HIATUS UPDATE [Return April 15th]

Due to the long absence between uploads, Ive written an abridged account of the events contained in the opening of Book 3s first 25 chapters for those who dont wish to read through it again. The main highlights are as follows:

Carina began training with Viktor and Kirsi in the magical cortex of her Frozen Heart.Gus was rescued from the slave market by the witch hunters Tarlay and Vanya.Carina discovered both Jade and Gus had gone missing from Percys care at Hawthorne.Carina discovers what appears to be a witch plague spreading through the slums.Tarlay attacks Carina, Kirsi takes over, and Tarlay is killed while Vanya is allowed to escape. Carina reports the plague to Nicholas.Ivy revealed the witch curse placed on her by Jade (in Book 2).Carina receives a ssage (threatening Ivy) blackmailing her into withdrawing from the Royal Hunt. Instead of the originally planned 200 knights, Carina brings 1,000 to Gilwren Forest.The nobles are split into four hunting groups led by Nicholas/Carina, Marquess Borghese (Royal Faction), Earl Percy (Noble Faction, and Acheron/Eleanora.On the eve of the event, Viscount Stafford (Father of lady-in-waiting to the Crown Princess, Lady redith Stafford) insults Carina publicly and is forced to dual Captain Beaumont co daybreak.Shortly after this, Priscilla Borghese attempts to fra Carina as a witch using her new attendant, Lady Marinda (who happens to be Ivys mother, the one that sold her daughter into slavery).Crown Prince Nicholas decides that the attendant will be questioned to determine if anyone coerced her and that Priscilla will give the Duchess a public apology for her servants actions.
