Caron Southwell knew that the people coming to rescue him had arrived when he heard the first gunshot outside.
Imdiately, the drum beating in his heart slowly cald down. Seeing Shane Southwell nervously trying to peek out, he slapped his son on the head!
"Stupid boy! Do you want to die? Stay put!"
Shane Southwell winced in pain and had to crouch back down.
Outside, the gunfire rang out intermittently. Caron Southwell and his group waited for about two or three minutes before the gunfire ceased.
He figured the group of robbers wasn’t large; otherwise, the fighting wouldn’t have stopped so quickly and he could finally breathe easier.
A mont later, a few people approached from a distance. The leader wore a black hat, had a half-burned cigarette in his mouth, and a nacing scar across his face.
Seeing this person, Caron Southwell smiled, patted Shane on the shoulder, stood up, and greeted the scar-faced man politely: "Scarbrother."
The scar-faced man grinned, flicking the cigarette: "Just a few petty thieves, Mr. Southwell, how did it co to this?"
Given the tense situation, Caron Southwell didn’t mind the jest and quickly said, "Scarbrother, it’s best if you take us to see the Bullhead right away!"
Upon hearing the na Bullhead, those with Caron Southwell erged from their hiding spots.
"Alright! Let’s go," the scar-faced man gestured for Caron Southwell and his group to follow.
Caron quickly grabbed Shane and followed behind the scar-faced man.
The group reached Luna’s ambush spot, with only a few bodies lying on the ground. The people clearing the battlefield whispered sothing in the scar-faced man’s ear.
The scar-faced man looked back at Caron Southwell, puzzled, and asked, "When did you offend the XTB people, Mr. Southwell?"
Hearing this, Caron Southwell was taken aback. People from the XRB? Over the years, he’d only dealt within the dostic sphere, and hadn’t clashed with the XRB. How, after he fell, did the XRB people surface?
Seeing the bewildernt on Caron’s face, the scar-faced man understood and added, "Then it should be the Yamaguchi-gumi; the Yamaguchi-gumi are working with the blind one."
Even so, Caron Southwell couldn’t figure it out. He decided to let it go for now and replied, "No matter what, have soone bring back the bodies, and we’ll deal with the Yamaguchi-gumi later."
Elsewhere.
Luna finally managed to wipe the dirt off her face. This ti she took a silent loss; she shouldn’t have brought these XRB people with her, accomplishing nothing but ruining everything!
They’re useless in any task and leave nothing behind when they eat!
Giving them a glance, she said in Japanese, "Stay here and wait, no one is to co out without my orders, understood?"
"Yes!"
Seeing this, she felt sowhat reassured. Looking at the slope ahead, she planned to sneak up to scout the situation.
If it doesn’t work out today, she’ll wait until reaching X City to settle this score properly!

Caron Southwell, with his group and the scar-faced man, turned off a path onto a dirt road where two trucks were parked.
The scar-faced man had already started leading people to board the vehicles.
He turned to Caron Southwell and said, "Have your people get on the truck behind."
The individuals with Caron Southwell exchanged doubtful glances, as they were accustod to traveling in luxury business vehicles back ho. Now they had to ride in a cargo truck?
Understanding their concern, Caron Southwell turned and said to them, "It’s an ergency, get on."
Before he finished speaking, a boom erupted! Flas shot into the sky, and a shockwave instantly dispersed the crowd!
The two vehicles were now engulfed in flas, accompanied by continuous wails and cries from all around.
