"Hello."
Norman Bennett connected the call, however, the next mont he heard a beep.
The call had inexplicably been hung up.
He frowned, then saw the ssage.
Luna Sutton: "Sorry, I pressed the wrong button."
...
―――On the other side.
Luna turned off the phone, crossed her arms, and looked at the person on the bed with a pleading face: "Alright then, I won’t call Norman Bennett, but you have to eat sothing."
"Oh." Elliana Lyle could only agree, got out of bed, and picked up the strawberry cake next to her, scooping a spoonful of white cream.
It slled nice, but it was making her uncomfortable; she forced it into her mouth, taking a bite.
Seeing her eat, Luna was sowhat satisfied.
Suddenly!
She just felt so discomfort in her stomach, and this feeling intensified, followed by a wave of nausea! It surged to her throat!
"Ugh!" She covered her mouth and ran to the bathroom without even putting on shoes.
Luna, shocked, followed her in.
"Ugh~"
She bent over the toilet bowl and vomited what she had eaten earlier, then spat out so bitter liquid.
"Cough, cough, cough―――!"
"What’s wrong with you?" Luna quickly used the toothbrush cup to get her a glass of water to rinse her mouth.
Weak and exhausted, she took it, and even after vomiting, she didn’t feel any better, with a lingering nauseous sensation in her stomach.
She hadn’t been eating regularly these days, simply because she couldn’t eat.
Clutching her stomach with her hand, fear suddenly gripped her heart. She already had gastric issues, and she was terrified it might be stomach cancer now!
The more she thought, the more chaotic her mind beca!
Luna took away the water cup in her hand and, without hesitation, pulled her out: "Co with to the hospital for a checkup."
In such a hurry, she slipped on a pair of slippers and was dragged out of the villa by Luna.
Once in the car, she felt even more like vomiting, and the feeling didn’t subside until they reached the hospital.
After registration, Luna patted her to go for an examination. After a series of checks, they were waiting for the results.
During the wait, Elliana felt a bit flustered inside.
She didn’t know if it was stomach cancer, didn’t know if she was dying, and started regretting her irregular eating habits and careless diet before.
"Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere else?"
Luna held her all the while, looking worried.
She shook her head, not wanting to say anything.
"Who is Elliana Lyle?" The nurse’s words ca, but Elliana did not react because she couldn’t understand, and her chaotic mind wasn’t paying attention.
Luna supported her to stand up and said: "Here."
Then the two of them followed the nurse into the room.
"Is there sothing wrong with her stomach?" Luna asked.
The doctor glanced at Elliana, shook his head sowhat helplessly, and actually...
Finally, he could only say: "She’s just pregnant, almost a month along, experiencing so severe morning sickness, pay more attention to the diet."
"Pregnant?" Luna turned her head to Elliana, startled, then smiled: "Buddy, you’re pregnant."
"Wha...what?"
Elliana was montarily unresponsive, first puzzled, then a bit happy.
This is her and Norman Bennett’s child!
Although... although she hadn’t prepared, she was very willing to welco this child’s arrival.
Luna, holding her pregnancy report, left the hospital with her.
Just as they exited the hospital doors, Elliana’s expression gradually turned cold, finally halting her steps.
No... not right!
Norman Bennett always took safety asures, so... she shouldn’t be pregnant at all!
Although she knew it wasn’t 100% contraception, her heart felt flustered. She recalled... the days she was locked in the carriage.
