Flint felt exhilarated knowing that he could get extraordinary power just like them. At least, if he got power, he would no longer feel a burden to Cassie.

"But the journey to that sacred place is dangerous. The process of getting power is filled with challenges. You can't guarantee that you can acquire sothing. Only the chosen ones are given." Scarlet inford them.

"I'm fine with that! I'm willing to do that just to get power… a power that can protect soone," Flint said with determination in his words.

Cassie and Scarlet just exchanged glances at each other. They could see how eager Flint was to have his own power.

"If my Master will allow it, I will guide you to the sacred place…" Scarlet darted her gaze back and forth between Flint and Cassie.

"Please… I have to do this…" Flint pleaded with her. She just only needed to say yes and Scarlet would guide Flint to the sacred place.

"Alright, I am going to allow this… but… I'm coming with you!" Cassie declared.

She was worried about Flint's safety. Besides, Scarlet already told them that the way to the sacred place was dangerous. She would like to protect Flint.

"Cassie! Thank you!" Flint surprisingly grabbed her, engulfing her in his arms.

Cassie swooned as soon as she felt Flint's warm embrace. He was the one who initiated this hug and she liked it. Her heart kept pounding against her chest and she couldn't stop herself from smiling foolishly.

"Anything for you, my dear," Cassie murmured, tapping his back.

Flint drew back when he realized that he was hugging her. It was just his natural reflex since he felt excited knowing that he had a chance to acquire power.

"Let's go back to the cave now and take a rest. Tomorrow, we will venture into another adventure." Cassie said. They were done eating already. They would bring the remaining roasted at of the wild boar to the cave. Their stomachs were full.

Flint just obediently followed Cassie and climbed on Scarlet's back. The three of them returned to the cave and rested.

anwhile, on the other side, guardian warriors headed by Calibur returned to their warrior's divine hall where their leaders had been staying.

They contemplated for the whole day whether to report their embarrassing defeat or not. But first, they made sure to go to the healing camp to treat their injuries.

They spent several hours there. Justine's grandmother, who was being held captive by Mheera's clan, was the one who treated their injuries.

"We need to see Head Shaman and our guardian leader." Calibur was referring to Mheera and Calec.

The warrior in the divine hall welcod them right away. He could sense the urgency in Calibur's voice.

"Our Head Shaman is not around. She hasn't returned yet from her journey," The man replied. Mheera had gone and the guardian warriors had no idea where she went. Only Calec remained in the divine hall, supervising their forces.

"But I can inform our Guardian Leader." The man left to inform Calec about Calibur's arrival.

The five of them waited for fifteen minutes. When the warrior ca back, he motioned them to follow him.

"Our guardian leader is in his chamber. He is waiting for you there." He led them to the path going to Calec's sleeping chamber.

It only took them a minute to reach his chamber. This was their first ti coming here. Calec was usually eting them in the hall. When they entered the chamber, Calec was already sitting on a chair leisurely.

"What brought you here at this hour?" Calec asked them in his stern voice. He was supposed to sleep by now but this group of five people ca looking for him.

Calibur and others dropped to their knees, kneeling before him as they greeted him politely. They apologized for disturbing his leisure ti.

"We have sothing to report to you, guardian lord!" Calibur was the one who spoke up on behalf of the team.

Calec waved his hand, signaling him to continue.

"We encountered Justine in Mt. Argus this afternoon! He had returned after going to the other world and he brought two people with him. We fought them. But we failed to catch or kill them. The woman he brought was powerful.

She also has a fire elent. She can control fire!"

Calec's eyes glead when he heard that, his brows knitting in a frown.

"They brought soone from the other world. And she has fire power…" Calec repeated his words. For so unknown reason, he had a bad feeling about this.

"Fire… what does she look like?" He asked them, his expression becoming more serious.

"She has blue eyes and golden brown hair," Calibur promptly responded.

Calec's suspicion increased when he heard the description. 'Perhaps, he managed to bring here the demon god's daughter? But that's impossible. Will the demon god's daughter help them out? Justine is still a guardian warrior whom she hated!'

Calec was hoping that his suspicion was wrong. anwhile, Calibur noticed the reaction of Calec. He wondered why their guardian leader suddenly got worried about sothing. Was he afraid of sothing?

"Where did you last see them? What happened in your fight?" Calec continued asking them.

"They escaped. My team was utterly defeated…" Calibur told him the truth. The five of them looked down, feeling ashad. But to their surprise, Calec didn't say anything. He seed distracted and he was thinking about sothing.

'I must confirm who the person Justine brought here is. I hope she is not the demon god's daughter, otherwise, it will be a big problem on our side.' Calec thought to himself.

He could still rember how powerful Zhen-Zhen was during their last battle. Though he got more powerful now, he was not certain if he could match her power. This was the reason why Mheera left. She had a mission of bringing the demon god's daughter down. He knew that Mheera still wanted to get her revenge against Zhen-Zhen.

"Go ho now and take a rest. I will deal with this personally," Calec declared to Calibur and his team. They were surprised as they didn't expect that their guardian lord would be the one who would take action personally against that woman.
