The nurse nodded, checked a few boxes on the surgical consent form, and handed it to Shen Yaxuan, “Take a look at this, if there’s no issue, sign your na on it.”

“We will,” the doctor nodded, returning to the ergency room.
But Shen Yaxuan could hear steady footsteps behind him.

He didn’t know if Bo Jingyan heard his conversation with the doctor.
Without saying anything, Bo Jingyan ca over and looked deeply at the ergency room. He was obviously worried about Xia Qingtian in the operating room, too.
Bo Jingyan and Shen Yaxuan were both waiting outside the ergency room in silence.
After an unknown amount of ti, the door of the rescue room opened again.
The doctor removed his mask revealing a slight smile. Without waiting anyone to ask, he inford them that the patient’s life was no longer in danger.
Furthermore, both the adult and the baby survived.
An unconscious Xia Qingtian was then transferred to a regular ward by the dical staff.
After making sure Xia Qingtian was safe, Bo Jingyan glared at Shen Yaxuan, his gaze cold and sharp. He finally said his first words since his arrival at the hospital, “Co with .”
With that, he walked away without waiting for a response.
Shen Yaxuan’s expression darkened. He suspected that his conversation with the nurse had been overheard by Bo Jingyan.
Knowing he had to face the situation, he followed.
In no ti, they found themselves on the hospital’s rooftop.
Standing still, Bo Jingyan stared at him and asked in an icy tone, “Shen Yaxuan, what did you an by your conversation with the nurse and the doctor?”
After settling his company affairs, he returned from his business trip to a call from Jian Xuan, their mutual friend, saying that Xia Qingtian had an accident and was rushed by Shen Yaxuan to the hospital.
Their friends realized that the woman Shen Yaxuan was carrying away was none other than Bo Jingyan’s wife, Xia Qingtian—whom Bo’s father had introduced to many people recently.
They imdiately alerted Bo Jingyan.
As Bo Jingyan rushed to the hospital, he overheard Shen Yaxuan’s conversation.
Shen Yaxuan had already prepared his words in advance.
At this mont, he smirked slightly, sounding both confident and smug, “Yes, what you heard is correct. The child in Qingtian’s belly is mine.”
Bo Jingyan’s deep gaze suddenly darkened, “When did this happen?”
“On the night you were deceived into having relations with Chen Momo.”

“Shut up!!!”
Bo Jingyan couldn’t bear it any longer. He punched Shen Yaxuan in the face, interrupting him.
Grabbing Shen Yaxuan’s collar, his words were filled with a possessive and domineering tone.
“No matter whose child is in Xia Qingtian’s belly, she is my woman! You want to take her away from ? Let’s see if you’re capable of that!”
With that, he punched Shen Yaxuan again.
Shen Yaxuan was knocked to the ground.
Bo Jingyan looked down at him, his deep eyes filled with a frosty warning, “Dare to encroach on my woman again, don’t expect
to consider our years of friendship.”
With that, he left without giving Shen Yaxuan another glance.
Shen Yaxuan knew he had wronged his good brother and did not fight back. After being punched, he simply stood up silently and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.
Watching Bo Jingyan’s back, he murmured, “Now that it’s co to this, don’t give
any chance to take her away from you.”
He had no intention of giving up, however…

Xia Qingtian woke up the next morning.

Nor did he feel any better upon rembering the conversation he had with Shen Yaxuan on the rooftop, knowing the baby inside her carried Shen Yaxuan’s blood. His expression grew even colder, his heart ached like it was being pricked by a needle.
“Don’t worry, your baby is fine.” He said coldly.
Xia Qingtian exhaled heavily upon hearing this.
Then she realized, the familiar voice that had just spoken belonged to–
Bo Jingyan!
She turned her head and saw it was indeed Bo Jingyan!
Seeing him, Xia Qingtian’s eyes lit up imdiately, “Bo, when did you get back?”
She had been waiting for him for so long, and now he was finally back.
“Yesterday,” Bo Jingyan responded coldly.
Xia Qingtian had completely forgotten Bo’s father’s suggestion to share the news of the child’s parentage in a romantic restaurant setting.
She’d been waiting so long, she couldn’t wait anymore.
She couldn’t wait to tell him the truth about the child in her belly.
“Bo, I have sothing important to tell you,” Xia Qingtian grabbed his hand, looked him in the eyes and said, “The baby in my belly is not illegitimate, but our child…”
