Ashton's POV
"Hey, beautiful, are you still awake?" I texted gan on her ssenger since I missed her, and I knew I couldn't sleep unless I heard her sweet voice, and my heart was racing when I saw her writing as I could see the three dots were moving on my screen, indicating she was typing sothing on her ssenger.
"Yes," She replied, and I couldn't stop myself from smiling as I sat up on my bad and I leaned my back on the headboard, but her one-word reply made feel worried a little since it felt like she was upset with , and she wasn't excited to text back.
"Can I call you?" I asked.
"Why?" She asked, and I knew right away that sothing was off.
"Because I miss you." I typed back.
"Are you sure about that, Ashton?" She texted, and I could no longer stop calling her right away because I needed to listen to gan's voice, and I wanted to know if she was only teasing .
"Hey, I miss you, g," I said the mont she answered my call.
"Are you sure about that, Ashton?" She asked the sa question from her text ssage, and I could hear the disappointnt in her voice.
"Are you okay, g?" I asked, and she didn't answer right away.
"Yes, do you have sothing to tell ?" She asked, and I suddenly felt guilty about Lauren.
"Yes, and that is the main reason I wanted to call you and talk about it. But first, allow to say sorry, because Lauren is here in our vacation house, my father asked her to join us, and I want you to know I didn't know she was coming." I said, and I heard her let out a soft sigh.
"I hope you are not angry with , gan," I said.
"I am not angry with you, and I am just a little upset that you didn't tell right away. Ava saw Lauren's post, Ashton." gan said, and I felt my entire body felt so cold.
"I am sorry, gan," I said, and I felt like an idiot for not telling her right away. And I am speechless because I don't want to hurt her.
"I felt okay now that you called , I won't deny I felt hurt when I realized she was invited to your birthday party, and I know I should not feel this way since I know where I stand in your life, Ashton." She said, and I could feel the bitterness in her voice.
"Hey, g, please, bear with . I want to be with you always and don't worry, and I will do everything I can so we can be together. I don't care if my parents will be against our relationship." I said, and I wanted to be with her, and if I could only hug her right now, I would feel better.
"Hey, I am okay now, Ashton. Don't worry about . I understand our situation. I am sorry if I can't stop myself from being upset. I know she will always be part of your life since Zachary told Lauren's father was your dad's best friend." She replied, and I let out a sigh of relief, and I felt so thankful that gan was so understanding.
"Thank you, g, for being a sweet and understanding girlfriend. I can't explain why I still miss you so much, even if I spent my entire day with you. What did you do to , gan Corteza?" I asked, and I heard gan laugh, and her sweet laughter made my heart swell with happiness, and I felt so delighted that her mood had changed, and I could tell she was now fine.
"One more thing, g," I said, and I could tell she was feeling nervous on the other line.
"Did your dad find out about us?" She asked, and I chuckled with her question.
"No, and even if he found out about us, I will still be your boyfriend," I replied.
"Ashton, don't underestimate your father, even if we don't know the real story between Isabelle and my brother, but I am so sure your father was successful in ruining what they have," gan said, and I could hear the sadness on her voice.
"And I would be glad if you would fight for , but I want you to know I don't want to be the reason that your relationship with your parents will get ruined, and I don't want to be the villain. I don't expect you to choose between them and , Ashton." She said.
"Hey, why does it feel like you are already giving up on ?" I asked, and I couldn't stop myself from feeling so troubled because I didn't want to lose gan in my life. I wanted her to be with forever.
"I am not giving up on you, Ashton, I love you, and I was only afraid of what would happen to us if your dad found out about us." She responded.
"I love you, g, so much, and don't worry, if I need to beg my dad, I will do it, as long as he will allow us to date.
"My father can't dictate whom to love, g. And that is another thing I want to discuss with you. My father wanted to marry Lauren in the future, and my ex kissed when she greeted happy birthday, but I didn't kiss her back, and I couldn't push her since my father was around. I apologize again, g, for hurting you." I said, and she was silent in the other line.
