighters rushing towards them.

He urgently shouted at Gu Yixuan, "Boss, hurry up, there are too many of them, we’ll be trapped soon."

Gu Yixuan never slowed his climbing pace, instead, he sped up. Mo Ran did not dare to breathe, her whole body tense.

This was a thrilling mont; one small mistake could an being crushed to pieces.

"Ran! Don’t go! You cannot take her, leave her behind!" Fujiwara Ize didn’t care about Shack’s bullets, he charged straight over.

He grabbed the rope ladder and started climbing up.

"Shit!" Shack cursed under his breath, unable to shoot at him.

Because Gu Yixuan and Mo Ran’s bodies were in the way. Also, he couldn’t shoot; Fujiwara Ize represented the Fujiwara Mo Family, a royal power.

If he killed him, it would be equivalent to defying an entire nation, which would spell huge trouble for them.

"Ran! I truly can’t live without you, please stay!" Fujiwara Ize climbed up swiftly, constantly pleading with Mo Ran.

Mo Ran lowered her eyes, face emotionless, while a flash of killing intent appeared in Gu Yixuan’s eyes.

In a few moves, they reached the top, Shack pulled Mo Ran up first, then helped Gu Yixuan. Sitting in the helicopter, Gu Yixuan grabbed the gun from Shack’s hand and aid at Fujiwara Ize.

"Bang—" The first shot hit one of his thighs.

Fujiwara Ize’s body nearly slipped, but he tightly gripped the rope ladder, avoiding a fall.

Mo Ran’s heart skipped a beat; she couldn’t help but glance down at Fujiwara Ize...
