The leader lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, exhaled, and strolled to the edge of the cliff, inspecting all around but found no traces. Behind him, his underling carefully scanned the rocks below the cliff.
"Boss! Could they have jumped down?"
"Are they idiots! Jumping down there is suicidal! Even if they don’t die, they’d be crippled!" another underling retorted.
Although the two underlings spoke casually, the leader’s heart skipped a beat, "What are you two bickering about! Go call everyone over and search this area thoroughly, especially behind or underneath the rocks against the wall below!"
"Yes!"
"Jack! Hold on a second!" the leader stopped one of them and said, "Take so n and go down from the old lighthouse, loop around here, and search below."
"Yes!"

Elliana Lyle felt as if her soul vanished; just a mont of weightlessness, and she felt herself smash into the ground, then plunge into the water! The sea imdiately enveloped her!
She sank in the water for a few seconds before the falling sensation disappeared! As soon as she ca to her senses, she felt soone pulling her upwards! Then she broke the surface! Her ears buzzed!
The mont she erged from the water, a wave crashed over her, and she struggled to catch a breath but ended up inhaling a mouthful of seawater!
Bitter and salty! "Cough~! Gag!"
Then she was dragged by her arm up onto a rock, sprawling on the uneven surface, hurriedly spitting out the seawater, her throat hoarse and coughing uncontrollably!
But before Elliana Lyle could recover, soone clamped a hand over her mouth! The seawater she was about to cough up was forced back in!
At this mont, she felt like her eyes were about to bulge out!
Suddenly, a flurry of footsteps appeared on the cliff above! She endured the choking discomfort as Joy Lyle half dragged, half pulled her into a crevice on the cliff edge!
Listening to the voices so close above, her throat tortured from the choking! Tears stread down uncontrollably, her body soaked, seawater dripping off her clothes.
"Hang in there!"
Joy Lyle’s voice was very soft as she slowly released her mouth! She finally managed to spit out the seawater! Struggling not to cough audibly, she heard voices from above~!
The sound of waves crashing against the rocks was noisy and loud, hard to decipher, but she heard they were not giving up the search.
Just as she thought this place was not safe for long, she felt Joy Lyle moving away behind her! The hand clutching hers also loosened, Elliana Lyle’s heart jolted!
She turned her head and almost cried out!
A ghostly figure!
Long hair! Disheveled! Pale-faced! Erging from the rocks! Her tattered clothes fluttered wildly in the wind! Joy Lyle, ready to confront the figure suddenly erging from the rocks!
Elliana Lyle had no ti to think before she heard footsteps above!
That person quickly put a finger to her lips in a gesture! Backing away!
Only then did she realize there was a hidden crevice between them and the sea!
The woman backed away, beckoning them over!
Joy Lyle quickly grabbed Elliana Lyle and squeezed into the crevice from where the woman erged!
Once squeezed inside, Elliana Lyle felt if she was any bigger, she wouldn’t fit!
As soon as they were in, she heard soone shout from above!
"There’s nothing here!"
Silently thankful, they narrowly avoided being discovered!
