Leo Wright panicked. "Stop hitting her! She really is the daughter of the Minister of Comrce!"

Vera Xavier saw Alistair Forrest look over. She gave a small shrug and said, "I’ve already run into several people claiming to be from the Ministry of Comrce on my way here. This whole lot is clearly a group of scamrs. How could a man as upright as the Minister of Comrce possibly have such a vicious daughter?"

Alistair Forrest glanced at the pathetic-looking Susan Caldwell, then back at the self-assured Vera Xavier. "Good point. You look more like the Minister of Comrce’s daughter than she does. This lot definitely looks like a bunch of scamrs."

Vera Xavier’s lips twitched. ’His casual remark was actually the truth.’

Susan Caldwell was so furious listening to their conversation she could have spit blood. Because of her status, most people treated her with a great deal of respect. But when people didn’t believe in that status, she was nothing!

’This feeling was awful!’

Vera Xavier looked at Susan Caldwell and said, "I don’t care whether you’re a scamr or the Minister of Comrce’s daughter. Consider those slaps payback for what you tried to pull on earlier. Now, let’s settle our bet."

Susan Caldwell’s expression was ghastly. Vera Xavier said with a sly grin, "Let’s pick up where we left off. Are you going to eat these stones? Or are you going to get on your knees and apologize to ?"

Susan Caldwell bit her lip. "How much money do you want?"

Vera Xavier raised an eyebrow. "Money?"

"Yes," Susan Caldwell said, her voice cold. "I’ve seen plenty of people like you. You’re only making things this difficult for today because you want money, right? Na your price. I’ll pay you."

She had always been proud. There was no way she would ever do sothing like kneel before soone.

Vera Xavier chuckled softly at her words. She had seen Susan Caldwell’s arrogant ways in her past life as well. So she said coolly, "That does sound reasonable. Making you eat stones or kneel isn’t as practical as a direct cash paynt. Alright then, I’m not one to be shy. Give ten million, and we’ll consider this matter settled."

’Susan Caldwell has lived in my place since she was a child. For eighteen years, she stole my parents’ love, my identity, and my status, living a carefree and comfortable life. anwhile, I was constantly being tornted and manipulated by Rona Langdon. How could money ever compensate for that kind of loss?’

’But completely tearing away Susan Caldwell’s beautiful facade wouldn’t be simple, nor would it be quick. Since Susan Caldwell had fallen into her hands today, she would start by collecting a little interest.’

"Ten million!" Susan Caldwell’s face filled with scorn. "You must be out of your mind!"

Vera Xavier shrugged. "You’re the one who wanted to solve this with money. Don’t tell the pride of the esteed daughter of the Minister of Comrce isn’t worth a re ten million?"

Susan Caldwell was practically fuming. Alistair Forrest said with a smile, "The price sounds quite reasonable to . If she really is the Minister of Comrce’s daughter, her reputation should be worth a good ten million. Unless, of course, she isn’t the real thing and is completely worthless."

The corner of Vera Xavier’s mouth twitched when she heard him. ’Wasn’t that a little harsh?’ she thought. Still, she agreed with him. Susan Caldwell was indeed worthless.

Nathaniel Nathan shot Alistair Forrest a cold glare. ’This guy stepped in to catch Vera Xavier when she was about to fall earlier. And now that she’s dealing with Susan Caldwell, he keeps chiming in to back her up. Based on my gut instinct as a man, this guy has his eyes on Vera Xavier.’
