"Norman Bennett!" She suddenly looked at Norman Bennett, only to find that he had already noticed the direction she had been watching.

Not long after, a flash of light appeared again in that direction, clearly indicating soone was there.

The two exchanged a glance and said in unison, "Let’s go."

With that, they headed into the forest in the direction of the light.

After walking for about half an hour, they arrived at a place with a large rock, a rare solid cover in this forest.

"Boss, we haven’t found it! They must have gone east!"

Hearing soone speaking English not far away, Luna frowned and whispered, "What are they looking for?"

"There are at least ten people around," Norman said.

That was a conservative estimate; there could be as many as a hundred people in the forest, and this might very well be where Elliana Lyle was located.

"Norman Bennett? Where are you going?" Seeing Norman rise and stealthily move towards the right, avoiding those people, she had no choice but to follow.

However, Norman did not reply, seemingly having made a decision, so she had no choice but to draw the gun strapped to her waist.

After all, they couldn’t afford to trust these unknown forces and had to stay alert.

They continued to explore forward, moving further and further away. It was only then that Luna realized Norman was heading east.

She couldn’t help but stop him: "Are you crazy? They’re searching to the east, and these guys don’t look like the good sort. The two of us would be walking into a death trap!"

Ignoring her warning, the man ahead coldly replied, "You can stay back and wait for ."

Luna: "..."

After giving it so thought, she decided to follow him. If danger arose, she could be of aid. After all, she held the greatest responsibility for Elliana’s disappearance, and she knew it.

After two minutes, Norman suddenly said, "Stop!"

A few seconds later, a voice ca from up ahead: "Is that them up there? I think I saw a shadow."

"Let’s go check it out to be sure."

Startled by these words, Luna’s heart skipped a beat. Had they been discovered?

Quickly, she gripped her gun tighter, ready for confrontation at any mont.

Yet, the voices seed to fade further away.

"I’ll go follow them and see. Don’t move from here," Norman instructed before moving ahead.

Of course, Luna didn’t obediently stay put, maintaining a distance of about five or six ters behind him.

Soon, Norman caught up with those two people and finally stopped at a distance of five or six ters, as there were no more covers ahead, just an open space.

There were so short weeds, though, providing cover if one lay down.

Before long, Luna also caught up, carefully tapping the shoulder of the person ahead. Yet this action only earned her a sidelong glance from Norman and not a startled reaction.

"Damn it, we finally found these two bitches."

"Hey! There’s one more!"

Hearing this, Norman and Luna exchanged a glance and made an imdiate decision, quietly moving forward until they were less than three ters away from those two.

Looking at the two towering foreign n, one of them held a gun and pointed it at the three won cornered by the mountain.

By moonlight, Norman saw the figures clearly ahead.

"Shouldn’t we tell the boss first? How about we enjoy ourselves a bit first?"

"Are you out of your mind? Have you forgotten who wants this woman?"

Just as they were talking, one of them let out a muffled grunt and fell to the ground!

And the other one, having just grasped the situation, had his eyes wide open in shock!

Luna, with agile movents, sat on the man’s neck, driving the sharp blade in her hand into his throat almost instantly.

A single, fatal strike.

The man taken down by Norman was rely unconscious.

When the man Luna was on fell, she went over and finished off the unconscious one with another stab. Norman said nothing about it.

He quickly made his way to the little girl staring blankly at him.

"Nor... Norm..." At that mont, Elliana was too shocked even to speak. How could Norman be here? He...

Under the moonlight, he ca toward her like the dawn, enveloping her in a tight embrace: "Girl, don’t be afraid, I’ve found you."

In his words, she heard a hint of a choke in his voice.

This embrace, so solid and reassuring, made her feel as if she were dreaming. She reached out to hold him tightly, tears silently streaming down her cheeks.

She sobbed uncontrollably, her whole body trembling, her hands striving to hold him even tighter.
