The sight of Vera Xavier made Nathaniel Nathan’s heart ache. His earlier intention to teach her a lesson and make her behave dissipated almost entirely. He said in a low voice, "No crying!"
Vera Xavier’s tears only fell faster, and she stared at him with red-rimd eyes.
The sight of her made his heart ache even more, yet he forced himself to ask sternly, "Have you learned your lesson?"
Vera Xavier ignored him, simply crying as she looked at him.
A similar scene had played out before, and Young Master Nathan, with his excellent mory, certainly rembered it. But her tears made his mind go completely blank, leaving him with no idea how to handle her. He knew that even if this happened a hundred more tis, he would fall for her trick every single ti.
So, never being one for comforting people, all he could say was, "If you keep crying, I’ll double the punishnt!"
Vera Xavier let out a loud "WAH!" and wailed, "Nathaniel Nathan, you bastard! This is dostic abuse!"
Hearing such an accusation, Nathaniel Nathan felt his scalp go numb. In that instant, all his masculine authority, the house rules, family law, and discipline—all of it was thrown to the winds.
He scrambled to pull a tissue for her. "No crying!"
Vera Xavier only cried harder. "Not only are you abusive, you’re an to too!"
Nathaniel Nathan felt completely helpless in the face of this accusation. He could only soften his voice, "I wasn’t being an to you..."
"Yes, you were! You were!" Vera Xavier said, looking at him. "You were an to and you won’t even admit it! Nathaniel Nathan, how can you be so horrible!"
Nathaniel Nathan was speechless.
He took a deep breath. "Fine, fine, fine. I admit it, I was an to you!"
"You just said that whoever does sothing wrong has to accept the punishnt!" Vera Xavier said between sobs.
Nathaniel Nathan asked resignedly, "How do you want to punish ?"
’She’s already crying, so I can’t be bothered to assert my authority as the husband anymore. Besides, this is just our private fun, and no one will ever know. I guess I’ll just have to set aside my masculine pride in front of her for now...’
"Lie down so I can spank you!" Vera Xavier shouted.
’Nathaniel Nathan had never been hit by anyone in his life, much less a woman. But right now, as long as she stopped crying, he figured it was fine to let her hit him a couple of tis to blow off so steam.’
So he said, "Fine. Hit all you want."
After saying that, he lay down on the bed with exceptional cooperation, letting her do as she pleased. If his comrades-in-arms and his superiors were to see him like this, they would probably freak out!
A man with his cold, aloof, and domineering personality, actually lying down to be hit? That was more shocking than the sun rising in the west!
As he was lying down, he snuck a glance at her. He saw that her eyes, though still wet with tears, now held the distinct, sly glint of soone who had gotten her way. The corner of his mouth twitched. ’Even knowing this was all just her little trick, I’d still make the sa choice if it happened again.’
Vera Xavier hadn’t expected him to be so cooperative. She was suddenly at a loss for what to do.
She glanced at his backside and unconsciously recalled the sight of him fresh from his shower. Her mind couldn’t help but conjure up all sorts of images, and suddenly she wasn’t just seeing his butt anymore. The thoughts were getting a little R-rated.
She cleared her throat, realizing she couldn’t bring herself to lay a hand on him.
Nathaniel Nathan glanced sideways at her conflicted expression and found it amusing. He reached out, grabbed her hand, and guided it to slap his own rear twice. Then he asked, "Feel that? Nice and springy, isn’t it?"
Vera Xavier was speechless.
’Young Master Nathan, where has your dignity gone?’
