"Be good, I don’t think you’re old at all," Chen Xueru replied with a laugh.
"So Tang Shuwen has a wife and kids, and all you can do is be jealous," Ye Feimo said.
"He just got lucky," Director Gu said, siding with Director Lin.
Tang Shuwen really had gotten lucky.
Tang Man Dong stood by her brother, firing back, "Lucky is lucky. Try and get lucky yourself. See if a ten-year-old kid will pop up and call you Daddy."
Director Gu was defeated.
Director Lin pulled Cai Xiaojing into a hug, looking triumphant. "I have a wife to hug, too, so I don’t have to be jealous of you two showing off."
Wen Nuan’s eyes went wide. Ye Feimo raised an eyebrow. Everyone else looked like they already knew. Cai Xiaojing slapped his hand away. "Get lost!"
Lin Ning wasn’t the type to listen. He hugged her again. After a slap and a hug, Cai Xiaojing finally gave in.
"Are you two together?" Wen Nuan asked, surprised.
She looked at Chen Xueru, who nodded. The n all shook their heads, as if to say, "The next victim has appeared, and another bachelor is gone."
"Wen Little White Rabbit, what’s with that expression? Is it that shocking that we’re together?" Lin Ning was displeased with Wen Nuan’s twisted expression after her surprise. He was a great catch, after all.
Wen Nuan rubbed her nose. "I just think it’s very unexpected. You aren’t Sister Xiaojing’s type. You’re so flighty and unreliable."

Ye Feimo just drank his wine, not bothered by the comnt. Lin Diyun and Director Gu laughed heartily. Everyone drank and had fun. Since they were in a private room, there were no interruptions, and they let loose. Except for Gao Chunmiao, everyone was a close friend, so there were no reservations.
Cai Xiaojing and Lin Ning started singing. They both loved to sing and were quite good at it. The n talked about business and the kidnapping in Ro, while the won gathered to gossip.
"Sister Xueru, how was your honeymoon? Did you go anywhere else besides Paris?" Wen Nuan asked.
"Just Paris," Chen Xueru said with a laugh. "A single trip to Paris isn’t enough to see everything. How could we go anywhere else?"
"I wanted to go to Paris, too, but unfortunately..." Wen Nuan smiled. "But there will be plenty of opportunities in the future."
Chen Xueru smiled. "Yes, there will be plenty of opportunities."
"How did Sister Xiaojing and Director Lin end up together? I never thought Sister Xiaojing would consider him. I can’t believe it actually happened." Wen Nuan asked Chen Xueru mysteriously, "Sister Xueru, do you know why?"
Chen Xueru laughed. "I heard Director Lin took Xiaojing to the hot springs and that’s where it happened. The address is quite secretive, in Beishan. Shuwen said he’ll take there soti. It sounds really comfortable."
Tang Man Dong let out a whistle. "A lovers’ hot spring?"
"A single man and woman, in a hot spring deep in the mountains... There must have been sothing scandalous going on," Gao Chunmiao said.
"We didn’t need you to tell us that there was sothing scandalous," Wen Nuan said with a laugh. "It’s so unexpected. They left as friends and ca back as a couple. I’ll feel bad having Sister Xiaojing with all the ti now. If I ever star in one of Director Lin’s films, he’s definitely going to tornt ."
Everyone burst out laughing.
Chen Xueru tugged on Wen Nuan’s arm. "Don’t get so carried away that you forget everything. Do you know the Golden Seal Awards are coming up?"
"I know. Sister Xiaojing ntioned it," Wen Nuan replied.
Gao Chunmiao let out a loud gasp and asked, "Wen Nuan, do you think you can win Best Actress? The Golden Seal Awards are a big deal!"
Gao Chunmiao’s words also brought a temporary end to the n’s discussion. Although the entertainnt industry wasn’t their entire career, just a small part, Lin Ning and Director Gu were in it. Wen Nuan and Chen Xueru were actresses, and Cai Xiaojing was a top agent, so they would naturally care about what happened in the entertainnt world.
"Best Actress? I’ll be happy to get a Best Newcor award," Wen Nuan said with a laugh. She didn’t have high expectations. This year, the film industry was flourishing, and there were many good films, not just *City of Beauty*.
Her best bet was the Best Newcor award.
She was the lead actress, so Best Supporting Actress was out of the question. Best Actress had a lot of strong competitors. Most Popular Actress wasn’t going to be her, either, as she didn’t have enough popularity. So, after all the consideration, Best Newcor was her only real shot.
She would be very satisfied just to win a Best Newcor award at the Golden Seal Awards.
"Even a consolation prize at the Golden Seal Awards would be good. A Best Newcor award is a big deal," Gao Chunmiao said bluntly, making everyone laugh. Ye Feimo’s lips twitched slightly.
"I thought you two had forgotten about the Golden Seal Awards," Lin Ning said.
Cai Xiaojing and Lin Ning returned to their seats. Tang Shuwen said, "I have to find a way to get my wife a Best Supporting Actress award. It’s a wedding gift, after all."
Chen Xueru gave him a look, and Tang Shuwen just smiled without saying anything.
Cai Xiaojing asked Lin Diyun, "Who’s hosting this year?"
Lin Diyun looked at Ye Feimo and said aningfully, "Pei Jun and Han Bi."
Wen Nuan’s smile remained, but her heart skipped a beat. She didn’t show it on her face. Gao Chunmiao, however, was already in a daze over the legendary singer, Pei Jun. Su Ran asked, "Why is Han Bi the host? Wasn’t Li Yuanyuan the host?"
"The organizers changed their mind. Plus, Han Bi is more famous than Li Yuanyuan and has more fans. It will be more of a highlight to have her host. With Pei Jun on top of that, the hosts this year will steal the show," Lin Diyun said.
Cai Xiaojing pursed her lips. It was Han Bi again. Last ti at the Film Critics Association, she had been a judge and ruined Wen Nuan’s Best Newcor award. This ti, she was a host. Cai Xiaojing hoped Wen Nuan wouldn’t win an award, lest she have to go on stage and be tornted by Han Bi.
Wen Nuan didn’t really care. She had already co to a realization. She would definitely run into Han Bi while in the entertainnt industry. She couldn’t keep overreacting every ti Han Bi’s na was ntioned. It was really nothing.
So what if she was a host? Han Bi and she had nothing to do with each other. Besides, even if she won an award, it probably wouldn’t be Han Bi who presented it to her.
"Actually, from a different perspective, being a host is better than being a judge," Director Gu said. "The second round of judging votes is crucial. As a judge, she would definitely have obstructed the path of *City of Beauty*. Being a host is the best-case scenario."