"Hey, gan, are you still there?" I asked.
"I appreciate your honesty, but I couldn't stop myself from feeling so jealous, Ashton." She said, and I smiled because it felt nice to hear her say those words, and I felt so proud that gan was jealous.
"I like it when you are jealous because I can tell that you love , but there is nothing to be jealous about Lauren because you are the only one I want, g," I responded.
"I know, Ashton. Thank you for calling ." She said.
"Are you sleepy?" I asked.
"Yes, and I am sorry, I want to talk with you more, but I didn't have enough sleep last night." She said, and I could tell my girlfriend was blushing right now because I am sure she will rember why she didn't have enough sleep from the previous night.
"I am sorry if I kept you awake the other night," I replied.
"Don't say sorry, Ashton. I love every mont I shared with you." She responded, and I smiled like an idiot.

" too, g, it was an incredible night to rember," I said.
"Goodbye, g; please go to bed now," I said.
"Okay, you need to sleep too because I know you have a lesser sleep than because you were watching my face the entire ti we lay beside each other." She declared, and I couldn't stop myself from laughing, and I realized she knew after all. I said goodbye to my girlfriend, and then I ended the call with a wide grin on my face. And I was right; after talking with gan, I fell asleep like a baby.
The following day I had a great ti with my brothers, Zachary, and my dad, as we played basketball. I also enjoyed our lunch since we had grilled steak, with many sidings. I enjoyed the rest of the day, and I couldn't thank my sister enough since Isabelle did her best to occupy Lauren's day as I tried my best to avoid my ex as possible. And I felt so glad when my dad told us it was ti to go ho.
I felt so excited to et gan the following day, and I felt glad everything was good between us. I thought I would be in big trouble once she found out Lauren ca with us, and I beca more in love with gan since she understands and is not insecure at all. She knew that Lauren was my ex, but she trusted , which was why our relationship beca stronger as the days went by.
Our graduation is fast approaching, and I can't wait to graduate with gan. And I am so happy for my girlfriend since she will be our Valedictorian, and I couldn't wait to listen for her Valedictory address.
"What? Are you kidding ?" gan asked while we were sitting on the sofa in their living room. We were watching so series on Netflix. I curled my arm around her waist. She paused the current episode we were watching so that she could face .
"Yes, I am inviting you to my mom's birthday party," I repeated, and her eyes widened, and I could tell
she feels nervous.
"Hey, why do you look like that?" I asked her.
"Well, I am excited and thrilled, but you can't bla for feeling nervous about it. What are you going to tell your parents?" She asked, and I could tell gan still couldn't believe what I had said.
"g, it is about ti my parents will know about us. I will be leaving after graduation since I need to be on campus early. I know I chose to study at WEN University because of their college football. I want us to be together, but you know how much I love playing pro in the future, but I promise to co ho every weekend to be with you." I said, and I could see the sadness on gan's face.
"You will be studying here at Astikoz University, I wanted to ask you to co with , but I know you can't leave your parents," I said, and she looked at , and I cupped her face.
"Just thinking about the idea of you leaving Astikoz City pierced my heart, but as of now, I am more worried about eting your parents," gan said, and I caressed her face with my fingers, and I smiled at her.
"g, I don't need my father's permission to have you as my girl, especially now that I am an adult, but since they were my parents, I need to show them my respect. My dad doesn't want to play football, but that is my only dream g, and I will do everything I can to beco one. I have been dreaming about it, and nothing can stop from playing pro. I have a trust fund from my grandfather, and I can have it once I turn 21, and once I beco a professional football player, we will get married, and we will be together. I don't need to be the CEO of our company to be successful in life, g. All I need is to beco a professional football player.." I said, and I couldn't stop myself from feeling so excited about my plans for my future especially marrying gan.
